Good 3-4 hour loop with decent elevation.

I hike this trail twice as a kid with girl scout camp. So beautiful! Time to go again

Steep all the way up. I went in February 2018 on a rare sunny day. Gorgeous views of the gorge. The mountain weather changes drastically up top. Wear layers or at least pack prepared. I remember the wind being brutal. I’d love to go back when the flowers are blooming. Interesting history of the mountain too.

I hiked to the point from Multnomah falls on January 14th. it was epic. maybe a foot of old snow on the ground

A beautiful hike!

Google took us to a weird side road so the hike was quicker but was still beautiful!

fun trail with a beautiful over look over the river.

Hiked on 1/14/19. Super steep. Went up the difficult side which I feel good about because it was harder than heck. The last 1/2 mile was fog fog fog and icy. Not safe conditions doing it alone with out proper equipment. I will definitely hike this again.

Amazing Waterfall

This was the first place we stopped on our road trip to Oregon, the trail was closed because of the fires in 2017 but the falls themselves were absolutely gorgeous! definitely a lot of people there and you really have to wait to get on the bridge but it was worth it!

Love this hike. There was some fallen rock areas that made the trail a little tricky but totally worth the view!!! I was say this is def a moderate-hard hike, so be prepared. There is also another path that stems from this one, you’ll notice it on your descent, also totally worth the extra mileage. Great views!!!

I'm so sad that this trail is closed. I had some really amazing memories there.

A nice little hike with some steep sections and descent views at the top. I hiked during a damp day but the trails weren’t money at all. I’ve driven by this hike a million times and glad I finally decided to do it.

Beautiful hike

Absolutely Beautiful Ending and well worth the time to get there.... Recommended as a good Beginner Trail

Very good trail, would definitely do it again! Easy hike with young kids. Our 4 year olds walked the whole two miles and our 6 year olds said it wasn’t long enough. I suggest getting there early we showed up at about 10:30am and ran into a few big groups and a few individuals, however the parking lot was full when we got back and was filling on the side of the roads.

Trail is currently closed!!! Tried to take the pup here today but it’s all gated off!

Fun and semi easy 2 mile hike. Beautiful waterfall, but to get to the bottom of this fall, you will have to go down the steps at the end of the hike. There’s a nice waterfall half way up, which will definitely add value to the hike.

Super short and easy hike with a decent two tiered waterfall at the end. I recommend only going if you combine this outing with another hike in the Gorge, for example the Latourell falls.

Great exhausting hike, and well worth it with the views and flowers. Why bother hiking a sidewalk, hike Dog mountain because you'll feel like you've been somewhere and experienced something worthwhile!

Today was a lovely hike. The undergrowth and birds have returned. There were very few other people on the trail which also made it lovely.

The lower falls is stunning. There were a lot of people gathered at the base of it but the water fall was still beautiful. The upper falls was personally better but the lower falls did not upset.

The hike was beautiful. My girlfriend and I hiked this trail during the summer and enjoyed every bit of the views and nature. We personally enjoyed the upper falls better than the lower falls on the loop trail due to the fact that there were a lot less people and you could just get a lot closer. The trail itself had a couple look out points which made it that much more rewarding. Both are beautiful falls though.

Dog review: Took two of my dogs in December. It was a fun hike, with lots of PCT intersections near the loop part. We got a little off track, but glad I had my All Trails map (on phone), it was easy to right ourselves. Little frosty snow since we went early, the dogs loved it. Nice and easy on the knees since not a lot of elevation and only saw 2 other groups the whole hike. The lake is neat, but my favorite part was near where we got lost in the loop area. Definitely will be back to explore and off-shoot that connects to the PCT and has a little bridge that leads to some nice ridge views - sometimes getting lost is beneficial lol. Took the dogs and I just a couple hours. Pretty wide paths the whole time with minimal rock scramble, so nice on dog paws. Trail was so fast and there was so much water around we didn’t need to get into the dog pack for water at all.

AN ABSOLUTE MUST SEE!!! Has to be one of the most beautiful places on this planet. Steep, but my kids were able to do it just fine.

Beautiful and easy enough for a family. I captured vid with my drone. Here's a link to it.

Way too many people here to enjoy the water falls base. But the higher you go up the fewer people there are and the view improves too. Since the fire happened the trees are thinner allowing you to see more of the river and the far side of the river. I love Multnomah Falls but I wish it was less accessible to Instagram model wannabes.

If you don't like edges, don't do this waterfall hike!!

Took about an hour and a half. Took my time and enjoyed the beauty of the trail. The part of the trail on the other side of the main road is paved, but the trail that loops above the waterfall is dirt. I encountered several families that were enjoying themselves. There are definitely opportunities to get too close to an edge, but there seemed to be adequate precautions to prevent that from happening. I will definitely be doing this hike again.

I did this as a fall hike, and it was really lovely. I went up the “most difficult” side and came down “difficult”, and would recommend this if you struggle more with walking down steep grades more than walking up them. Beautiful views of the gorge, and done in almost exactly 3 hours.
