A beautiful easy hike, but waaay too many buses with way too many "visitors". Glad we went, but might not recommend. My husband tried to use the mens room but was shut out as the "bus people" were using the mens room for their women.

great little hike ut was raining the whole time but still nice view at the top

Great hike. I couldn't see much of anything on the top of Peaked Mountain yesterday, but I didn't mind... the Brook trail (filled with marshes and lush beauty) made my day : ) It was a nice change of pace to hike a trail not entirely made up of rocks too... some of them got slippery approaching the summit though, so next time I'll pick a day when it's not raining to see the view : )

Easy walk and extremely beautiful, but too commercialized.

great quick hike

Reading previous reviews I thought that finding the trail head is going to be difficult, but it's not. Writing "cobble hill trailhead" on Waze leads you right to the trail.
We did the steep way up with a 35 lbs, 3-year-old toddler on my back and it's totally doable. We took the longer way down through Echo lake.
The signs throughout the trail are very clear.
Overall, this is a great hike which combines fun with a little challenge.

Enjoyed hike

Nice easy hike to a pretty view of Lake George. Partially obstructed views but still worth the climb. After hiking to the View we went back down and looped around to the falls which was very pretty. The kids (ages 5, 6, 8, 9) loved it. We took a short cut to the falls so the total hike was about 5 miles instead of 6.3.

Fun hike, very well cleared, and still get a workout in. I would definitely recommend taking the “short” way up. At the summit there isn’t much of a view due to trees, but about 0.1 miles before along the hard route you get a cool view of Lake Placid.

Well used trail around Falls and to Lake George. Nice for kids.

First trail of the LP9ers. We had a great time. Parts of the trail were a little technical but nothing crazy. Good loop trail.

Enjoyable little hike to the top of the falls. Some very nice views close to the edge of the falls across the valley. Perfect for a quick hike on an overcast day where panoramic views are not the goal. Second part of the hike to the base of the falls was OK, short & flat.

Nice view, trail up the mountain is a bit eroded

We did the loop, taking the longer lake side first. We decided to take the shorter steep side on the way back. Good thing there was a rope on a very steep section to help us down. We had to cut our dog loose so he could maneuver for himself.
It had rained in the early morning so everything was still pretty wet/slick.
Fun hike with nice views at the top.

Very gradual until the top with lots of spots for the dog (or humans) to swim on a hot day. Great views! Somewhat crowded by the thirteenth lake area. Our dog hikes often, and I know some said their dogs couldn’t make it all the way. Our Aussie/husky 50 lb medium dog had no issues on this one, but smaller or less agile dogs may have a tougher time.

rock climbing

Really amazing place! Did the hiking paths above and inside. The rock formations were out of this world. Highly recommend the rock climbing adventure part also. This place is a must see for anyone in the area!

Loved this! Easy to find and great for families. We hiked down to the lake and enjoyed the coves and boat watching.

I did the falls and then kept going to walk along the lake. Falls and Lake George were very pretty and it was a easy relaxing one with the kids. I went on a Tuesday morning so it was pretty quiet, sounds like it might get busier on weekends. Would like to come back and do the mountain when I have more time.

Beautiful trail, nice and easy and dog friendly until the top. We got pretty close to the top and had to turn around due to our dogs sliding on the rocks and unable to climb the roots of trees. We boosted our dogs a few times to get closer but didn't feel comfortable or safe enough bringing them further. Loved the view of the lake, pond and stream on the way up.

Terrific hike with a fair amount of scrambling at the top. Lots of water (lake, pond and streams!) for our 2 dogs. Took 3 of us 4 hours to make it to the top of the peak and back. Even on a cloudy day, the peak was worth it. Will definitely be doing this one again.

on Peaked Mountain Trail

Great hike to the Peaked Pond with nice views of thirteenth lake, a stream, and rolling hills. The last mile to the mountain was steep, challenging, and made slippery due to the light rain. It was definitely not easy, and we had to grab onto roots and rocks at times. We made it to the top but didn’t have a view due to the clouds. There were trails to a couple of ponds on route to Peaked Pond that are worth another trip to explore.

was a great first hike in the adirondacks with my 10 and 14yr old. Beautiful views.

Terrific hike. everything you could ask for. Beautiful lake to start and end the hike on (go swimming). Moderate hike to an awesome pond. and a Tough ascent up the mountain to get a good workout. great views. the trail,is aroimd 7.5 miles total.

Don't listen to the other post's when they say that there is obstructed views. When you get to the top, you think there is no view but you have to go down about 200 feet and there's a clearing and the view is spectacular. 180 degree views. Highly recommend!!!!

Really liked the hike overall, especially since able to get up close to the falls. The place seems to get very busy though, appears to be a local hangout. Further down the trail along the lake is a cove that had 15 to 20 boats filling it up, lots of noise at that point. If plan to venture here you do have to drive about 5 miles down a dirt road to get there.

Great hike for the family

super convenient from where we are staying (beech hill). a nice, quick, relatively easy hike with some nice views from the top. the scramble up the steep side is difficult as advertised (there’s a rope to help you get up the steepest section) - but totally do-able for most.
