Nice trail! Plenty of water, lake, creeks & flowing stream with several waterfalls! The trail could be better marked, but even getting off it was through pleasant surroundings! The app was the only way we knew we were going the right way! Thanks All Trails!,

Great trail. It was a little muddy but not bad. Good trail for dogs. Some up and downs, but over all not too difficult

Had such a nice time. Pretty flat trail. A few spots made me nervous with young kids but we just picked them up. Such a cool place! We’ll definitely be back. Ohh and there’s a playground for after!

This was our first time coming here and didn’t really know what to expect as a friend had been suggested it so we thought, why not? If you’re looking for a quiet hike, this is not it. We got an early start but it was a constant stream of people, bikes, horses, etc. Not a big deal to some but not my idea of a hike. It was also clear that many people don’t clean up after their dogs, which was disappointing as I carried my bags the easy 2.5 miles to the garbage. We came from the Hantwick TH and planned to take some trails past the bridge but there was zero signage which for a place like this, you’d think they would have some guide or map other than just elevation. we did the most obvious small loop and called it good as we were getting a little irritated trying to figure it out past that. Like others have said too, hard to see the falls in high water season so maybe a sign to let you know what you may be looking at would’ve been nice. The scenery and bridge were beautiful, it just wasn’t the right “hike” for us.

Great trail! We did the 4 cedar trail. Still very muddy this time of year though so be prepared to have muddy shoes!

Great hike. Went 38 weeks pregnant and with a toddler in a carrier. Very doable. Pretty waterfall at the end!
Doesn’t take too long at all.

Beautiful day for a hike! The trails were in pretty good condition considering the time of year. Nice easy 6 mile loop.

busy but beautiful park like setting. shallow swimming and wading pools that are great in the summer

Choice of 4 loops-easy trail. Poor signage. Muddy and roots thru forest. Best direction are go to WSU, go straight instead of turning into college.TH by WSU barn. poor parking.

great trail with plenty of elevation changes!

Nice easy hike. Lots of kids and dogs :). The shooting range nearby is unnerving. Don’t let it affect you. This is a safe area even for women. It’s just not too scenic but it’s a great workout if you have a few hours.

good workout with inner trails and hills, watch your step in a few places. Dog friendly.

Took our little dog and 2 kids (4 and 8) - it was beautiful with lots to see. We did the sandy beach trail first, then 4 cedars. There were a lot of fellow hikers, and lots of dogs - all leashed and no poo on trail - yay! There were some super muddy and slippery areas, so don’t wear shoes that you don’t want yucky.

Great easy trail to hike with my dog. There were other dogs and bikers on this trail.

Pretty walk. A bit muddy this time of year, but with a some waterproof boots this trial is worth hiking :-)

Lots of folks out, which wasn't surprising considering it was a beautiful sunny day in January. I'd like to go back to explore some more of the smaller inner trails sometime too.

Just did a quick 2 miles around part of the lake, so beautiful!!! So many different trails and routes to take, I can’t wait to go back and explore more. Definitely many people out today, and it was sprinkling so I imagine it would be extremely packed during the warmer months. So pretty though!

Went 1/12/18 Road is currently closed

Was a beautiful hike we will be going again

Love this place.

I would rate this as a moderate trail. Very steep areas and lots of stairs. Not a lot of steady level ground. But pretty and quiet.

Can be muddy, but this place is beautiful! bring some good boots if you plan on going on the beach area. Can also be smelly. Great for clamming if you're into that. REally pretty and different hikes around the area.

Easy hike to get to and my 4 yr old walked most of the route too! Lots to see

We found this hike to be a little vanilla and relatively crowded. While the path is well taken care of, we tend to go hiking for a little more seclution. During January the falls are more of a set of large rapids but I'm sure they are more appealing during the dryer months. The river setting is nice and there are plenty of opportunities to stop and have a picnic at one of the many park benches provided. The thing that saved the day from total disappointment was the pair of bald eagles we found only 40 to 50 feet up in a tree right off the trail over looking the water. They seemed completely unoffended by our presence and stood for our many pictures of them.

It’s an easy trail. Lots of traffic and very muddy, but was still a pleasant and pretty little hike. Something nice for a quick fix when you don’t have time to go somewhere with more incline. We did the loop clockwise and then went back counterclockwise to get a little more out of it. Doing that it give you 4 miles.

A nice and quiet trail with decent views. Came across 2 groups of hikers while I was there.

Love this hike! We hiked with two toddlers on our backs and it was the perfect distance. Nice and easy!

Good views of Puget Sound from 200’ up or so... there are easy trails that go down to the beach... also there is a lovely creek that flows into the saltwater that entertained our daughter, and I fished a little with no luck tho. Fun hike for family.
