So beautiful with snow and waterfall.
1/24 gorgeous with all the snow! Definitely need spikes on your shoes but other than that beautiful hike
Fantastic! You will need crampons to make it to the upper falls. Otherwise, plan on slipping and sliding. I met so many friendly people on the trail, too.
Good shit
Awesome trail very pretty good views a little muddy
very icy 23 Jan
Beautiful very few hikers. Lots of ice micro spikes are a must if you are going to the falls
As of 19 Jan, there is lots of ice on the trail and me and my pups turned around at a steep part.
Icy for sure. Bring spikes.
Icy icy, wear your spikes. Otherwise very few people and great day
Icy! Don’t try it without spikes! We ended up sliding down on our bottoms on the way day because it was too slick, even with spikes. Super pretty frozen waterfall at the end! Took us about 2 hours round trip without hurrying.
Definitely need spikes especially on the way down
Very good trail I only made it to Shepard lake and then camped there at an amazing site by the waterfall. It was a great first backpacking experience would recommend
Great hike. It was very muddy in parts and slick in others. Spikes recommended. Only bad thing is that the peak was pretty crowded with people sitting. I ended up just going right back down.
Love this hike! I’ve done it so many times, worth it every time.
1/17/21 - Very pretty, just super icy. Agree with previous reviews, spikes are critical and poles would be helpful.
The frozen waterfall is amazing. Slick and icy on most of the trail. Highly recommend using spikes. I saw quite a few people without spikes turn before getting to the falls.
Icy, SO beautiful!!
