Très impressionnant comme point de vue. Pas besoin de beaucoup de temps, se fait très bien.

As soon as you hit the trail you’re climbing switchbacks all the way up until you hit Echo Mountain point. Beautiful views as your climbing and at the top of Echo Mountain. We went up to Inspiration Point thru Castle canyon trail, it’s a challenging trail with plenty of shade and great views. We came down the Sam Merrill Trail from inspiration point, at first it was nice, lovely tress and shade but then it was switchbacks all the way down with full sun exposure and no shade. As challenging as castle canyon trail is I Would definitely do this hike again.

Very touristy but if you’re okay with that then it’s breath taking... I understand why it’s filled with tourist because it’s easy to access off a main road, easy hike for the whole family, and beautiful views!

I would call it a walk than a hike, its too crowded and very touristy. It's nice but too crowded, got a feeling am in Niagara state park.

We weren’t expecting nudists at the hot spring but the trail was fun, challenging and had spectacular views.

Amazing view! Slight overcast but still could see everything! Be patient with the parking because it can be a mess but once you get to the top it’ll be worth it!

1st of all there's a gate that's locked. Once you find a way around you will need a vehicle with high-clearance to reach the top. Nobody said that in these comments so unless you want to waste time & money to go out and discover this disappointment like we did then listen up. Booo!

even in the rain it's worth the time

If you're going to do this hike, do it from Bradford Ridge. We did the Bradford Ridge side in July and it was much more enjoyable. Less people, more difficult (we like the challenge) and you don't have to deal with the gate guard. We are very respectful people and the gate guard was just rude. We were only going down for a couple hours and they made us take our wine bottle out of our packed cooler and put our firewood on the side and proceeded to tell us "we shouldn't even be open because people break rules all of the time." We weren't camping down there nor were we going to drink. We had brought my boyfriend's parents with us. It was just an annoying 20 minutes of telling us about stuff we didn't care to know about and the way the talked to us was condescending. I absolutely LOVE Deep Creek Hot Springs but will, for now on, do it from Bradford Ridge if I make my way back there someday.

tips:
If you do take this side, be short and sweet with the gate guard to avoid a long schpeil.
If you have firewood in your car (and aren't using it down by the creek...not allowed anyways) and don't feel like unloading all of it...put it under a blanket or hide it.
Also, if you have a bottle of wine under 10 pounds of ice, water and food and don't plan to drink it, don't tell them you have it because they'll make you dig through the big ass cooler to put it on the side of the road.

I am not typically a complainer but figured others needed to hear for themselves. I've read the reviews before going and prepared to be as nice/professional/respectful as possible. They're just annoying old crotchity folk.

Lots of people very hot. make sure to bring water.

Did this trail earlier today and it was invigorating to say the least!!! I didn’t know I had a fear of heights until hiking this trail because the path really gets narrow and steep with loose rocks so you really need to watch your step. The views were amazing and the weather was beautiful. I was prepared and had lunch up top at the picnic area where the big house used to be. That view is a must see. Great for those that have some experience and aren’t afraid of heights. Will definitely be back to hike the other trails!

Took this hike yesterday. We went counter clockwise but started from the store. At first we were happy the way we went but when we hit the last 2.5 miles on the rim trail we were not that happy. Great hike not sure which way to go!

Super easy with amazing views. We hiked a little further up too. a couple great shots from a slightly different hike.

Is camping no longer allowed at Bowen Ranch? I know it’s a long shot, but trying to get some intel last minute for an overnight trip out there tonight/tmrw.

I camped there last time but this was years ago. Maybe things have changed? Gatekeeper wasn’t bad like many have said, we were respectful and chill and didn’t have any problems. He gave us detailed directions for the hike in and some tips, such as starting while there’s still a bit of light, and paying attention to trail landmarks, as the trail can be confusing in the dark. The camping was nothing special (basically a gravel lot) but you’re there for the hot springs, not the campsite. They were as awesome as all the reviews indicate! Would go back again. Actually. We’re going today haha.

Considering another alternative—hiking in via Bradford Ridge. Can anyone recommend campsites an easy shot from that trail? Either developed or primitive... Main thing is it’s super last minute so looking for an option that doesn’t require reservations. Thanks!!’

Great trail ! Pretty easy trail that most people could do. I showed up at 1pm and both the main parking lot and backup parking lot were totally full, had to ride a shuttle in. If you shuttle in , get off at the visitors center stop and walk through the campground and up the mountain rim. The rim is part of the trail. Super pretty views here!

Great trail, great views throughout. Concur with others who recommend counterclockwise starting from fairyland parking lot.

A mostly mellow hike to one of the smaller peaks near Big Bear. Lots of trees. Trail is well maintained. The best panoramic views are actually to the west / north on the final mile or so to the peak. An Adventure Pass is required to park at the trail-head.

Beautiful hike. Not very shady. Can be quite hot during midday. We went in the late afternoon. A good option to consider.

Very cool views, went mid morning... half the canyon was in the shadows. If it’s not too hot I would recommend afternoon, but expect the crowds to be insane.

Outstanding hike. Best to do it counter clockwise.

trail is well marked and not as traveled as the queens/peekaboo loop. Loved it! Amazing views. If you can only do 1 hike while in Bryce, do this one.

We started our hike around sunrise from the Rim Trail adjacent to the North Campground, going clockwise. Saw maybe 6 people in first 2.5 hours of the hike so really like that benefit of an early start although it was 39 degrees so a bit chilly. Lots of early morning shadows complicated photo taking.
Took 4 hrs to completely the Fairyland Loop trail with lunch at the Tower Bridge and a million stops for photos.
Tip: Park at the visitor center overflow parking then walk through the North Campground just past loop “c”, taking a left up the short trail between campsites 60 & 61 to reach the Rim Trail.

Beautiful from start to finish. Truly Fairy like feeling ascending & descending around the Hoodoos!! Highly recommend!!!

Tour bus after tour bus. Not a bad walk out and back. Dogs enjoyed being able to go with us (otherwise we wouldn't have stopped). Looks like they are constructing new trail, unfortunately doesn't look wide enough to support amount of foot traffic this trail experiences. Watch out in the parking lot since it looked like a war for people to get a spot. Worth the walk to see the bend in the river though.

I hiked this solo last spring three different times. I included the 1 mile loop prior to going to the chair. It was fun and not too taxing but was great for the up and down of elevation. Good training hikes before hiking the Grand Canyon.

It’s a very cool hike,
I could see how the first mile is hard in the heat, uphill and no shade. But today was mild.
After the uphill in the beginning, it was easy and shaded most of the way.
There is another drastic elevation change as you near the devils chair, downhill., I would say about .5 mile. Coming back up is a bit challenging.
I will do it again.

Love this route. I do a winter hike here every year!

Amazing hike be sure to take plenty plenty plenty of water for the hike back up it’s killer but other than that the hot springs is awesome. $5 per person entrance fee to park at Bowen ranch it is not a 2 mile hike that man is lying he played my soul lol. It’s over 3 Miles almost 4 Miles. P.S. take plenty of water!!!!!!!!!!
