Beautiful trail - loved following the creek and hearing the falls!
been coming here for about 15 years, now I'm taking my son. This is one of the shortest hikes to the best waterfall I've been too. Sad that there's a lots of dead trees and washed out parts of the trail now :(
The trail looked abit different then last time because of the downed trees and washed away sections. It felt like a new map lol. enjoyed the hike and I ended up carrying out an injured hiker...Austin from Chatsworth hope you heal bro.
Busy but beautiful
I absolutely LOVED this trail! The scenery was stunning. Walking alongside a rushing river is so soothing. Brought my golden retriever with me and he loved it as well. Definitely coming back
Not as hard as other nearby trails marked as moderate on this app. I’d rate it as easy to easy-mod. Gentle uphill. You do have to walk across some log bridges and creeks but it isn’t difficult. Tons of families. Our 6 & 10 year old had no issues. It was fairly crowded which lessened the enjoyment. Lots of falls along the path that are quite beautiful.
Easy out and back.
Totally worth it. The 3 mile road in is rough, very rough but we did it in our mini van. Parking is a bear on busy days. Just take the first spot you can get. There’s no way to turn around if you get to the end and don’t have a spot. The trail is easy enough for small kids. The bridge is nice and the views are great. You can get down to the water in spots but it moves fast so be wouldn’t really be safe to play much more than just putting your feet in.
I’ll start by saying it wasn’t our first trip to Raven Cliff Falls so I knew generally what to expect. It’s a nice hike along trail that follows a river with a series of falls and cool falls at the end, BUT it’s too heavily traveled for my liking. It was a beautiful Spring Break day and the crowds were out in full force. The first bridge is still out, but that made for a fun bonus attraction for my kids and 73 year old mother to scramble across a downed tree. ;-)
So beautiful & perfect spot to have lunch, fish, or let kids play in creek. Our sons loved climbing the trees. There are several sandy spots & logs to sit and relax. Do not park at the end of the road if you are comfortable driving long distance on gravel. Drive ~3 miles down gravel road to the trail head & then walk the 0.8 miles to the bridge.
Beautiful hike with lots of waterfalls to see! We took our 7 and 9 year old daughters and they were able to complete all 5 miles no problem. When you get to what seems to be the end you can go up through a rock scramble alittle more to see a beautiful waterfall between rocks! At the beginning you will need to cross over a fallen tree. We were able to carry our littles across and hold the hand of the other with no issue. Made for a fun adventure!
Beautiful views! The trail follows along the river for most of the way. Long enough to make you break a sweat but not too hard of a hike. Can get a little muddy in some spots. Throughly enjoyed this hike. It is not recommended to climb up the rocks at the end of the trail as it can get slippery but if you're up for it, do it! Get up there. There's a little pool of water at the bottom of the waterfall. Thinking about jumping in next time. Lol
it was kinda hard to get across the river but we had some other people help us and get across. it is hard to walk on the roots and a lot of trees were fallen down and it was hard there to but othe than that it was gorgeous
Wow! Fantastic waterfall at the end of the short walk. Definitely muddy In spots so plan accordingly. Great place to wade in warm weather. The gbabies loved the water and rocks. Definitely climbed on up to the next level to view the top of the falls. It’s steep but easily done. Wouldn’t recommend taking young children up to that point. Over all a fantastic hike. And...when you come to a point that the road goes right and thru the creek, your there. Don’t cross over the creek. Park there. The trail will be directly in front of you and runs the same direction as the creek. Great day!!!
Very short, easy trail to two beautiful waterfalls. Highly recommend for almost any age.
Beautiful trail but be aware as it is an uneven, root covered path. Also, be prepared to cross 25 or so feet across the creek via fallen tree log. Easy enough to balance on for a person, but we had to carry one dog and remove the other from the leash as he would’ve pulled too hard for me to balance.
We took the unpaved road to the top and bypassed the 3.6 mile trail. A little rough but easier for the little ones. Great destination at the end! A must for picnics. It was a fantastic day!
Thoroughly enjoyed this hike! The waterfall at the end is definitely worth the hike. Amazing views throughout!
Great trail
