Hiking

Did this one a few weeks ago with the dog and she loved it. Pretty easy trail until you reach the cave area which might require some scrambling. It’s worth climbing up into the little cave perch at the top for the view if you’re not afraid of heights!

Rock climbingNo shadeRocky

Ok, let’s get a real review here. Yes, the view at the top was quite nice, but was not worth the hike. Their are many other hikes in Sedona with just as nice or better views. If you’re looking for a good workout hike this is it. If you’re out of shape this is not for you! Coming down is just as dangerous as going up. Not a hike for trekking poles. If you need them then at least put the rubber tips on. Steel tips will do you no good. Also, not a trail for dogs. Not sure what these people are thinking. Very little shade and you need to hike the top to see the full view. It’s NOT a 360 degree view as some people have posted. Go early. Glad I hiked it but not worth a return trip. Hiked in just over 3 hours round trip.

Rock climbingOff trailRocky

This is a nice hike but it’s quite difficult towards the peak or top. Many parts are only a single passage and not for hikers with physical limitations. It’s just not safe. The start of the hike is quite dusty so if the wind kicks up be ready. Towards the top their were hikers that went off the trail that pushed rocks off onto hikers below, me being one of them so beware. This is NOT a hike for dogs towards the peak or Bridge. Not sure who you’re trying to impress but your putting your dog and yourself in danger.

HikingFeeGreat!RockyScramble

The Husband and I did this one around 3pm on a Tuesday afternoon and I almost shed a tear when we got a spot in the 2nd lot on the first try. I didn't think we would get a spot at all and be able to do the hike! When we left about an hour later, there were multiple cars waiting outside the lot for a spot. There is also a bathroom at the trailhead. The hike up was very intense. We almost turned around towards the middle when it got pretty steep and narrow but I'm so glad we didn't! It's definitely not as scary going down. I was wearing Danner hiking boots and my Husband was wearing sneakers and he definitely slid as we were coming down more than I did. Good shoes are needed! I crab crawled or slid on my butt most of the way down, and crab crawled most of the way up. There is a few spots that are only one way so you have to wait for others, but even though the trail was busy, it didn't seem too crowded and qe still had time to ourself and pictures without anyone in them.. There are a few small flat spots to rest on the way up, but most of it is steep uphill or stairs. The views of Sedona from the top are outstanding and totally worth it! We didn't see any kids or dogs on this hike and my Husband and I were definitely some of the oldest on the trail.

We came in early afternoon, got parking with no problem and no line at the bridge. Not an easy hike

HikingGreat!

Very easy nice hike , except when you've almost reached the birthing cave you will need to take some deep breaths and take it easy going up. There are always wanna be photographers taking pictures expecting you to leave there space which is actually everyone's space ,so beware and be fair!My dog easily climbed up and climbed down. Do not recommend if you have ankle surgery recently or unsteady balance. The views looking East are gorgeous! Enjoy!

The first mile is very dusty. It is steep towards the end. The views are well worth it.

Great trail. Beautiful scenery. Watson trail is definitely a work out. Although there are signs more sighs more frequently are needed I went off on the wrong trail a few times. This app was definitely a lifesaver.

Easy 8 mile round trip. Moderately busy, parking limits the crowds. Nice red canyon walls and a surprising amount of vegetation for Arizona.

When they say this shit is hard, they are NOT lying. I was pretty much crawling the last 20ish minutes. I thought about laying down and letting God take me right then and there multiple times. I did it in just over 3 hours and the views are incredible but it is a real struggle on the way up

Windy towards the top, crampons and poles are good in some areas. The last mile or two is rocky. Cool views at the top and also on the way up. Would recommend downloading the map.
