Very tough but good feeling afterwards!

It was basically straight up to the peak. It's a tough trail especially if you are used to some flat spots. Otherwise, I enjoyed it! Probably a mistake to hike it at 100 degrees in the middle of the day.

did this trail this morning kiks my butt every time!but its a great hike!

I call this trail the stair stepper..my absolute favorite. go to the tip top!

easy going trails for beginners.
love that its soo local but the parking lot gets full at peak hours.

My first official hike. My goodness, it’s was difficult but determined to make it to the top, plugged along. Great views from the top and along the way too. Very jagged rocks to climb from bottom to top. Almost slipped twice which could have been very bad indeed. One large bottle of water was sufficient for me but would encourage more. Gotta have good knees to make it down safely too.

Short, but steep hike...good workout, and great views throughout...not advised for children as part of the hike needs to step on lots of small rocks that are on the path...have to be extra careful when coming down..

Nice easy afternoon hike

Hard! Imagine being on the stair master on high incline for 60 min.
Amazing views. Very busy tho so get there early. Big accomplishment! Will def do it again

love it.

Super quick hike/walk. Keep going until you reach the top with views over the city. I almost stopped, thinking I was at the end, but thankfully kept going up.

Went on a Sunday around 6am and it was quite busy. As a person who enjoys hiking for the relative solitude, that diminished my enjoyment a little. The hike itself was good - well-marked, short but uphill on rocks, and a wonderful 360 degree view at the top.

Incredible hike with great views throughout. A little crowded but worth it

Great hike if you want to beat the crowd at Squaw Peak summit trail.

Great beginner hike if you're getting into hiking.

Challenging trail. I loved it.

Really cool view of all the city lights at night. There are lots of people in the evening still but make sure you bring a flashlight!

Easy hike? I’m not sure

Great running trail. Plenty of moderate ups and downs to get good workout. I've been using this trail, among others in the area, for 35 years.

Quite steep the whole way, a very excellent hike for a good leg workout, plus the views are amazing the entire way up. I stopped every 50 feet and turned around to look over the northern suburbs. The view at the top is absolutely awesome, there arent many trails that get you this high up in such a short distance!

Good hike with lots of nature to take in. Beautiful views at the top! As a visitor to Arizona, I found this to be a perfect hiking trail! Went early in the morning to beat the heat and got to take in a sunrise at the top.

Love this hike... pushes you! In training for R2R next month! great workout!

I made it half way up on my first try and they aren't joking when they say Steep and Bring Gallons of water but the view even from halfway up is stunning

It’s a great hike, you really do get a full work out. When I first read the comments and the level of difficulty, I was skeptical but man was I wrong! It’s hard and not for beginners. Make sure to bring plenty of water and good shoes. The view is extremely rewarding. People here are super nice, this guy greeted me with cheers as I reached the top and others motivate you as you hike up. There’s a lot of stairs and I mean a lot but you can do it!!

The only drawback to the peaks of North Mountain Park are the towers and clusters of communication apparatus. Lots and lots of people on these trails.

It is a nice hike it keeps you working until the end as it is steep all the way up. You can view the entire valley from the top. Be prepared for crowds and minimal parking spots.

Great work out. Amazing environment! Friendly fellow hikers!

It may be perfect for kids but I was there at 545am and it looked like a shopping mall. Phoenix has lots of other locations unless you have kids go there.

Was a little skeptical at first because of the footing, but you get used to it. Great workout and view of the city is nice also

Good workout. Nice views of the city.
