Best views in Jasper. 360 of all the mountains ranges around Jasper, all the way to Robson.

Snow adds tine and difficulty. The scramble is large boulders all the way to the summit. With fresh snow not packed between you can easily slip between. Go slow it's worth

Hike to the basin. Totally worth it.

Gave it a 3 because it was so snowy/cloudy/foggy that we couldn’t even see the water. Trail was snow/ice covered and very slippery. Definitely not worth the drive when it is snowing as the roads were snow covered with sheer drop offs with very few guard rails. People were driving with their flashers on and cars/buses were backed up (ie, at a stand still) trying to get up the mountain road. Cars were turning around to go back to Banff on a very narrow mountain road with curves and very limited visibility. We made it to The Crossing, spent the night, and with more snow being forecasted decided not to continue onto Jasper, but to go back to Banff. Disappointing.

Super awesome view for a fairly easy hike. Some steep areas but worth it. Definitely going to do this hike next time I’m in town! Lots of horse poop so keep a look out!

Came up from Texas, hiked this in late September, very wet. We did the trail straight to peak 2. Excellent hike, lots of stair climbing, both wood and placed rock. Up to the last bit towards peak 2 it's simple, but a heavy leg workout. The top bit of the trail just before peak 2 starts having some tighter squeezes and chains to help you up steep inclines, and then there's a switchback. We had to stop there because of the wet and some of our party didn't have shoes that could handle it. Disappointing, but we'll be back in a couple months to beat it!

Going down to the falls is a bit tricky, good thing there was a recording by one of the member! THANK YOU Kay! Saved us from getting lost lol! Dipped my feet in the waters and it was freezing cold. But 2 men skinny dip! Lol absolutely gorgeous view at the bottom of the falls

Really great trail! Parking lot is small so we had to park on side of the road but wasn’t too far. I took my 7 and 4 year old kids with me. We didn’t do the uphill part, but we did the trail that takes you all around the lake. It was 7.5 km and took us 2 hrs with stops for the kids to play by the lake, which you could do at 3 or 4 spots where the trail levels out to the lake. Easy walk, no major steep sections. Muddy in some parts, for sure. Lots of great views. Many people come to get a glimpse of the lake but few do the trail, making it relatively quiet along the way. Highly recommended.

Beautiful view! Saw the fox outline and mountains surrounding it so clearly. 12/10 would recommend.

The crowd is worth dealing with to see the many beautiful falls on this lovely trail. Hope to go again and be able to go all the way to the ink pots

Definitely not a hike, rather a walk to a view point of Morraine Lake. Great views from the top of the lake and surrounding mountains (though we went today 9/13 and there was heavy snow and limited visibility so the view was very obstructed). Parking is extremely limited and unless you get there early will need to park elsewhere and take a shuttle (for a fee I believe) or be part of a tour group. The one huge drawback (other than lack of parking) is the large number of tour groups that show up and inundate the trail and view points. To me really takes away from the beauty of the place when are trying to enjoy it and people are jostling to get past you to take their millions of selfies. It seems that many would rather take pictures of themselves there then taking in the beauty of it all.

Good, but too full

It’s a work out for this hike as it’s a 2000 ft continuous rise, leading to spectacular views of Squamish town and Howe Sound, take snacks or lunch so you can relax and enjoy the views.

Amazing trail!

A short walk on a paved path to a great view of the tall, spectacular falls. Crowded parking lot and walkway.

The falls are incredible. The walkway gets very close to the falls at several places. Powerful and loud. The walk itself is on a paved path with several stairs. Very close to the road, very easy to get to.

The view from the top is of course spectacular, but this is not a hike. Just a short climb up a series of rock staircases.

The most beautiful hike!

Beautiful scenic ocean views, gorgeous huge trees and mossy forest. I loved it here and look forward to going back! Well behaved dogs are allowed to be off leash which is fantastic. It's steep in some parts but really well maintained.

Great trail best hike for training ! Good physical and mental workout ! Work on your cardio before you go for a first time . The trail will
Humble you !

As many will say best time to go is early or late. We arrived at the parking lot at 9 AM on a Tuesday in Sept and the lot was only 1/3 full. By the time we got back to our car at 11 (after going to the upper falls) both the primary and secondary lots were completely full. The trail itself is a paved trail with may catwalks all the way to the upper falls, but still interesting with great views all the way up. Make sure to take your time to enjoy the views and don't get stressed by all the people and go into it realizing you will need to wait at some of the best viewpoints to get your videos and pictures while others take theirs. Not a technically challenging hike at all, but round trip is about 3.4 miles with a solid elevation gain so make sure you have comfortable shoes on (many wore sneakers). Definitely glad we did, but not one I'd be anxious to do again mainly because of the crowds.

Great trail with very rewarding views! Took us 3.5 hours with lots of stops for pictures and a short break at the top.

Easy! Go earliest you can or late evening to avoid the crowds. Tour buses give only enough time to make it to the lower falls so upper is even less trafficked. It’s beautiful and worth seeing but I prefer less crowded and a little more challenging.

This is the most difficult hike I have done to date. Would I do it again? Heck yes! Slow and steady will reward you with stunning views. It took me (I would consider myself in good shape but not a hiking pro) two hours to reach the top, where I sat and ate my lunch that I had brought up with me. In totally I spent about 4 hours conquering the sulphur skyline and rewarded myself with a soak in the hot springs afterwards.

Beautiful boardwalk experience.

The Falls are a definite must see if you go to Jasper.

when I arrived the tea house I realized there was no view from this level.
Most of the ascent to the tea house was in the woods and there was a little view all the way.
The only view is from the little beehive that was 1km ascend.

Got there 2p.m. in the afternoon. 10KM out and back. Only 2 other people on the top. Super gorgeous. Be sure to check out the hot springs source after your hike.

I didn’t find Takakkaw Falls really great. There were so many tourists around and climbing on the falls that it was hard to enjoy. I wouldn’t go again.

Hiking to Laughing Falls (approx 6-7 km round trip) was much more satisfactory in my opinion, with gorgeous falls at the end and a couple small falls and a lake on the route. Highly enjoyable easy trek.

This hike is really crowded but the views are great and the tea house is lovely. You can help out the tea house by bringing down trash bags to help them out.
