Muddy and icy but very doable. Such beauty around every turn. Our GPS measured over 9 miles. Took us 5 hours. The trail is starting to dry out in places. Loved it!
Amazing trail with great views! Sunset point is steep, icy and muddy so I would recommend starting from the queens garden side. Crampons are a must!!
Amazing. A bit slushy, icy and muddy. I had traction devices on my shoes which was helpful.
A must do if visiting Bryce Canyon NP!
breathtaking views and you can walk your dogs!
Very beautiful! Fantastic views! Part of the trail was closed due to the heavy snow
Forgot to turn off record so my time is shorter than actually listed. Trail was icey and we were only ones out there this early morning. Definitely recommend crampons for the switchbacks they were super slick.
Gorgeous views, trail is easy to follow. Wall Street section is closed due to ice, recommend doing it counter clockwise and loop from sunset point to sunrise point. Microspikes were helpful in some sections, muddy and icy in spots
If you have a few hours in Bryce this is the hike to do! Fairly steep but if I can do it anyone can. Not too busy around this time. There was still some snow so be mindful it can get a bit slippery, but the views of the Hoodoos with the snow was amazing
such an awesome trail! hiked this morning, took about 5.5 hours with lots of pictures, snack breaking, and not used to the elevation rests. very muddy, snowy (though it's mostly compacted), and a few ice patches. we used icetrekkers but it can be done without.
awesome view!!
Gorgeous! Muddy and icy
It was beautiful. However, the hike was supposed to be 7.8 miles which turned into 9.6 miles. Lots of incline. Ice was the easiest part of the hike with crampons. The mud on the other hand was terrible, our feet were sinking in and the mud made each shoe feel ten pounds heavier. The mud was also very slippery. The trail just switched on and off between the two. The views were stunning though. Lots of different sandstone structures, just breathtaking! You get views of the hoodoos from different angles and elevation. I agree with the user who wrote to turn around at mile four due to the mud. It was too much and it made the hike very difficult.
Gorgeous hike into the canyon.
God Bryce is so good. Pictures do not do this justice. You really would benefit from Yak tracks here and can rent them at this place that’s on the left near the park entrance that has a skating rink and also has a hotel with the same name. I can’t remember the name but it was $10 for the day and best $$ I’ve ever spent. They also give you hiking poles though those seemed like a hindrance to some in my group. I consumed my first of 10 PB and banana sandwiches and it really hit. 12 hikes later and 9 PB and banana sandwiches later, and this hike and that sandwich remain my favorites.
SO beautiful. Bryce has my heart.
at last I understand why people die for love. navajo loop + queen's garden has stolen my heart. get yak traks! you get the broad panoramas and the up close hoodoo realness. unreal.
Awesome trail and views but as of February 24th the trail is very muddy and has slick spots due the melting snow and ice. If I could do it again, I would turn around at 4 miles and head back the way I came because the rim trail you take back is a muddy mess right now.
