Starts out in a neighborhood. You don’t really lose the highway sounds during this hike. No shade along the trail. It gets a nice view of Golden, and is good for when you want a quick hike close to Denver. Nothing spectacular.

Easy fun hike! The neighbors in the area are super friendly.

GO SEE THIS TRAIL AFTER A LIGHT SNOW. It’s Christmas card worthy.

Nice trail, well marked & maintained. We did a 12 mile loop, beautiful day, hardly any bikes or other hikers. It was a weekday in mid-October, however.

Not a very challenging trail and pretty scenic.

Nice trail, a good place to just get out for a while. Not too easy or too hard, a good workout going up.

Beautiful trail, more like moderate with some hard sections. Pretty easy overall. Exposed with little shade. Encountered a rattle snake on the trail!

Note: the direction button for this trail leads you to the Green Mountain Trailhead, which is on the other side of Dakota Ridge! If you go there you'll probably have an easier time finding parking than at the Matthews/Winter park. You start on the Zorro Trail across the road, which leads you up to Dakota Ridge. I accidentally went down Green Mountain trail because I missed the signs and was looking for the red rocks trail. I drove to Matthews instead and took red rocks to Dakota. I kind of likes that way better. *

*bikes arent allowed the first portion of the village walk trailhead I think but are on Zorro.

Really unique rock formations. Coyote song is an easy trail, some inclines but nothing crazy. If you take the Lyons Back trail towards columbine trail it gets pretty steep. You can also go off path a lil and climb up to the ridge. Views were awesome, would not recommend the ridge climb to kids or anyone unsure of physical ability. Def go again, quick drive from Denver.

Bergen Peak has a beautiful view. This trail didn't have many scenic views and I hardly saw any fall colors but all in all it was still a nice trail and definitely a good workout. Also, a great place for trail running.

We went early in the AM and found parking. The trail wasn't rugged and we saw some deer.

Great hike! Views the entire way up and down. Good trail running once you’re at the loop. Left around 10am and back to the car at 11:20.

Did this hike yesterday in the middle of a snow shower, and it was really nice! Like others, we missed the turnoff for the falls, but found it after finding the sign on our way back down. Apparently, we hiked nearly 1/2 a mile past it. My phone was acting up, so I wasn't able to add a waypoint to the map.

That being said, this is a really nice hike. It would be great for out-of-towners, since the elevation gain is very managable. I don't know if it was the weather, or that it was Wednesday, but we ran into more bags of dog poop than people. Seriously folks, clean up after yourselves!

Hiked while it was snowing and the enchanted Forest sure did live up to it's name! The incline wasn't too bad at all. Cant wait to go back on a sunny day.

hiked it with my 8 and 10 yr old and they had no problem and a get time with the family

Nice steep incline to start and great views! Not crazy packed and met nice people along the way! I’ll be back because it’s only 27minutes from where I live in Denver!

Solid hike. Not much shade but great to hike near RRX.
Didn’t like having to cross street

Loved it! Cool mix of terrains. We got a little turned around but made it and it was really satisfying! Very open so wear sun shirt.

Amazing for the leaves. Pretty easy but not totally worth it. No great mountain views, just woods.

I arrived today at about 11:00am and the parking lot was nearly full. Today was bring your toddler day. This was my first time here. The first 1.5 miles is downhill if you're going counter-clockwise. Easy terrain. I ran Eagle's View in Conifer prior to coming here so the calves were already burning. I'm glad the elevation wasn't too intense.

Great trail! It’s very long and good for a full day of hiking. Definitely would rate moderate

I missed a turn and went up a draw on the far SW end and it was way too steep and technical for me to pedal. Had to take the bike for a walk for a while. Better navigation next time!

Weather was great for hiking and not too many people on the trail (it was a weekday after all). Trail is pretty dusty and I can see this getting muddy after some rainfall. Really wasn't much too see as there are not any viewpoints and you're walking through dense forest. We missed the sign that points to the falls 100 yards away. It was kind of easy to miss as it doesn't really face the trail very well. There were at least two other groups that had missed it also and we were all looking for it. After finding the falls, it was disappointing to see the dismal trickle of water coming down the rocks. I'd hardly classify it as "falls". All in all, it was an ok hike.

One of my favorite trails. Fast and easy to follow.

And afterwards I go to Cafe 13 in Golden for cinna-minis.

Easy hike cool that it’s close to red rocks can hear a little bit of music if something is going on there

Very Nice trail! Great inclines, beautiful scenery (not enchanting though), LOTS of bikers so watch out (they're all super nice & polite though). Loads of parking here & very clean restrooms. you have to hike through the "apex" trail to get to the "enchanted forest" trail just FYI.

Good hike. Easy to follow the trail. Decent incline. Fogged in this morning - would like to do it again on a clear day.

Good trail that’s not too difficult and well maintained. Nice short little hike.

This is a well-maintained, nice trail that’s easily accessible from Denver. It’s currently starting to transition into fall colors. We went on a Saturday morning and were pleasantly surprised by how few people we saw, especially on the non-Bergen Peak Trail side of the loop. As others have said, the listing underestimated the length - my AllTrails app clocked us at 10.8 miles round trip from the parking lot.

Great hike for my 4 young kiddos with someone along to help. For a good section of the trail- there is quite the drop off on one side. Makes for a few heart palpitations when the kids got too close. They loved watching all the rock climbers across the way.

Easy trail. With beautiful views of the red rocks. Passed a few mountain bikes and fellow hikers but overall not too busy for a Friday.
