This trail has a good view of the entire landscape but it’s so plain that it doesn’t challenge me at all. I love it here when I need to walk with my baby boomer relatives or my lazy dog.

January 21st, must wear spikes and bring poles! Dress warm! It’s fantastic!

This isn’t for beginners, but I did it! I almost died. Ha! Just kidding. Very steep but it’s worth the trip. The views are majestic let alone the physical challenge it brings is exceptional. I’ll definitely be back here this summer when I visit COS.

Fairly flat so not much of a workout but def pretty. Could be good for mom/dad and also Pam - no cliff faces. You see 14er pikes peak for much of it, set against the foreground of red rock formations

This trail was a lot of fun. We went the day after we got some good snow fall so parts of the trail was icy from it being packed down. After bridge 6 it’s a bit steep for sure. I used spikes and had no issues. Beautiful trail!

Awesome hike! Snow packed where it’s shady and pretty muddy where there was sun. Spikes definitely would have helped but I was able to do it without them.

Great views of the front range just be careful of the bird droppings while looking at them.. I don't consider this a hiking trail though. This is a nice place for a stroll, run or walk with your dog. Paved sidewalks, work out stops, and nice park areas.

It was a great hike today. A little snow on the north side which Tucker the dog just loved.

Definitely I tough hike if your not used to elevation- probably not smart to fly in from Texas on 3 hours sleep and go directly to the hike. Considering all of that I made it 1.3 miles ( approximately 1700 steps) before deciding to be smart and take the 1st trail down. My stomach was jacked and my heart was pounding even though my pulse was not that high. Lesson learned - get in a few days early to acclimate, hydrate, and try it again. I still had a great hike and really enjoyed the views and light snow. On a positive note I did bring water, microspikes, and proper clothing

Note: went back today and made it up with no altitude issues. I will make this hike whenever I am in town - great workout

man what a workout but worth it. icy would suggest using spikes.

Great challenge for anyone. Scenic views. Well trafficked but not over crowded.

Ahhh, this luxurious park seems to have it all! It boasts trails of all levels, off leash dog area, and some fantastic views. I cannot remember which we hiked, as I feel we meandered between a few, but the experience was one to cherish. We hiked with our 7 year old and small dog among the red rock landscape. Coming up over a hill to take in the view of The Garden of the Gods at golden hour was nothing short of magnificent. I will certainly return to this open space to explore the remaining trails we were unable to complete.
(Hiked: March/2018)

Very close to the house and a good place for a quick escape from stress.

2nd time back and a little less rough but still very challenging. The final 200 steps are icy and spikes would be ideal but I did it without them.

Awesome trail and a great workout!!

Really enjoyed each time we’ve visited

Nice area for a short or long hike.

Challenging first 1.7 (according to Garmin watch) mile up through some ice and snow. Coming back down was gradual downhill and fun to run. Trail has some great views. We were there on a sunny winter Sunday and only came by a few other people.

A nice little trail that overlooks 7 Falls. The scenery is perfect, overlooking Manitou and Colorado Springs in the distance.

The only thing was that the trail gets very gravelly at the top of one of the slopes. With no guard rail or anything, it could take a little miss-footing to send someone over the edge of the cliff. So be careful of that.

LEG WORKOUT! So so worth it! Feels very rewarding to have completed this one.

Way more than I anticipated but worth every leg cramp and labored breath.

I first learned about this place in 2015. I took the opportunity to climb it in June 2016. It is a rather tough climb, especially if one is not in the best of physical condition as I was. The keys to complete this climb is to be absolutely committed to climb to the summit, take at least 2 liters of water (I use a camel pack), take your time & rest when necessary, and enjoy the stunning vistas. I plan on going back in June 2019, & maybe even climbing all the way to Pike's Peak, time permitting.

Returned to do the entire loop. Clocks in at 6.2 miles. Good workout, conquering the almost 1300 ft of elevation gain. Popular on the weekend, but few do the entire loop. Many sections of slippery ice/snow. I wouldn’t have felt comfortable without traction spikes, but saw some going without, although very slowly. The loop doesn’t exit where the parking/trailhead is, you need to turn right down snow-covered road to Gold Camp Rd, go up the hill to find trailhead parking. Long, challenging hike, but worth it as it is beautiful!

Incredible!

Nice hike with great views. First half can get snow/icy, so bring traction if you’re not “sure-footed”. Quiet during the week, popular hike on the weekend. Challenging up hill, but not hard. If you’re in decent shape, shouldn’t be a problem. Saw lots of deer. Beautiful view at the summit. Will do this trail again!

Just finished this trail today. After bridge 6 u need spikes on the shoes as it is really icy. We went 1 mile past bridge 7 and it was awesome. My hike today was 4.5 hours, 1,271 ascent and 4.7 miles total. Great day
