Easy hike with beautiful views! I Recommend hiking this early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise without crowds:)

Was a little hard at first due to the previous day frozen rain but totally worth the "dangers". Breathtaking view at the top. Make sure to check out the tallest point for another amazing view
No crows at all in Jan. Accessible even when the Blue Ridge Parkway is closed

well marked, travelled it my a 9 year old

Very nice hike. Pretty hilly but nice change in terrain throughout trail

Such an easy walk. The road was closed due to weather so we parked on the side of the road and walked up the trail. Very easy, gentle climb. Lots of pups and families on the trail.

Very muddy day. I managed with my snap-n-go stroller, but wish I had a jogging stroller due to the mud. On a drier day the cheaper stroller would have been fine. Beautiful trail, lots of dogs and runners.

nice easy loop trail around price lake ,can be wet in places .

the view from the summit is great. the trail has many switchbacks and is not hard at all if you hike moderately.

Went in late October 2018 with good friend Kelly B. We are in mid 60’s and was no problem. The leaves still had not changed but we took my dog (Peaches) and she loved the hike also. We live about 9 miles from Elk Knob and the total time was around 2.5 hours. Trail is well maintained and views are sensational.

Great hike off the Blue Ridge Parkway with amazing views.

Well maintained Trail with great views at the top! My husband and I are in our early 60s and had no problem hiking this trail. I highly recommend. We hiked the day after Thanksgiving and found it a winter wonderland. So beautiful!

I have wanted to hike this trail for over a year and finally got to tackle it today. It's rocky and muddy but manageable. The views of the mountains and the Linn Cove Viaduct are amazing! Well worth the trip.

Lots of people working out and walking here, nice for a good quick run in circles

Short, easy hike with a really beautiful view. Would be a great place for a picnic on a sunny day

Very fun trail with amazing views! In my groups opinion it wasn’t very hard like the reviewers say (and we aren’t in very well shape like most). Would recommend this trail to anyone.

Moderate climb, muddy with some slick rocks and roots and lots of traffic but 100% worth the amazing 360 degree views of the mountains. Parking was tight, dogs were friendly and people were courteous on the trail when it got a little narrow or tricky. One of the best trails on the parkway!

Great Hike but very short and easy. Make sure to take a left over the bridge and not a right to get to the top.

Excellent loop with dogs who like to do a little swimming and mud-bogging. Terrain was moderate and lots of shade. Ideal hike for a fall afternoon. The lake and mountains in the distance were beautiful and we crossed over to check out the dam at the end. Nice spot!

Good trail, and in many places I would rate it higher, but it is too close to world class hiking to do again.

The views make this hike a really amazing one. So stellar.

Great family hike! A lot of variety , very pretty steam hike and opening up to a meadow ! Dog loved wide open area! Only concern ( could have been our fault) we had to walk on parkway for 0.7 miles when finished and this was not ideal with dog.

A fair amount of climbing for a short trail but the trail condition is excellent and that makes the climb a breeze. The overviews are quite pretty and there's an excellent view of the Linn Viaduct. Not much parking so it's best to visit on weekdays.

Its a slightly rugged, can get muddy if its been raining, which is the best time to go because the water is flowing so good. Very scenic, family friendly, trail can be kinda rocky and muddy so be careful but overall a nice sight to see.

Not too difficult. A lot of overlooks on the way up. Nice views of Grandfather Mtn and the Parkway going around it. Some cool rock formations throughout the hike. 2 mile round trip from the parking area.
