Hardly a hike but of course beautiful. Crowded due to tourism but what can you do, it’s quite the sight to see.

We walked this on an afternoon in mid April just as the snow melt was accelerating. This is one of our favourite hikes we've done in a long time; the views throughout the trail are incredible, and the variation in plants and wildlife is amazing.

I'd call this a low-moderate trail. Yes, there is a steep and strenuous climb at the start, but it is not technical and has no scary drops. Beyond that it's just a beautiful walk in the woods that gets easier - and better - as it goes on. Even with endless bird watching and a 40 minute stop at the end, it took us under 4 hours total, so I'd encourage people who are fighting fit to look into the lake route (double this one) and make a full day of it. We were sad we couldn't go further.

Saw a Hairy Woodpecker, plenty of lovely little Mountain Chickadees, some Townsend Solitaires, the lovely Dark Eyed Junco and some very cute little critters running about the wood piles!

The waterfall is incredible - well worth getting to.

just getting into fitness and hiking and this is an amazing trail.

WARNING LOTS AND LOTS OF STAIRS

My first Mountain to hike. Started at 6am and got back to my car 4pm. Beautiful views once above tree line all the way to the top. I took my time enjoying my day alone and was in no rush hung out at the top about an hour. Last August

Easy trail if you stick to the formation area; it’s all paved. Going to the actual trail is a little more like a real hike instead of a stroll. Trail is still very easy, even if you do the four mile loop. More of a nature walk than a hike; if you are looking for a hike or something remotely challenging look elsewhere. Views are beautiful though!

I would give it 5 stars for the views, however, have to take one back for being crowded and at parts, too "touristy", which is a good thing if you are a tourist, I suppose

Nice, fun loop. You can really make it your own as it has alot of other trails surrounding it. We didn't do the whole loop this time as the parking lots near it were at capacity so we ended up on the other side of the park. We did this trail on a Sunday morning, alot of people and cars if possible go on a weekday.

Absolutely amazing! So didn’t wanna come home! A must see. :)

Very pretty! Easy. Enjoyed getting a photo of Pikes Peak through the window between the twins!

The trail was beautiful, it was challenging, but not overly difficult. Unfortunately, I think we went a little too early in the season. About 2miles in, it just got so muddy. We decided to turn back & try again in a few months.

Super pretty!!! It’s really fun to hike around or drive around. Lots of different trails with views of rocks and mountains.

Good for family. There is a little area kids can play on the rocks. Great for some family photos to.

Easy hike, moderate crowd, very well marked trails and easy to follow maps. Beautiful scenery!

Very easy path to follow. Hardly any snow until just the end of the trail getting to the falls— spiked aren’t necessary but were helpful on the way down. Used the “getting there” feature from this app and it was totally wrong. Found directions to the trailhead from a dif site. Gorgeous views of the surrounding ranges and great workout! Glad we found this gem.

It’s cool to be near the main rocks, but this trail is very crowded. Try another trail to get more solitude.

Very easy pretty loop

good easy quick loop

Lovely at sunrise!

Very easy hike with some cool rock formations that provide great picture opportunities. Completed with a 1.5 yr old and 4 yr old without difficulty.

Hiked in the middle of winter on a nice sunny day. Views followed by aspen groves and a few creek crossings made for a scenic hike with lots of packed snow closer to the falls. My 5 and 11 year enjoyed the hike but think about taking lunch or food in general if you have kids. It took my 5 year old about 4.5 hours.

Very beautiful. Easy terrain. Limited parking.

One of the most beautiful places in the world. I spent a season building the Mt. Massive trail that fork from this one and consider this valley a second home. It can get kinda crazy with peak baggers on summer weekends but once you get past the summit fork you might as well be alone in the world. A wonderful place to clear your mind and enjoy the wilderness.

Parked and hiked a bit, walked back and drove to the next parking spot. Hiked a bit again. Gorgeous, paved trails.

Did this hike back mid September last year. straightforward until 1/4 above treeline. got icy and a bit snowy. had to don microspikes. quads were buurrnniinnngg. vast wind gusts at the top, some shelter but not much. simply amazing views! 3L water was enough. trail was well marked.

This is always our first stop when we are in town. Great easy hike.

Combination of paved and gravel trails surrounding and through the park and gorgeous rock formations. Not terribly crowded on a chilly February morning, but the views would be worth a visit even in the busier summer months.

Lots of mountain goats

They elevation made this hike more difficult, but the view from the top is definitely worth it. I started hiking around 7:50 in the morning and arrived at the summit at about 11:55. I spent about 2 and a half hours at the summit and left to head down at 2:30. I arrived at the trail head at 5:30. It was challenging but i would definitely recommend doing this hike.

Love this trail! Gorgeous views and easy enough that my 4yr old can enjoy it.
