This is a great hike close to town. as others have said the markings are not good/confusing. We really enjoyed it as I have been to the lake for many years and this is the first time I have seen some of these places.

Great for kids, awesome options to mix it up, waterfalls, wildflowers, what else could you ask for?

So-so mountain bike ride, short and some steep areas. Better is the lacamas lake trail just across the road right along the lake edge with a few nice gentle ups and downs.

Panther Creek Falls..just FYI..we pulled & parked at rock pit...we got out of our car..checked out the Picas..went towards the asphalt ..look down "⬅️FALLS" is spray painted on the asphalt...go left then again "➡️FALLS"to the trailhead.. not much of a hike but breathtaking all the same

Wanted to check somewhere out closer to home. There were some lovely views along this hike...I loved the rushing water under the bridge. Overall I was trying to find Woodburn Falls but found it a bit confusing based on the signage. Never did find it but I still enjoyed my time. The trail had a lot of dog waste along the path and the paths were rockier than I anticipated.

It was beautiful and refreshing standing on the back of the fall!!!

Upper section not too crowded (Friday 9/14/18 afternoon). Some road/traffic noise along lower section. Beautiful forested area. Decent elevation change with some switchbacks.

trails are not marked besides trail head. and WARNING SPOTTED a cougar at the trail split at 745 am the other day

Hiked on 9/8. The upper falls loop wasn’t too crowded—but lower falls looked a lot busier. Gorgeous views all around due to a dry and sunny day. Couldn’t have asked for a better morning hike to start the day.

two waterfalls in one hike. nice!

had a great time walking this Trail, ended up doing the loop twice because of the incline and sheer magnitude of the view you get both at the top of the falls and lower Falls. Highly recommend

Highly reccomend stable shoes. Took my dog on this hike and had a blast but the trail is not flat. I didn't have too much trouble but when I wasn't paying attention to my feet I rolled my ankle over a few times. Definitely my bad for wearing running shoes. Not very difficult, but I would have to say going down on the last treck was the more difficult part for me with my dog. He's still learning trail etiquette.

This was a nice hike with a beautiful waterfall. We found the little trail that took us closer to the base and then we continued down the trail and ended up at reflection lake. This made the stop worth it as the waterfall itself is not much of a hike.

Very green, beautiful falls even in March.

Started at Longmire and ended at Madcap falls. Total distance is 7.2 miles out and back. Beautiful hike! When you get to Carter falls Madcap falls is only steps away. I thought Madcap was prettier than Carter. This is now one of my favorite Mount Rainier hikes!

How do you get underneath the Waterfalls? We hiked past the viewpoint from the parking lot today.

Great loop hike! But it wasn’t 2 miles. More like 4.4 which was great! Rocky terrain, shoes with good soles are recommended. From the lower park, take the left hand trail at the Y. It will take you to the lower falls within about a mile. Keep going and eventually you will reach the upper falls ~2 miles. Then loop back down on the other side of the stream. Moderate only because of the terrain. The elevation gain was about 1000 ft. Great on a beautiful day. You can walk behind both falls. Please be kind though, and pack in pack out. This is a very tourist-y spot.

The Forest Service has block off access to the unauthorized trail to the bottom of the falls because people have fell from the edge. The only authorized trail to the viewing platform. Access to the creek above the falls is also fenced off.

Beautiful easy hike to amazing views of the bridal view falls. Go past the wooden bridge and head right to get to the picturesque view of the falls.

The falls are beautiful and worth seeing. We decided to make this a stop on our way to another hike. The drive takes a little bit of time and we did get a little confused as to where to stop and park. It’s a very short hike to the viewing area and that was far enough for us especially with kids.

Beautiful place. Kids did great!

Beautiful falls and lush green forest. A short and easy two miles, but definitely worth doing! More people than I would like to have around. Hike early to get a parking spot and less peope traffic.

Very easy but nice trail to hike. I enjoyed this one very much. It has a little bit of everything here. I will go back in the winter to check out the higher water levels.

Lovely place. The view was so worth it, would highly recommend hiking here!

Fun hike. Great for kids and puppies

Love this area. Shaded, not a flat trail in all areas but plenty. Has some gentle hills to work on the heart rate. Beautiful place to put in a few miles.
