Easy trail. Frozen waterfall.

Not a bad trail. Was too easy and left us wanting more. The sad thing was there was no other trails on this side of the lake.

not really a trail but if you near it do it. the view is awesome from the house. great for all ages because it's so easy

The hike has a total of 14 river crossing to just get to the trail head. We took a non 4 wheel drive vehicle and made it. You do have to take the river crossing super slow otherwise the water will splash on the battery and you’ll have to wait to let it dry before your car will start (Found out the hard way). We only hiked to the big falls and then turned around. GPS was a little off and it is closer to 3.6 miles for the entire hike. This time of year the hike had no water from the falls but the river had a little bit of water. Overall great hike if you’re willing to drive through the crossings.

Beautiful view! Great for pictures
Easy trail

This was a nice trail. It was colder so there weren’t many people at all. It goes over a wash and up to a fork where you can see a waterfall (no waterfall right now) and the mossy cave. The cave is certainly mossy and there’s an info sign that says it’s covered in icicles in the winter. The trailhead is fairly easy to find. Go east on 12 and around one of the bends is a parking area with a sign and a little shack.

The waterfall had essentially no water in it (in late October) and the cave wasn't anything special. Easy, but extremely boring hike.

Great hike with great views of golden gate! Make sure to stop by Battery viewpoint! You fee like you are touching the bridge. The beach at the end is awesome! There were a few people there which was super nice :)

This is an amazing hike through what I would consider a cactus garden and although at parts you are walking basically in the streambed, it is not a difficult hike. The views are well worth going for, as well as the scenery of the Joshua trees and the other cactus plants. Parking is right off the main road so lock up all valuables.
A Virtual Treadmill video of this hike can be seen on my YouTube Channel, copy and paste link below to watch it. Thanks.

Nice views of the rocks, but you can still see the road while on a lot of the marked portion of the trail. However, there are opportunities to go off the beaten path, which is always a plus to me.

Gorgeous views. Awesome beach at the end. Almost no people. A lot of picnic tables with spectacular views.

Great way to get up high into the Sierra Nevada without having to climb far. Trailhead begins about 10,000 ft, next to good campground facilities. We did full-on steak, wine, the works, at the trailhead, then left non-hike gear behind...all "smellables" in the roomy bear-boxes. Plenty of water on the trail. Everything beyond the trailhead rises to "no open fires" altitude. So, bring warm camp clothing, and enjoy the stars.

Very easy but use the road from the meadow side ! You need a SUV at least :)

Great hike to bring people from out of town. It’s easy & gorgeous! Makes for great memorable pics.

short and easy hike. mossy grotto nothing special. waterfall was special and if you continue around the bend the creek is fun to follow up into the canyon

This was a quick down and back hike .8 miles each way. My dad and I took a long lunch break on a Friday for this route. going in the middle of the day made for easier parking and it wound up a perfect break from the work day!

We made a quick stop with our group of 18 people. We spent most of our time by the waterfall. We hiked up the river to get to it. The children enjoyed it and the scenery was beautiful. Easy little walk.

Very hot in the summer and barely any shade but very pretty rocks.

At first you go uphill for about 1/2 a mile and then you start heading downhill. You end up at a beach which is BEAUTIFUL! Coming back the road is steep, but not difficult.

Love this hike, and I’m biased because it’s where my husband proposed. ❤️

Fun short hike with beautiful views.

Loved it. Nice easy day trip or overnight.

We went in early June. The meadows were green and the lakes were gorgeous. There are plenty of good camping spots around the lakes. The hike cuts through various types of alpine scenery and is capped off by a killer view of New Army Pass.

the road and building close at 5PM. i came late but got a few pictures of it in the sunset

Fun hike, we went during a thunderstorm and the river along the way looked like chocolate milk! Two adults and a 3 year old, fun and easy peasy!

The waterfall portion is not closed, the trails that take you along the edge are closed and there is a trail on your left that is open so you do not walk directly up to it along the edge of the creek. Went during a thunderstorm so everything was flowing fast! White people that don't use common sense below and give bad ratings because they are ignorant, are quite annoying ^^

I love this easy hike ! The birding is really good I saw a blue heron here last week.
You can access several trailheads from here as well.
