really fun trail, not scenic but a nice challenge. I did this in a stock JL sport with upgrade a/t tires without too much issue.

Great trail, did this in a stock jl sport s with an average of ~3-6 inches of snow. Some parts were definitely a challenge but in dry conditions.

Trail is a good mix of fantastic view points, moderate challenges and fun trail driving weaving through trees.

Wouldn’t recommend full size trucks, may be a bit tough to navigate but not an issue for 4door Jeep sized vehicles.

My first time going and we had a blast. I gave a 99xj 6.5” long arm with 4:88 on 35,s and went through this trail like nothing to it. I went during the summer and it was nice. Few other trucks wheeling. I will go back. Can’t wait for snow! I give 5 starts cuz my entire family had fun driven.

Great drive

Road this trail with Atvs. Difficult at times but keeps you alert! Narrow and winding trail does cross other trails so take map/GPS. Douglas County Mountain Rescue was in the area. Good to know!

This trail was not very difficult, but still somewhat fun. The views are amazing, but I just wish the trail was harder. As of 10/20/18 there are hunters everywhere, but that is probably ever October.

great trail! took a bone stock 99 Jeep Cherokee with 31" all terrain tires on this trail and made it with no problems. was able to do most difficult sections, but had to swerve around some areas because I didn't have lockers. great trail making for lots of fun

Hiked the trail near Georgetown on an 8 hour layover on our vacation. It was cloudy and sleety, but it was the best layover we have ever experienced.

This was a good off-road trail. We did it with our 2004 Land Rover Discovery II stock and Copper Adventurer HT tires (yes HT). Granted that when possible we used the moderate "bypasses". For those more "difficult" sections we did take advantage of everything that our truck has to offer, 4 low range, diff lock and traction control. Bottom line, it is doable with the right rig, even stock and some experience (we did the 100 miles of the White Rim in Moab using the same Disco in exactly the same stock configuration).

Scenic driving. Not an Offroad trail. Pretty though.

We did two hikes, one close to Georgetown and another one at the end of the trail. Both were great, but we enjoyed more the second one, walking very close to the river.

Great trail, perfect time of year to see aspen leaves change. Only downside is that there are lots of horse droppings on trail.

would not attempt in a stock or even moderate rig. Pretty easy in my 4 seat UTV. Nice trail with some good views.

Metberry Gulch is a cool trail with lots to look at. The rock formations are endless and the mix of red dirt makes it a cool area. The trail has been nerf'd so the notch area I drove past and almost missed it. The giant rut at the bottom of the slab has been filled in as well making it more like coming out of a parking garage than a major obstacle. Even when this trail was "bad" my buddy did it in his stock Frontier, never been offroad before. If you'd like to see a video of the run I have one up at:

I walked the Gold Camp Road that is closed to vehicles, leads to Seven Bridges Trail and St. Mary's Falls Trail. The parking lot at the trailhead had very limited space. The hike was decently busy, granted it was a weekend afternoon. It was a bit warm, with limited shade. Unfortunately, Tunnel 3 is closed, barred off from pedestrians. The hike did offer some very nice views though!

Awesome drive

Sweet trail close to town, has a couple areas that require some ground clearance but nothing major. The Aspen trees are all starting to change color and look awesome.

Great scenic drive to see the fall foliage. The drive is easy and has many beautiful views. Do go slow through parking areas as a lot of hikers and dogs are crossing the road. Fairly popular right now, lots of leaf peepers and parking is limited.

Pretty mild at first just zig zagging through the trees and some ruts to go through. Then once you get on 313 gets real fun and a little challenging for a stock vehicle. There is a trail that wasn’t on the map by the air force over look, so went and checked it out. The trail was pretty fun at first but then it gets real difficult at a rutted out turn between two trees, then goes onto being a steep v notched road that leads to a camp spot on a deadend. Probably not the best for the stock rig but made it none the less. But other than that sticking to the main trail on the map makes for a fun little trip, definitely again.

Bone Stock Cherokee

Super easy trail . Nice to chill and look at the scenery , moderately busy on the weekends.

It was an awesome run! Once we got to the top, the sleet started coming in, but the scenery was beautiful. It was disappointing to not see an American flag waving, at the top. So, if anyone makes this run, please take a flag to the top with you.

Nice trail! Camped with friends and there were amazing views. Most of the trail is easy, but with recent rains the three technical spots were washed out making a fun challenge. Definitely need 4x4 clearance though and not awd.

‘16 power wagon on 315s made the trail easy.

Great trail, we camped there this past weekend and ran it Sunday when we left, the views are amazing!

My son and I had a great time! Easy trail but the views are amazing and the river at the end was a lot of fun to play in.

This was a fun trail. I did it on a stock FJ cruiser with some 285 tires with no lift. Most of the trail was pretty doable and there were a few parts going back up hill that we had some difficulty but nothing major. Seriously a really pretty drive...only saw two other cars out there both more well equipped that mine so they were able to speed along a bit more . Also had a few areas with some deep standing water (2 feet deep or so) but looked like there was just enough room to go around it a bit. I’ll give this one another try when my rigs upgraded a bit :)

beautiful drive but not somewhere I would like with kids, it's a busier road.

This has been my brother and I's rookie year with the off road trails, we wanted to cap off our summer with a tough trail.

Redcone is an awesome trail and tough in spots about a half a mile in or so there is a large boulder the ruts are getting pretty deep, this to me was the most difficult obstacle. great views at the top, jeeps and short wheel base vehicles shouldn't have any problems.

also came down the switchbacks on Webster pass had about 6" of clearance to the edge of trail in the dodge.

As for us:
I'm in a 2004 chevy silverado 1500 crewcab 6" lift on 35's no lockers
my brother 2015 dodge ram 1500 crewcab 6" lift on 33's no lockers

Great course for beginners to experience easy to moderate trails. There is just enough traffic to feel safe if you go alone, but also spaced out enough to feel like you are the only one in the world. The recording is spot on and the notes along the way help a lot. Highly recommended.
