good little hike. Breathtaking views.

Beautiful scenery, within walking distance of our Airbnb. Perfect hike for a beginner from Louisiana!

This is a nice little hike to take with your kids and dogs but watch out for the occasional bicyclist. Especially around blind spots, they pick up speed and can be a bit scary! Also, depending on the weather the path can become muddy but the views when you get there, are rewarding.

Wonderful view of Boise. Fun for kids.

Awesome quick hike for an afternoon. Lots of bikers along the way that were all super friendly. awesome veiw of the Treasure Valley.

Excellent loop around the foothills area. It was a bit muddy today when we went, after some rain the night before, and some trails were closed to reduce erosion. There are countless other trails in this area to help keep things fresh. Don't forget to bring the pup along for this one! There's even a few controlled off-leash areas.

Clean free camp site, first come first serve, get cozy with your neighbors because you’re all right on top of each other, but you are surrounded by tall scenic landscapes. The views are spectacular with amazingly colored landscapes. Tons of trails to hike and drive. Would totally recommend anyone to go if you get a chance. About a 2 hr drive to the campsites if your coming from the Boise area of Idaho.

Nice if you need to get outside real quick, the hike is short and easy and swimming in the waterfall is fun.

Great loop, some good vertical. A fairly heavily trafficked loop. I started at Bobs trail and then did Corrals and Highland.

This is on my Top 10 hikes! Easy hike with jaw dropping views. Perfect for kids! My boys 9 and 12 said this was one of their favorite hikes and we've had our share of hikes! I imagine it is fabulous in the summer for swimming and wading through the creek. Lots of nooks and caves to explore.

Jump Creek is easy to find. I went in the spring when the water was very high and parts of the trail were underwater. Despite the flooding, my trek to the falls was a quick and easy. The falls really are an amazingly beautiful sight out in the Owyhee desert. Saw hawks, coyotes, and people.

this was a neat little rocky hike out to the falls and back. the falls were beautiful and it was a nice swimming spot until it got super crowded. the rim trails were pretty cool as well, definitely recommend making the trip

Great family hike.

map not accurate....not a loop had to retrace steps ended up being an 18 mile horse back ride PHEW! When you come to the rock pile on the ridge turn back! pretty ride though

This was a really fun, quick hike to a beautiful waterfall. Fun little caves and things to see along the way too. Great for kids as well!

Amazing! Easy hike, great swimming. Absolutely loved it!

Great little loop! Heavily trafficked with mountain bikes and dogs since this is an off leash trail. Nice short and sweet hike close in town.

This place is called Foothills Learning Center.

This ones a tuffie!

Short trail to waterfall. Kids didn't fare well with some of the loose gravel on the trail in some spots.

This trail was pretty cool...I prefer more trees but for a high desert trail it's nice! there's water along the way which is nice break. Theres a few decent inclines and some nice views along the way. Trailhead is easy to find with plenty of parking (during a week morning at least lol)

Easy trail. Beautiful area with refreshing Cold water that feels great on a hot day. Easy to pack in your lunch and spend the afternoon. Bring water shoes as it is rocky.

There is an upper parking lot and a lower parking lot. If you park at the upper lot and walk up to the steel marker signs there is a trail but it only takes you around the rim. There is also no mention that it will not take you down to the falls. We passed a dozen people about to make the same mistake we had and informed them where to start.

Once we went to the lower lot and hiked it the trail was beautiful and shaded as you passed over the creek. Definitely need water shoes. Folks with older knees might have a tricky time over 20yards of trail because of steeper steps that ago up then and down to the creek bed.

The falls are chilly and the ground rocky. Water shoes are a good idea. Bring snacks and have a picnic and enjoy the day!

Honestly, I liked a lot about this trail but it did have a rough half. The scenery in the first half is beautiful and the climb is pretty fun. Shortly after the top you'll end up on a dirt bike trail which is probably the worst decent I've been on. Tons of holes, flat rock covered in gravel, 30-40 degree slope and it goes on for miles. If I did it again I would treat it like and out and back and turn around before that section. The length is challenging but nothing on this trail really struck me as hard. There are tons of Mormon crickets during the summer which can be annoying. There are some great birds near the beginning and along the forest portions of the trail but don't expect much near the dirt bike section. Watch out for black widows!

Good visually. Lots of birds but also tons of mountain bikers. Makes bird photography difficult at times. Popular wedding photo area during golden hours.

Great hike! Parallels a small creek for a few miles and then goes up into the foothills quite a ways. Not much traffic out there, some incredibly scenic views of downtown Boise!

Awesome day hike! Really surprised by this one. It's tucked away on some back roads. Spent about 5 hours back there and didn't see another person. Would definitely do again. The only thing I would recommend is to download the directions prior to entering the area. There isn't any cell service within 20 miles. So if you aren't familiar you will surely miss your turn. Hike was awesome. Not too difficult and the view just got better as I went deeper into the trail.

Super easy hike. Perfect for little kids. Wear shoes that can get wet. Enjoy the waterfall. You can play and swim in it.
