Great short, high yield hike with beautiful view at top.

One of my favorites with good hills, but be sure to bring your water with you. Various parts of the trail offer no shade

Beautiful!

Love this easy hike but the windy road up to the parking area is narrow.. Saw a small rattle snake on the trail which we stepped around. The last little bit involves climbing rocks to the top of Historic Fremont Peak-views are worth it!!! General Jonn C. Fremont camped here with his men a long time ago...

NOT dog friendly! As with most if not all California State Parks, dogs are allowed only on paved parking areas and campgrounds. Not allowed on any trails.

Trail to the falls was not accessible at this time

FYI, lead up to jack’s peak is not incredibly well maintained. There’s a fallen tree you have to pass through. I believe I got poison oak / ivy on this trail. But still lovely.

Waterfalls path is closed. “Moderate” walk/hike is not worth the “view” at the top. You’ll see the best redwoods at the bottom.

SO BEAUT BEFORE SUNSET! So many mini trails here it’s fun to get lost

Went in summer so it was 90° hot and the waterfalls were quite lacking in water. Still overall pretty interesting hike.

Was there early September 2018 and there was no waterfall at the triple fall. It was all dried up. Overall, the hike was fairly easy.

We just completed this hike. It is accurately described as moderate. It came out to be 6 mikes, and we went at a leisurely pace. There are modest elevation changes. We were figged in so we can’t comment on views, but the pine forest trails are lovely, and quite wide in most places.

Decent trail with great view at the top. A few benches scattered near the top to sit and appreciate the view.

Decent hiking amazing views! You can easily sit up on top for hours!

Good hike, good amount of tree coverage except when you get closer to the peak, the ridge is exposed. Be careful climbing up the rocks. Views are amazing regardless if there is fog rolling in or not. Like the previous reviews.... Be careful for the poison oak.

Is only 4 miles hike, but steep. Very nice. Will be back springtime when the falls are fuller.

The walk took us a little over 1 hour. It's rather easy than moderate we think (and we're beginning hikers). The view at the top is not amazing, but overall we liked the hike.

The waterfall trail is absolutely gorgeous.

Multiple waterfalls, lots of shade, dog-friendly, easy loop, not crowded: what's not to like? No permit was required for hiking as this was after 6/30.

Great hike for 45 min.

It was a great hike with a lot of incline! The scenery is amazing once you get on top of the hill. The only down side is there are no restrooms around!! Other than that it was a well worth it hike and would defiantly hike it again!!

Really hot! The trail at the very top of the ridge is barely maintained, it really wasn’t visible in all the brush. But the views are spectacular all along the way.

Nice hike, wouldn't recommend for families with small children. Lots of folks hiked and had a picnic in a quiet place wish I had taken some food to sit, enjoy the view, and eat. Do this as a first hike if needed in morning. It will warm you up for the day.

No signs on trail. Family & dog friendly.

a gorgeous hike that is easy enough for little kids.

This was a really great hike for our family. We took our 10 year old twins and we all got a great workout and everyone was able to stay at the same pace. There are several loops that connect so you can really hike for as long (or short) as you want. Some great inclines, we saw some butterflies, birds, a garter snake (they are not harmful), tons of Spanish moss, lots of wildflowers, and even some fossils!

It's a blast!

Not easy...definitely a moderate trail due to some inclines that extend for quite some time...otherwise a fantastic trail loop! Something for everyone and all levels.

Good little loop. Well marked. Good amounts of up and down hill. Great work out.
