The trail was well maintained. Trails were pretty well marked. Trail was marked as moderate but I thought it to be easyfor any family.. Several families had baby stroolers on the rock trail and concrete trails as well. For me It had too many trails that just ended and you had to walk back out. I like it to be more of a loop. When we went the big freeze had just ended. A lot of the foliage looked dead.
Very well kept gravel trail with some nice overlooks. Great place to bird watch. Pretty crowded on a weekend though.
There don't seem to be many opportunities for a walk around here so we were happy to find it. Lots of benches, some overview points. Nice walk. Probably as good as it gets here but not much to write home about.
Serendipitous evening walk.
Nice, mostly paved, trail. Pretty water views. Easy walk.
Little of all ! Beautiful walk, hike - bird watching
Short trail that leads to a historical site in the dunes. The trail is easy to manage, but be aware that the sand is deep in places and we got several burrs in our socks. It's worth the effort to climb the dunes and see this.
nice trail, part gravel and pavement.
Not much of a hike, but had some entertaining parts to it.
The trail is no longer available as they began to build over it
Nice paved trail
This is one of my go to trails for when I want to get a 5k run in off road. Although a good portion of the trail is paved , there is plenty of distance you can explore that is either gravel, stone, or packed down dirt. Some parts of trail , the grass is over grown a bit but overall great views on the decks that are facing Oso Bay. Best time is to go when the sun is rising.
We enjoyed small hike up the hill to see some WWII history. Very cool! Highly recommend it.
Wide cement walkway to the Oso with an unpaved branch across a wetland into classic South Texas brush country makes for a lovely quick escape into nature.
Fantastic Trail!
This is a short hike up and down steep and sandy dunes. You will encounter two sets of ruins from a World War II gun placement (think Howitzers). The guns were placed on the dunes to protect nearby oil storage tanks from possible attack by Nazi submarines.
