This may be the best hike I've ever completed. We started around 6:30pm, NOT RECOMMENDED. We encountered 4 other hikers that were completely lost at sunset. 2 of the were attempting to hike clockwise without headlamps or any source of light. This is extremely dangerous and they very well may have not made it out. I believe this trail should be rated as Difficult. I am glad we did not encourage our whole group to try. At a certain point after Landscape Arch, there is no going back. To many narrow ridge walks and steep/slipper slopes to make the return harrowing.

That being said, start early or equip yourself with enough water and light to make it through the entire hike. The second half of the primitive trail is not marked well and you will encounter wildlife. Passed several deer on the way out. They certainly watched us closely. Can't wait to do this hike again. This is the flagship hike of Arches Park. You will not be disappointed.

A nice walk with your family. Anyone can do this trek.

Start right before sunrise for a spectacular view!

Remember to take your picture, and let other people have their turns :)

If you decide to continue on Primitive Loop the cairns can be hard to find so always be cognitive of the direction you’re headed in. You will have to create your own path in certain areas. Amazing hike though!

Everyone’s favorite for a reason. Delicate never disappoints! Such a beauty! Please take plenty of water.

We took the advice of others and did it counter-clockwise and started around 8am. I highly recommend this. Great hike to see multiple arches. There are some slick rocks that were tricky but not impossible.

Fantastic hike would highly recommend. A walk with stunning views all day. Trail was well marked with cairns and signposts. Would definitely advise to do the loop counter clockwise as the last part of the loop is more enjoyable. Great lunch spot at the joint trail head. Just heed the advice of others and take plenty of water.

Great hike. Lots of variety of arches. Lots of slickrock.

Go early. Do it COUNTER-clockwise.

The short hike is suited for just about all ages and abilities. Very crowded (parking lot full) at sunrise but less crowded by mid-morning. I recommend going later in the morning because you can still get some great photos of the canyon through the arch without the crowds!

there are other trails at the fork in the beginning that are worth doing as well, this was an amazing arch to see in person even at dusk, wanted to continue but the daylight gave out, will definitely do again to trek further

easy trail, but the views were amazing, get a nice 360 view from the top of the rock at the end

definitely a must do trail at arches, steep rock incline at one point but short, worth it at the end, go early went at sunrise coming down there was a flock of people coming up, petroglyphs are near the beginning of the trailhead

Amazing trail, but strenuous. Saw many people with flip flops and unprepared for the hike. The hike is difficult but so worth it. Take breaks and drink water . A Bucket list must do

Awesome for sunrise pics! It does get quite crowded with photographers so make sure you get there early to get a good spot viewing the arch and canyon below.

Absolutely amazing! This was without a doubt the best hike in Arches, totally worth it!

Gorgeous hike at Arches! We got to the trailhead around 7am and it was pretty packed, but definitely plenty of parking. There’s a giant rock to climb up so the elevation gain can be a kicker but it’s worth it. Great photo opportunity at the end but there will be tons of people in your pictures!

Didn’t get the chance to hike the whole loop since it was too late in the day, but what we did get to was beautiful. It’s located close to the campground where we stayed which was nice. It was well marked and had a gorgeous sunset.

this is by far the best way to see delicate arch. well worth the moderate effort to see. great for sunset photos, but bring a flashlight or headlamp for the hike out, the trail nearest delicate arch is over rock and can be difficult to follow back in the dark

Amazing hike with some absolutely stunning views of canyons/arches. So many contrasting colors. Bring lots of water as it’s hot and dry. Some technical spots that only those with proper shoes and fitness should attempt.

This hike is very popular, so be ready for lots of people to be around. It was stunning and well worth the climb. Bring hiking boots for the climb because a significant portion of the hike is on a semi-smooth rock face. If you are afraid of heights, there is a stretch at the end of the outward portion right before the arch that has a drop on one side and a wall on the other, but it is a fairly wide path enough for at least two people walking side by side and it is a pretty short distance. The view at the top is amazing.

Great hike that is challenging but doable. As previously noted...start early. We started at 6:15 am and there was already a group at the first Arch. The number of people thinned out quickly after that as the trail picks up from a nice stroll to a bit of scrambling. We did it clockwise and finished in 4.5 hrs. We are both 67.

Got to the Arch at 7am on Labor Day and around 40 people were already there. Nice hike to visit this iconic arch.

What a great hike for a couple of 60 year olds! Went to Double O then turned back, and was not disappointed! Don’t skip Partition and Navajo. Some scrambling, hiking atop a fin (not for those with a fear of heights!), and opportunities to go down on all fives. Lol. Great experience for confidence building. Yes, I can do this!

Amazing hike! It was fun to see each of the unique arches and we finished the hike with the Primitive trail. Definitely start early and bring plenty of water (more than you would think). We didn’t find the side trail to the Dark Angel worth it with the heat. The primitive trail is a very unique trail climbing up and around large rocks, it kept us on our toes looking for the cairns.

Tougher hike than we expected. It was super windy when we hiked it and when we got to the arch we felt like we were going to blow over. This hike is an absolute MUST when visiting Arches NP!

Easy and short hike to an arch. Not overly crowded.
