The hike was very horizontal and not suitable for any temperature other than a morning climate. Overall, though, the sights were breathtaking, and it was definitely worth my time.

Trail started off kinda boring, but once you get up to the boulders that you have to scramble up and get up the rope ladder, the trail was awesome. We hiked all the way to the stream up top. Great hike, very surprised. We ended up going over 1 mike further than where the trail map ended.

Excellent trail if you’re just starting back hiking. Lovely views and plenty of shade spots. Good for dogs as well. Would definitely do this again!

Great trail

We loved the hike. Its fairly easy and not too strenuous. Plenty of shade and the canyon is wonderful. the walk back has great canyon views.

uphill climb. Pretty views. Great way to get out of the city. We did this hike with a 6 year old and she did well.

Easy walk in the woods until it hits the canyon and gets narrow. From there it's difficult to discern between the stream bed and the trail. It's been dry these past few years so the stream bed seems to have been the route most have taken and the trail itself is a bit disused. At the end of the trail you can continue up the stream until you get to some short vertical climbs. From there it's a scramble up some rocks to continue upstream. Payoff are some wonderful canyon views at the end and then all the way back.

Very nice and relaxing walk. Fairly well used and easy to manage. Great entry or training hike, just speed up your pace to add difficulty. The Eagle's Nest loop is off this trail and can be used to add some distance if you find this hike to be too short.

Great hike for a walk in the woods and a wonderful hike for the family with kids because the area is confined and there are no big drop offs to wander over.

This is one of my favorite trails when I want to get in a short hike.

Great trail. There are a bunch of options along the way to make the hike harder. Pays off at the end with a beautiful canyon walk.

Nice hike for a beginner. shaded, lots of plants and lovely butterflies around the water areas. There is a trickling waterfall and pool of water at the end.

Easy trail with a slight incline going up. Lots of shade, and pretty views. Trail isn’t necessarily marked, so make sure to pay attention or stay on path.

Fun little loop. Nice views of the valley. Lots of sun along the trail. Worth it for an easy stroll outside.

Great little getaway from Vegas in Vegas! Lots of wildlife and some occasional shade and water to look at but mostly a super sunny walk. Pretty scenery and views 75% of the time, other 25% is burnt.

Probably would have been more enjoyable had I not been ambushed by a swarm of homeless people and if everywhere I looked there weren’t broken glass bottles and trash on the ground. A lot of the trail has been burnt so it’s mostly dead bushes but the water was cool to see. There was also lots of wildlife on this trail. Started out as a morning walk and turned into a morning run because of how unsafe I felt there and wanted to get out ASAP.

Rated easy just keep in mind it is a constant climb but pays off in the end with cool breezes and great scenery

We went on this trail yesterday close to 4pm. It was just the right length for my 10yr old and 6 yr old. We also brought along our 2 yr old. She was in the carrier on the way and walked the way back without much difficulty. Lots of shade. The kids really enjoyed the hike but were a little disappointed/ underwhelmed with the waterfall but we’re happy we could sit and have a snack by it before heading back to the car. We also picked up some of the trash but on one wanted to pick up the mangled diaper :-[ the older kids wanted to do another hike when it’s was done so it didn’t completely exhaust them.

Great hike. We saw a lot of butterflies and lizards. It took us about 1 hour 20 min one way to hike to the end of the narrow canyon where the “slide” was. We were hiking at a leisurely pace and taking pictures along the way. Be careful as the rocks are very slippery along this hike.

This is a gem! Spring is the best time to visit as the falls are active and beautiful pools welcome tired tootsies. Early AM I found to be perfect for this trail. We returned a few weeks ago and the falls were but a trickle and the pools had dried.

I love this trail. Each weekend has welcomed a new scene with blooms, butterflies and birds. Plenty of shade to dip off the trail for a nap, a snack or just to ponder.

Neat short hike. gradually climbs up. Easy hike back. once you get in the canyon it's about 15-20 degrees cooler than Vegas temp.

great hike for beginners.

The scenery surrounding the hike was amazing on its own. Slight incline most of the way, nothing to worry about. The rock canyon at the end features some amazing butterflies and, if you like, you can continue past the “end destination” where the canyon opens back up. “Easy” hike, but you can choose to make it more difficult.

Awesome short trail with a steady incline. To get to the trail, park in the upper parking lot and just follow the unmarked trail at the end that runs parallel to the road. As others have posted, the waterfall area is covered in graffiti. There are plenty of flowers on the way though and today threre are DOZENS of Spring Mountains Icarioides Blue. I thought they were the Mt. Charleston Blue, but realized they weren't after taking a closer look at my pictures. I saw more than a few Western Tiger Swallowtail and Carole's Silverspot, and one Nevada Admiral.

It was a great short hike uphill, not too bad. For someone out of shape like me it’s a decent workout. But for those used to hiking and in good shape, this is an easy hike/walk. It’s so nice to walk through the trees and smell the pine. Lots of butterflies on the trail, especially closer to the water. There’s a great little waterfall at the end. Too bad there was graffiti galore on the canyon walls by the waterfall. Otherwise, very nice.

Great trail for mountain biking and getting lost in the desert. Take plenty of water and snacks. Trust me you could easily get lost. But thankfully I did, saw some beautiful scenery with a great view of the strip.

Good trial just a little hard to find the start. Took about 2.5 hrs with my 4 yr old and 2 yr old. They had a hard time on the incline over the smooth rocks. So they piggy back rode to the end of the trial. Stinks about the graffiti and trash. One thing that redeemed the experience is we ran into deer foraging and pairs of hummingbirds flying over head.
Good for older kids; unless using a carrier for younger ones.

Easy and the bridge is great

Beautiful slow grade climb through the woods, and then the last .2 miles is a steeper incline into an AMAZING rock canyon! KEEP GOING - it gets more and more amazing the further up you go! My dog and I went at least another .5 mile past the official end of the trail up the dry wash bed!
