Beautiful day on the trail. Even though this is ranked moderate it’s a tough one. The views from the arch are incredible.

Awesome hike! The climb was a fun challenge. Be ready for a crowd.

Great day for a hike. Beautiful park. A bit too crowded for me. I got here early so parking was not an issue but there are not a lot of spots to park.

Went this past weekend 2018-04-15 and road was open to trail head.

Decent short hike to a great view! Too many peope.

Very rocky and in some areas eroded. Nice tree coverage. For the most part a lot of incline... up up up! Heavy traffic on the weekends, lots of families and dogs. The parking lot was full by 1 PM on Sunday.

Busy. Lots of bikes.

It feels like 18,000 stairs. Moderate? The view at the top made it worth it. Very challenging hike. It was not crowded at all but the parking lot was full.

Have done this hike multiple times. Short but challenging as it a pretty consistent climb. The trail is clear of all snow and ice at this point. The nicer weather has brought out huge crowds lately, so go early! I had the top to myself today for several minutes around 930 AM. Great views at the top!

Moderate/difficult but totally doable. Heavily trafficked but really beautiful and worth it.

I was thoroughly surprised with how much I enjoyed this trail. It was much more difficult than I anticipated, you’ll definitely get your heart rate up. But it’s worth the climb. It’s very rocky most of the trail which my pup and I loved, but I did notice a couple older ones who struggled climbing a bit in some steep spots.

Beautiful hike with amazing views. may be kid friendly but DEFINITELY not stroller friendly so I wouldn't recommend it with a young toddler that can't walk the whole thing (like my two year old.)

One of my absolute favorite hikes during the week and in the off season. During the warmer months and on weekends this drops far down my list with the amount of people on the trail. This is definitely on the higher end of the Moderate scale if not straight up Hard. This was slippery from when I went last October to this past week in April. Definitely recommend spikes or crampons, saw many people fall on their backs. The view from the Arch is beautiful and a great place for a rest and picnic.

Beautiful

Great hike with the most rewarding views around!

We went while the road was still closed so be warned it adds an extra 6 miles to the start of the trail head for the hike. The road leading to the trail head was open dirt road. Fun for dogs, just was a very long trip if your not expecting it or not the best hiker.
If your going when the road closes pack a lunch it’s a long trip, we didn’t see any trash cans so what you bring in take with you out.
Overall I would have said 5-5 stars but when we went we had the impression it was 6 miles added on round trip not both ways so very under prepared and had a rough time but the view was worth it!

It was very beautiful, but I have trouble breathing in high altitudes. I would defiantly recommend it. It was really hard, but I persevered and when I got to the top, it was breathtaking!

One of my favorite trails because the end is so rewarding! Beautiful views.

not exactly easy going up because there was no flat area. going up was a bit challenging. the trail was beautiful; covered in a fresh snow. lots of unleashed dogs running around and pushed me. almost fell because of that. it was windy too, but a good trail overall.

Worth every step!!!

Awesome hike however I recommend hiking shoes some parts have a lot of slush and wet! Very slippery

This hike was great! With recent snow, the hike was 98% snow covered trail, but thankfully very little ice. Half of our group wore tennis shoes and shorts and they slipped a bit, but survived. If you have yaktraks or extra traction for shoes, bring it. Once through the trees, it got really windy and cold. We were greeted with blue skies and beautiful views at the top!

Muddy and Icy. Climbed in trail shoes. Most people were wearing tennis shoes but that is stupid. Wear something with some grip.

Great trail! Covered in thick snow: Yak Traks are a must. Trail is rated as easy but to me it’s more toward moderate. It’s very well marked which made it easy to follow but it’s a good climb.

Great reward at the top!

Beautiful, my two youngest boys (4,7) loved it and did great!

Well packed snow through the initial wooded area with a few spots above tree line with ~6”. Totally doable without poles or spikes right now. Great 360 views from the top, but be ready for some wind. A few large boulders made for some easy wind shelters for stopping to snack. Parking is on the roadside near the ski lift for echo mountain (trailhead can be easy to miss if there aren’t other cars parked already). This hike would make a great introduction to a bit of altitude for a lowlander without being too long or strenuous.

The trail was beautiful but difficult because the slush and ice basically made the stairs into a giant, steep slip and slide, but if you are careful and walk with intention, you’ll be fine. The arch is definitely worth the hard work of getting there and the trail goes between the second and third flatiron so you can get up close.

$7 for a day pass but there are miles and miles of trails ! We did a 6.5 mile loop (many trails connect and loop to each other). Pretty creek in the canyon . Trails along the creek at the canyon bottom and rim trail along the edge of the canyon . Old dam you can hike to as well! Many nice lookouts . Enjoyable hike . Playground for kids near parking area. Some restroom. Dog friendly and rock climbing areas too.
