Lovely hike today 4/17. Lots of people and dogs, fresh snow but plenty packed down. Used spikes and was fine. Went about 4 total - glacier was snow covered.

Super pretty and well packed down trail in the snow. No crampons and we were fine!

A good amount of snow, spikes recommended but not necessary. Trailhead is clearly marked but not the rest. The inclines are quite steep but the views are WORTH it

Some slush only towards the beginning, then pretty solid snow the rest of the way (not too icy today). Have your spikes on standby if you plan on going further up. The lake is frozen over still in April, but still a beautiful view. Can’t wait to come back in the summer!

Really enjoyed the hike! Opted for an easy mountaineering route up the northeastern face of the main face. Really fun with an axe and crampons.

No snow or mud. Had the opportunity to boulder in some spots on the trail. Little chillier than expected but overall great day out on the trail.

Great trail! Beautiful views - especially Brothers Lookout. I was looking for a fun hike with our dog. Took us close to 2 hrs to do the full loop but we took our time. definitely recommend this one! there was barely any snow and no mud.

Nice well maintained trail. No shade 80% of the trail and pretty windy today. Enjoyable nonetheless!

Started late morning on a Sunday and as could be expected it was very busy. Parking lot was full but I found a spot on the shoulder along the main road. A lot of bikers out too that’ll sneak up in you quick. I found myself looking over my shoulder the whole time to making sure my dog and I were out of the way when needed. Great views!

Beautiful! Spikes definitely help especially if you want to go past the lake. Very tough up for me but enjoyed it all!

Still pretty iced, bring $5 cash for parking, crampons necessary, don’t even attempt to use the port-a-potty’s in the parking lot

My husband and I had a great hike. The actual trail from the winter parking and the trail to the lake isn’t anything special but the lake and surrounding mountains and crags were beautiful. We wore spikes which helped. A little deep near the lake. We had the lake to ourselves and spent a good amount of time relaxing there.

HikingGreat!

Nice straightforward hike. The trail is never particularly steep, rocky, or technical in any way. Views are good, but nothing particularly special in April. I imagine it could be very pretty during wildflower season. I went on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, and I literally didn't see another person hiking the trail. Really nice to go on a hike where you just see the nature around you and no other people.

Great trail but still a lot of snow and ice on the ground micro strikes would be great.

Beautiful!! The wind and the altitude were rough but the view at the top is gorgeous. I’m glad we brought our spikes
