CKA To Do Map

My friends and I enjoyed the hike, but the waterfalls are a little lackluster if it hasn’t rained for a while. The best part was the excursion to the bottom of the gorge - definitely the most strenuous mile (round trip), but so worth it!

We went to the end of the dirt road to park my car then loaded up into the truck and went down the “primitive road” The trail was great! The last little bit is a little difficult but my 3 year old son did most of this hike.

Very, very, very. Hot! No shade at all! Much better in perfect weather.

Great somewhat easy to moderate trail with a nice incline. Be safe during wet weather as rocks are slippery.

Took my son and dog for an afternoon trip. Easy trail and safe. Beautiful views.

Good hike, if you start the west loop going to the left it’s a steeper climb , the right side its an gradual elevation. Regardless good either side.

Not the most scenic route until you get to the end but good exercise. Overall I think it rates easy but there are a few elevation changes that are some work. I did it in under three hours with a 20 minute lunch break and some water/picture breaks. I would recommend having a walking stick or grabbing one from the trail, mine saved me from walking through at least three banana spider webs! Much of the first mile is a sandy creek bed so be aware it’ll be wet, especially after it rains.

This our trial run to get our packs adjusted before starting on the Application trail. we have been going here for many years, and love it

Love both Falls. Easy hike. It’s less crowded to go in the winter but anytime is beautiful

This trail might be nice if you your significant other are looking for a nice outing or for a family but it's not worth traveling over an hour to experience. the view at the Lookouts is pretty nice, but not amazing in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend going to this Trail unless you were going to do some other hiking at the park that same day.

4th time out here this year. The canyon walls are gorge-ous.

Not a difficult walk down to the bottom of the canyon, from there on it’s pretty flat and a lot of fun to explore!

An awesome trail! Put my 2 yo in the Tula, 5 year old walked. Was a little bit too much for 5 year old. As we got closer to the end on the way back, she got whiney from being tired. Tons of places to stop and rest. One of my fav hikes ever!

This loop is 1.5 miles long. Is connected from the Stoneplace Trail. It's skinny, rooted, not well maintained with some sections a little wider. I wouldn't waste my time riding it again. There were no views of the gorge from the trail. Enjoy the gnats.

We love this loop. Beautiful area year round. Great for running as well.

The waterfalls are so awesome. Worth the drive out to see them!

I was disappointed to learn that in this “river walk” you don’t actually walk along the river. I know the river is there but there is no view of the river. It was a good flat trail with well cared for trees, which is nice, but not what the name implied.

A well-marked moderate trail. Will cross 2 small streams on the way to the falls. Beach area provides a place for those who want to take a dip. Recommend bug spray. Beautiful views with roaring falls.

Nice trail, beautiful summit. Be careful of snakes, I stepped on a garter snake.

The sweet lady at the ranger station informed me that I would take over 4 hours to do this trail. I absolutely surprised her when I was done in 2.5 but I did also hike the trail backwards. even on a dry day it will be super wet and certain areas. you actually end up walking in part of a very shallow creek. it was very enjoyable majority of it is wooded but for about 1 mile is very scenic.

great place to go and spend some time exploring the canyon.

We are beginners and had a rough hike up... it’s pretty steep in some places, but once we got to the top it was definitely worth it... great view, a nice place to chill and catch your breath and take some pics... the hike down is quick and easy and we sometimes caught ourself in a little run because of the steepness of it... but it was a really good time, this weather was amazing, go now!

Nice workout

Awesome place to fish or primitive camp! Don’t be sacred if you have an AWD or 4WD go as far as you can. Cool place, will definitely go back, take the dogs, fishing pole and maybe a tent and a grill.

About 25 minutes from downtown Dahlonega.

Very pretty and enjoyable hike.

not a walking trail at all you. you drive

The trail was ROUGH, but totally worth the effort. Took three dogs, they struggled in certain areas, but had a blast. If you’ve been to Cummins the trail is harder, I thought this trail was closer to strenuous than moderate because it’s really rocky.

Very challenging and love the hike
