This trail it's self is nothing to talk about, but the falls are decent.

Loved this trail!! I would say it’s an easy hike with sections of moderate. Mostly a steady grade except as you first leave the falls area! I traveled from the Cleveland area, GPS directed a different route going the falls than when I left. Take Hwy 64 route to access pull off areas with fantastic views.

Great trail!

Great trail! Even in the snow!

Great hike

This was great trail with a couple of variations for length. Like others said, it seems to be minimally tended to so there are areas with trees down and a few spots you have to climb or traverse. Our 70 lb boxer was able to handle it well. The stairs at the beginning might be the hardest parts with really uneven step gaps.

The waterfall is worth the short (but steep) off trail venture. Absolutely stunning.

Views are outstanding right at the beginning.

Easy, flat, wide trail to a beautiful waterfall that is worth the trip. Just some rock steps to get down to the falls at the end. Great for families and very heavily trafficked, so expect the trail to be crowded with rambunctious children and dogs. Looking for a quieter experience? The Chilhowee trail system has multiple routes that will get you to the falls, so if you are an experienced hiker looking for a quieter journey, take one of the longer, more challenging routes, like Slick Rock or Clemmer.

Fun trail. There can be a creek crossing after a decent rain.

Nice hike and covered in Poison Ivy and a snake den under a rock by path! Beautiful hike!

Fun and short for a 4 & 6 yr old.

Wonderful trail. Howecer, one way was a little too much for a 4 & 6 year old, so once we made it down to Craven's we had a Lyft driver bail us out and drive us back up to Point Park.

Nice hike to attractive 65 foot waterfall. Marked with blue i-shaped paint blazes. Mostly flat and easy on wide trail until you reach the stone steps down to the base of the falls at the very end. Go after a good rain for best waterfall viewing. Overall, best short hike at Chilhowee Recreation Area.

A great easy walk. There was enough water over the falls to make it beautiful.

This was a great trail for taking my 4 yr. old and 8 yr. old kids.

Lovely trail.

This is one of my favorite hiking trails. Especially when you make it down to Rainbow Falls ;)

Poison Ivy was overwhelming. The trail is overgrown in several spots. Trail surface is excellent. Waterfalls with bridge and a rock staircase with hidden stone door. Really cool. A great little swimming hole too.

Nice hike, but TONS of poison ivy. Needs to be removed.

It’s a pretty easy hike. Beautiful, but lots of hidden roots and rocks from erosion popping up. It’s easy to twist an ankle or trip. Just look down as you go.

I'll be back to search for a safe path down to the elusive Rainbow Falls.

Great hike to take family and friends. Easy, short, and very photogenic falls at the end. You can actually walk into the base of the falls to sit and stand while they wash over you.

Nice hike. Amazing views of the water. plenty of places to go for a dip.

The reviews were a little misleading to me. It is rated Easy, and I/we would not. There were a lot of rocks to climb/descend especially near the falls. In my opinion this was harder than easy and would be more in line with moderate. Benton falls was way easier.

This is a very scenic hike! Multiple water falls and rock formations. not sure where they are getting the 2 miles from. this hike is 1 mile out and back from the road. Easy for all levels.

Loved it! The falls were beautiful!

Great hike. Lots to see.

All of the reviews were very helpful. The entire trail is easy until you get to the falls. When you turn left at the falls sign, the last 100 yards is descending down stairs and a slippery root filled trail. This was an excellent first hike in Tennessee.

awesome hike some downed trees due to storm and higher river water but it is ok to cross in order to continue to the trail up to the waterfall where we were able to jump off a few times and swim under the sun. just beautiful . easy even with dogs and an 8 year old.

Cravens House is a cool historic sight to see. Trail was great, awesome views! I went with some friends that rock climb- definitely good for that!
