We hiked the trail with our 6and 8 yr old daughters. Took us 1hr and 35min. Beautiful snow made this January hike a blast. Lots of great look out spots and photo opportunities overlooking lakes and marshes. If you’re staying in the park during the winter be prepared to add another 1.5km to your hike just to get to the start of the Cranberry trail. Then add that same 1.5 km to end to get back to you yurt site. Totally recommended however.

Two or three beautiful look out spots. Our 6 and 8 yr old daughters hiked it with us. Went in January. Lots of hard pack snow made the hike possible with boots. Snow shoes not required. Took us 1.5 hrs.

Amazing trail with stunning lookouts. Hiked it with our two dogs.
Bring lots of water and wear comfortable footwear as it’s up and down most of the way.

Did this hike mid December, about of Foot of snow on the ground and was beautiful, amazing view from the top after climbing up a bunch of rocks/boulders, glad we had snow pants on for the climb down as there were a lot of icy rocks and we slid down on our back sides. 14$ parking in the lot at trail head

Amazing views. Well worth while!

Beautiful trail, there are lots of tree roots and the leaves can make things a little slippery so watch where you’re going.

Well marked very pretty
Felt safe
Plenty look outs

great hike. can be slippery when the rocks are wet

Great hike with signs all the way along. It took us 4,5 hours with a good pace. For sure the terrain is good for kids too. There is loads of wonderful views and to our surprise it was great for walk even in mid of October!

Awesome foliage. Our Brittany spaniel made it to the top. A must see.

Great trail. Took us 5.5 hours. Could have done it quicker but you have to take advantage of the lookout views in the fall. We were fortunate the weather was unusually warm in the middle of October. Even took a dip in the c-c-c-cold Georgian Bay. Well worth it

Stunning and amazing trail. combined rocks, water and beautiful flore.
not extremely hard but can't be accessible for everyone because of the last part (you will need the help of your hands to reach the top, but if you are fit enought to reach this point you can finish it) the effort is SO worth it!!

Beautiful scenery throughout the entire trail. Difficult rock scrambles in parts but overall a moderate trail.

Great hike and some beautiful views. Not very difficult over all but a few steep rocky scrambles.

Great trail for an easy day hike! did it in just over an hour and we took our time.

Great trail. Great views of Georgain bay. The trail is well marked in most places.
We hike the full loop, it took us 4.5 hrs. We moved at a good pace but I wouldn't say we were speeding through. We briefly stopped at the lookout and continued on.

Definitely a great hike! Worth the trek for the view! - Speaking from an inexperienced hiker, this trail was manageable. A moderate-hard hike depending on your fitness level.

My absolute favorite hike in Ontario (so far). First 2.5km were a breeze - fairly flat and wide, easy to follow and peaceful. The next bit was tougher - you are climbing some big rocky/root-filled hills (starting to hit some amazing views) until the 3.5km (or so mark) - a final accession up the crack. I had to put my camera away to scamper up the steep steep rocks. Spectacular views at the top. Stopped for lunch there. It was pretty busy (we encountered 15 or more small groups or pairs of hikers in the 3.5 hours we were there) even though we went on a Tuesday morning. I loved this hike. Gorgeous in the fall. Would love to do the whole La Cloche Sillouhette Loop next!

Depending on your fitness level and hiking experience I would rate this hike as a mod-hard trail. Absolutely worth the climb for the view. The beginning walkthrough is nice and easy then the climbing begins. A few small climbs and descents until the main climb through the crack up to the viewpoint.

Amazing hike, much preffered over Silver Peak even!

Halfway Log Dump to Grotto and back, 13km (with some double-backing). A great day trek, moderately difficult. The greatest benefit from a start at Halfway Log Dump is parking access (~60 cars, $11.70 fee) and until you reach the Cyprus intersection, no people. The grotto was well populated, we left quickly. Two dogs with us (Portuguese Water Dogs), they loved the day. Note that the first access to water, north from Halfway Log Dump is over 5km; this proved to be a lot of heat for the dogs. Full summer heat/humidity would have been too much.

Nice afternoon hike. A bit slippery on the rocks in a few places.

We completed the entire loop in 6 1/2 hours and this was hauling a** with only short breaks along the way. Bring your bathing suit to so can go for a dip once you reach the rock beach. The trail is not overly difficult but lots of elevation change. We found the rocks to be very slippery. Bring lots of water, we only brought 2 bottles each and could of used 4 each. it was definitely a work out and we were very exhausted by the end but it was worth it.

awesome warm up hike for the weekend. we ended our hike with a refreshing dip in the lake.

This is a fantastic hike but it is quite challenging. My wife and I did the entire loop and thoroughly enjoyed the scenic views all along the way. However, it took us 6 hours, we also had a 2-1/2 year old on our backs practically the whole time. He only ended up walking maybe 2km out of the entire 17km trail. We’re pretty avid hikers and we both work out several times a week. Both of us were quite sore after this trail as it is fairly rugged. If you’re going to hike the entire loop be prepared for a long day and bring plenty of water and food.

Fun and challenging hike. Great views.

Good leisure hike

Quick, moderate hike. Great views.
