Long trail, but overall very nice and secluded. Signs can get confusing. Lots of different environments that you get to experience and walk through. A few pretty waterfalls. My pup and I take a nice nap after this trail. I uploaded a photo that is either at the beginning or the end depending on where you start.

This one quickly jumped to the top of our favorites list. We loved that within a few minutes of being out of the car we were already exploring caves. Really great trail!

Nice easy trail that took 2 hours leisurely walk.
Only seen one other hiker and unfortunately a group of loud mouth cross fitters I could hear coming a mile away chasing away any wildlife that was to be seen.

Nice easy trail.

If you get to the meadow, you’ve gotten off trail. I saw another review that said once you get to the meadow it gets confusing/is no signage. I made the same mistake while talking and hiking, just flying through.

Great trail. Short and an easy loop, but the inclines are nice and the few rock ledges are great for taking a rest and looking over the gorge. I take pups there AFTER we’ve gone for relatively long hike to cool off.

great trail and fun place to explore.

Great trail that changes scenery pretty often. Would recommend going counter clockwise when you get to the loop about .5 miles or so from the trailhead.

Clean, beautiful trail. Perfect in the fall.

Beautiful. One of my favorites. Offers a little bit of everything. Good elevation changes, stream crossings, etc

Recommend going after some rain! Falls were impressive after 3 days of rain. Large parking area and bathrooms at trail head.

Quick and easy hike with great scenery.

One of my favorites. Lots of good elevation changes.

What a surprise to find this gem. One of my new favorites I will be going go back to.
Went back a week later with dog and he did get a tick...but this is nature.

I hike here all the time and am a huge fan! Generally not crowded, 2 options (full and half loops), goes through woods, creeks and meadows, have seen lots of wildlife (hawks, deer, snakes, bunnies, small lizards), plenty of trees to hang a hammock near the path, and an archery range close by. Does get muddy and slippery after rain though. The full trail goes through a cool pine tree grove planted (if I remember correctly) by a girl scout troop.

beautiful views and good workout

a great workout

Very good hike, the only thing is the trail is confusing once you get to hale farm, you have to turn left and go down the road. The trail is dangerous once you hit the road part so be careful.

Intense trail! Lots of hills and can be a bit muddy. Definently a workout. I started at the top of kendall hills and made my way down to the loop which is 3.15 miles. Tends to line the road a bit but the road isn't very busy. Recommend if you want a workout. Took me and my dog about an hour walking at a moderate pace. There is also a short cut to make it a bit shorter.

Just discovered this trail yesterday after work. This has to be one of the best kept secrets in the park. Very well maintained trail. Beautiful scenery. I loved taking a walk down the Hemlock ridge ravine. This is one of my new top 10 running trails. I will definitely be back with friends.

Loved this trail! Some nice ups and downs, great mushrooms along trail, several easy water crossings (water level average; imagine heavy rains could render crossing stones underwater), plenty of shade.

constant elevation change and a variety of terrain

Perfect weather today for the start of Fall! Knocked out 5.2 miles in 1 hour 28 minutes hiking. Met an awesome couple on Hemlock Ridge. One of my Top 10 favorite trails in the area.

Good workout! Lots of great incline.
