great trail though be ready to get your butt kicked by it. compared to some other "hard" alltrails I've done, this one is VERY hard. otherwise awesome. I assume the difficulty keeps people away as i only saw 3 other humans in the 7 hours I was out there.

Amazing views, multiple peaks, and an easy to follow trail. Highly recommended.

Steep steps towards bottom. Down all the way in, up reverse. One of the nicest falls in NC. Well worth the hike

Excellent trail. We hiked after a rain and it was muddy in places, but the waterfall was well worth the wait.

Great trail. Lots of people though. Didn’t expect to be that crowded. Nice waterfall.

Awesome trail. Trails aren’t marked but easy to navigate and all trails was spot on. Did this hike after a few days of heavy rain. Art Loeb was wet but easy to avoid dunking your feet. Investor Gap was a creek as others reviewed. Felt longer than 3.9 miles, but maybe due to the extra steps over the rain runoff. A great variety of terrain and views were amazing; will do this again for sure.

Quick hike to see a waterfall off of the Blue Ridge Parkway! We did this hike in a slight rainfall and it was perfect weather! Falls were the best at that time too.

Plenty of parking available.
The trail was very well marked, and despite having rained earlier in the day, it wasn’t overly muddy or slick.
The falls were gorgeous! Definitely worth the hike to see. I strongly recommend hiking the full loop...there are beautiful views all along the way:) took less than 2 hours altogether, including time stopped to enjoy the breathtaking waterfall.

The Falls were beautiful and worth every step of the hike. If you have children be very careful as the lower 2/3 of the trail has very jagged rocks and exposed roots. Will definitely hike this trail again when we are in the area.

Definitely some sweat but didn’t think it was hard if you’re moderately in shape

Loved this hike. Was so worth the drive. Second half is a bit harder, but some really pretty viewpoints. Also some nice rock formations to see.

Great hike for exercise. I would wait for lake season to end to do it again. Did not like hiking through occupied campsites on lake. You hear lots of noise from cars, boats and jetskis.

The main trailhead is still closed so we parked between mile 301 & 302, overall it was a good hike with decent views at the top

beautiful trail would go again

Has a nice visitors center w/ a gift shop. Life size Lincoln logs area. Several picnic areas around the hike. Steep climb but has sturdy steps & structures to get you to the top of the waterfall

Two of the best trails in the park. Great views and challenging to some degree. Rewarding hike! Those steps are a bit of a workout!

Trailhead is closed but trail is open. Official Park detour is to park at Boulderstone lot between mm 302 and mm303. From there the hike is back along Tanahwa trail 2.5m to intercept Scout Trail (most of this is within earshot of parkway) so this way will tack on 5m to round trip. Met another hiker on way down who said shorter detour trail that starts from 221. Besides detour issue our hike on Scout Trail was nice cool work out for early July morning as we were in and out of clouds after 2m mark of trail. Had clouds at Callaway peak so limited views but still nice.

Fun hike. The waterfall portion gets a little crowded, but views are amazing. Did not run into anybody on the HQ portion.

This is a beautiful trail to an even more beautiful waterfall. Like everyone else has said, it is so much prettier than it appears in pictures. It was well worth the walk. Definitely take the rest of the loop back to the trailhead as the additional water access points are worth the extra effort.

Short hike to the falls. I’m used to really strenuous trails so this trail is very easy for anyone to do. The rocks are slippery so I would just be careful if your going to walk up close to the waterfall. Beautiful waterfall off of the blue ridge parkway.

good trail

Nice trail and great loop by lake and in woods. Only downside is litter by lake side of trail.

Such a beautiful waterfall!! Picture doesn't do it's justice! Bring a hammock that you can wrap up around trees and there is perfect set of trees to tie it up on right beside waterfall! More than relaxing and refreshing. Hike back up is incline and a great workout.

Very hard hike and the waterfall wasn’t amazing to me. But it was probably just because the time I went.

REGULAR ENTRANCE IS CLOSED! Amazing trail with views. Also has a downed plane a little off the beaten path. Can only be accessed between mile marker 301 and 302 then taking the Tanawa trail to the trailhead this adds an additional 2.8 miles to the trek so plan ahead.

Incredible trail with multiple waterfalls! Pretty easy hike.

Gorgeous right after a good rain! The trail was very natural, lots of rocks & logs, so be careful with your footing. Be prepared for the uphill hike on the way back. It was a lot on my dogs, they were completely give out & were wanting us the carry them before we made it back, so I probably wouldn’t take them on this hike again.

Beautiful views reward you after a pretty steep incline to the top of the summit. The trails at the top are not very well marked so have your AllTrails map out and ready. We accidentally took the art loeb trail back halfway before we realized we were headed the wrong direction. Still, despite incoming rain, we got gorgeous views and only a little bit wet. Will def come back here.
