Walked this trail in January on a gorgeous clear day. It cemented my new found love of the Rockies!

This trail is awesome because it gives people who can't hike to some of the other mountain lakes a chance to see one almost just as good. This trail is wheelchair accessible. The lake is beautiful and it is a great place to hike. The trail also connects to a large loop that connects several mountain lakes. You don't want to miss this one.

Gorgeous views. Easy half mile hike. Perfect for kids.

Crowded but so beautiful. Not much of a hike at all.

Easy to moderate, gets your muscles working but nothing too strenuous. Maybe not the best for young children in some parts for inexperienced/non-local people like myself but still doable!

A quick and easy walk. I’d recommend doing this as a cool down from the Emerald Lake Trail.

easy and beautiful, a postcard

Very beautiful and enjoyable for the family. Kids loved it and it was not to demanding for our 4 and 2 year old.

Very relaxing hike. Best advice for getting there is to arrive early to Rocky Mountain National Park. The longest part about this trip was waiting to get in. The sights are beautiful and it’s a great easy hike.

You should at least see bear lake

If you are around, just do this loop. It's nothing exceptional, but it's worth it. Very easy. But so many people.

It's a stroll not a hike. but it is absolutely beautiful. We went late around 4 or 5 pm and there were very few people, so it was a serene and wonderful end to the day. If it was very crowded, I don't think I would have enjoyed it.

Happy we added this walk before getting back on the shuttle. Really beautiful views!

gorgeous, although there are several parts without actual trails. There was never a single sign that said "diamond peaks", so definitely read the reviews below for more on that. My GPS wasn't working as I was coming down from diamond peaks, so I had to just walk in the direction of the road, which left me pretty muddy. At the top of north diamond peaks, you can continue to the South diamond peaks, then retrace to the path., but if you're pressed for time, the views aren't much different :) . Some snow was blocking the paths here and there today, June 15, but I had good boots on so I was fine. Again, gorgeous views and worth the trip.

The lake was beautiful and worth taking the shuttle from the Park and Ride. However, it was very, very crowded.

Warning this hike is very crowded. Lots of kids and no hikers. This hike is basically a nature walk, so very nice views, but if you want something more substantial go up. Also if you plan on going to Alberta falls go here first and head down to the falls. Up is a pain with little payoff.

We tried to go here on our first day in the park. We left Estes Park at 8:30, but the shuttle parking lot was already full. We returned the next morning at 6am and had a quiet peaceful walk around the lake.

Usually hike this trail in off peak (late spring or fall) this being my first visit in the busier summer season. Of course I'm used to a more peaceful version of the trail as the crows and inexperienced folks ran amuck! Still one of the true gems of RMNP and glad it is available to all to see!!

I Like it! But there were too much people.

Took this trail on 6/10/18. Leisurely walk around the lake with a nice spur trail to go up on the ridge to overlook. Saw a large bull moose in the marsh on side of the trail and lots of people were taking Picts.

Excellent views. Spotted an elk at the top!

Great easy hike if you just stop here. Lake is beautiful. Completed early June with zero snow.

Nice leisurely stroll around a beautiful lake

Great little stroll to take with young children. We saw a moose, muskrat, hummingbirds and ducks.

This trail was ok... Nymph Lake was pretty buggy, and stagnant, push on towards Dream & Emerald Lake. Those are truly remarkable!

This was an easy one. Views were good. There was some snow here and there. But the most difficult part was parking.

A great easy trail around Bear Lake. Bear Lake is one of the most photogenic lake with great accessibility. Get there early, afternoons are pretty busy

Perfect for family and friends visiting from lower elevations. Not too crowded today, and we saw lots of wildlife (including several harmless snakes!).
