Easy, fantastic views, neat biological soil communities along the way. Even after sunrise, Mesa Arch is breathtaking.

This is a beautiful Trail! The view the whole time on the Trail is Amazing! My mother in law did this hike and she’s 70 years old. She loved this hike!

Really fun short hike!

Great views !

Wow !!

Great views. Best to go early in the morning. Hardly anyone was there and the morning sun lights the arch like a ribbon of orange.

Great extended views

Beautiful views from on top of the butte

Great views, but overran with tourist.. still really neat though!

Great place to go first for a lovely view with a short walk to the payoff. It is crowded, so if you go there first, other places look serene in comparison.

Very easy for some great views. Make sure you hike to the end to see the canyons on your right!

Beautiful view through the arch. However, it is so crowded that you will have a hard time getting pictures!

Very cool hike, but it was easy for us to get off trail. Pretty steep if you go to the second overlook, but it is do-able.

We saw four people the entire time. Amazing view! Challenging hike for kids (we had a 6 and 9 year old) but they felt great after they accomplished it.

Easy peasy hike. Hardest part is avoiding the other tourists.

Awesome view!

Sweet nice and short

absolutely incredible! one of my favorite hikes. Make sure to take a GPS or have this downloaded onto your phone.. very hard to find the trail and stay on it! also a helpful tip, every 50 feet or so there are stacked rocks to mark the trail

Fun little hike...lots of walking on sandstone. Wouldn’t do it again...but cool to see once.

Quick hike, good for all skill levels and nearly all abilities (though ground is not flat)! View is incredible!

Took a guided hike with a park ranger. He explained the historic significance of the site, and the NPS efforts to preserve it. Please be respectful while at False Kiva and stay off the structures. The walk up is quite strenuous, on eroding thin switchbacks going up and down, but views and shade at False Kiva are beyond worth the trek. Highly recommend, with caution! Hike is unmarked, and could easily be lost.

Scroll down in the reviews for advice on locating the trail head, once found it’s a very well marked trail and not as scary as it’s made out to be whatsoever. Absolutely stunning views!

Stunning and a must visit. I did this today. Arrived in the parking lot at 6:30 for a 6:50 sunrise, with plenty of time to spare. The walk to the arch is only 10 minutes. There were about 6 other people there. If going in the winter, bring gloves and warm layers! It was 30 degrees this morning and even with gloves, my fingers were numb by the end of it. This is well worth the visit and braving the cold for beautiful views and photos.

What can I say but wow. Went by myself so didn’t stay for sunset. Got a great corona of sun as setting below roof of kiva. Moderate scrambling. Views are other worldly. Lots of payback for the effort!
