I like this trail, not really easy but I love climbing. The view was nice, too.

This trail is a hike. It a good incline to the top. But the views no picture can capture, you have to see for yourself. If you reach the top you can see all the way to the ocean! You also pass the 88/Nike Missile site from the Cold War. You will see cows and steer off the trail. As you get off the freeway and make your way there do not be deterred from the signs that say private bridge or area your are going to a public park your ok just take the road to the end ( it ends at the park ) there is a $5.00 fee but worth it.... enjoy

fantastic challenge and scenery. good amount of wildlife and bouldering fun.

Great views after a tough hike.

Dog owners don't pickup after their dogs. There is homeless encampment within the park. Coyotes occasionally seen roaming the area.

beautiful night hike! 1.8 mile hike. Once reaching the cave and you make it to the top! its all worth it. I love this hike. Beware of Rattle Snakes. I saw two, one under the rocks and the other on the cave. I'll post pictures. Be sure to follow me on I.g skyhighhiking

I remember I went there few years ago by spot at this area. It was nice and pretty long trails 

Loved this trail but I guess I didn’t make it to the end so next time I’ll come back with hubby so we both finish it love it will be coming back ❤️

Great hike. For beginners it will be challenging. Uphill mostly. Might be challenging for small kids. Great hike for moderate hikers. Great practice for backpacking.

A quick hike and good for families and kids. Even kids around 3 or 4 can also walk most of it. Has some shade along the way. Try and avoid windy and hot days. Most of the time hikers leave they dogs off the leash so watch for it when going with young kids.

Nice trail for 80+ degree weather! Shaded and very scenic. Only went 2.5 miles given timeframe after work and daylight. Definitely want to go back!

Great trail, it did get a bit confusing at times with following the path but with a little bit of exploring I found some red arrows painted on the rock floor, did this hike in about 80° weather and on my own, felt safe and it was pretty enjoyable to see how the path follows on rock for a bit.

nice trail. easy walk.. will come back next time for a run.

Nice 9 mile loop. I started on Las Llajas and ended with the Chumash Trail. Las Llajas is a smooth fire road while Chumash is a technical single track so plenty of variety plus great views.

First time hiking or doing anything physical in a really long time. Entered the trail at Larwin close to Chatsworth Park South. Followed the paved path till it ended and continued on the unpaved trail beyond it ... I wandered on a different trail by accident and found myself in a much rougher and steeper hike.... turned right instead of left after coming to a fork beyond the end of the paved path... There was still a trail but it was significantly tougher toward the top close to Lilac... Was worth it though and was proud of myself when I finally got to the sign. Now that I know where I turned wrong the next time should be much smoother! And btw... It’s still spring so watch that poison oak!

I love the rivers ! Beautiful scenery too I was really impressed with this trail with the easy access and location yet I felt like I was away in a forrest somewhere else.

To be fair, I wasn’t able to actually run the trail, so the score is for the views alone. And minus points for not being able to actually run it. The guard posted near the parking said there was filming going on ahead, and that SWAT was doing drills as well. But the views were amazing...There’s a lot of new construction going on just north of the 118. I didn’t see anywhere to pull off on the side of the road and park either, like the reviews state.
And parking is $5.
Would like to return and explore the area. Just have to remember my 5 bucks.

Trail runs along a creek, best seen in the winter. Many open and shady areas.

Great hike & workout. Uphill the entire way; there’s an “easy” trail and a “hard” one. Great time to see wild flowers and beautiful views of the valley, Santa Monica Mountains, and far off in the distance downtown LA.

The last hill is very steep, but not long. Excellent views.

Nice hike, bring plenty of water and sun screen.

nice hike,Spring is great, because everything is green. made to the caves and to Castle peak.moderate.

Go in the spring, when everything is still nice and green. made it to the caves and castle peak.moderate, bring sun screen and plenty of water.moderate.
