Great trail, we went right at the bridge to tackle the climb first. Glad we did that way when we got to the river we were ready to climb on the rocks. My pregnant daughter with her daughter in backpack carrier, my wife and 10 year old had a blast. Stay left of bridge for kids under 8 IMO. Awesome time and would do that again.
A shorter hike, but has some steep inclines to get your heart pumping. But then settles down where it meets and runs along the river for awhile. Very beautiful hike, sounds of the rushing river over the rocks is great too!
Awesome, moderate trail! So much fun!
We went to the right at the bridge & got the worst part over with first. It was steep!! Once you get to the river it’s totally worth it. The views were amazing & there are lots of spots to walk all the way down to the river. Along the river there are some pretty narrow parts of the trail with a steep drop off. If you don’t want to do the whole trail go left at the bridge & get to the river faster and then go go that same way. Loved it!!!!
The trail was a great combination of different sceneries. It was hilly, rocky at times, Mountain View at times and wooded. It takes you near a really neat river with cool rapids. I personally would not necessarily recommend for families with young kids under 5 years old due to some of the steep areas. Very beautiful area and great quick hike. Nothing too difficult, but will give you a decent workout and get you winded at times.
Really nice clear trios lots of slopes and views.
Perfect short hike with a beautiful river and falls.
A little steep climb, but nothing too bad. Worth it for an amazing view and beautiful sunset!
Pay for parking before you go. There’s no cell service Park trail is great. Worth paying parking fee
Love this trail! Can’t wait to come back!!
I work for the state park. There is no Beaver Lodge trail. It was washed away in the big flood years back. It was replaced by the Friends of Beaver’s Bend trail. I’m not sure why it’s even on here.
Great elevation changes and a nice scenic views. My wife and I really enjoyed this hike. Trail is clearly marked out. It was a little hard finding the trail head at first.
Great little hike. Hike wise nothing super special , however, when you reach the river the views are amazing.
Beautiful views
Very peaceful in the early morning with the birds singing and the water rushing. I went the route All Trails recommended, and that was definitely easier since you got the hill over with at the beginning. However, the other direction would have been prettier since you would face the river the whole time, although the markers on the trees go the direction that all trails takes you. The trail is still pretty wet from a lot of rain yesterday, but it was still very nice and not too slick
I would promise an easy trail. The hill was pretty short and not too steep. The view over the river was very pretty. I saw some deer and a bunch of vultures circling and then landing in the trees above me. Pretty cool!
Started off on Tree Trail and it was lightly raining and decided to just go for it and hit the lookout loop. A nice steep climb up. It continued to rain the entire time I was on the trail. I didnt stop at the top due to the rain and lack of visibility. I Took a spur that looped me back to the tree trail and I was able to check out the creek and a few of the deeper blue pools without anyone else to share the area with. I was slightly disappointed with the amount of trash I saw on the trail. I guess it is pretty typical for a state park trail with 100s of people using it every weekend.
