This was a beautiful loop, even in the middle of the summer. The creeks were dried up but still plenty to see. He cautious of the multitudes of bikes on the trail. But those we encountered were very friendly. There are a bunch of forks in the trail that give a lot of options, Bob's Trail was our favorite part of the loop, I recommend leaving this trail for the end of the hike for the surprise of beauty!

Nice trail with beautiful views, but way too many bikers on it for comfort. It seemed like every five minutes we had to move to the side to let someone pass.

My dog absolutely loved walking the trail and so did I!!

Caution!! Not as “Easy” as they rate. Good trail for hiking bad trail for biking. Huge boulders.

What a beautiful hidden gem out in the middle of the barren high desert! I will suggest if you hike the upper trail, that takes off from the upper parking lot, understand that it dead ends at a beautiful vista which offers a photo opportunity and not to the falls. Also wear proper hiking boots as the trail is very narrow and slippery.

I ended up being the first person there at 7:45am on Saturday 6/30/18! Crowd started rolling in around 9. Stunning waterfall. Very cold, but worth the dunk

bit of a climb going up but not hard. beautuful rock formation on top. nice quick hike.

The trail has a different name if you’re following the map.
There is no shade for people and relatives boring.
I think might be better off just doing the table rock hike.
I’ll try again in the spring and fall.

Loved it! My 6 year old loved it, too! It’s a beautiful small hike that leads to a gorgeous waterfall and swimming area.

Could not find the trail head.

Nice easy walk with my dad. A little busy because of Memorial Day weekend but still nice to get out...

great trail for families!

Amazing family fun with the kids. There are two trails to follow. The one on the right is steep and takes you to the overlook. Be very careful if you have kids because it is difficult. Take the lower Trail on the left to get to the falls. Only a 0.6 mile hike there and back. Super easy for the kids. If you plan on going in the water I recommend bringing water shoes since the rocks under water can be jagged and sharp.

One of the most beautiful and easy to get into trails that's also so close to Boise!

Easy family hike! My 5 year old and 2 year old walked most of it. The waterfall at the end makes it worth it!

Was a great hike with our 4 kids. Saw a coyote at the top that walked right in front of us trying to get away. We beat the rain storm so we timed it perfectly. Very family friendly trail! Be sure to eat some homemade ice cream at Goody’s on 13th when your done. Was very good!

Nice decent hike. Easy enough for the kids.

Perfect family hike, picnic, swim. Much to explore! You can even do it in flip flops! Went peak summer August weekend and there were 3 or 4 other families, but it didn't feel overly crowded.

Super beautiful right now, a good 4 mile stretch of straight incline to get you huffin and puffin. On the loop back down, the 8th st motorcycle trail is pretty rutted out and steep, so a little sketchy to hike down, AND this “route” is somehow not accurate. We “missed” a turn off femrite patrol to watchmans because it doesn’t actually exist. Ended up just taking watchmans the other direction when it actually converged with femrite, then going left on three bears trail back to Shaw mtn road and walking a short distance back up the road to the original trail head

Clearly marked trail, low vegetation, full sun (depending on time of day-we went in evening). There is a small stream towards the north west end of the trail. The trail could be a gateway to many other trails.

On the Wednesday night we hiked, we saw 30+ bikers. There were also other hikers and trail runners. Trail is well loved and popular-bonus people are super friendly and respectful!

This is an off leash dog-friendly area, but be prepared to have your dog under control at all times-due to the varied trail usage.

Great one for the kids and dogs. suggest week days before noon as weekends get real crowded. Loved it

I would definitely recommend this trail! Even though it’s a short, maintained trail straight to the falls, there are various trails in the area as well. The waterfall along with the wading pool is awesome to swim in especially on a hot, sunny day. Expect people here at anytime of the week, but trails are so spaced out that you don’t really notice anyone! I’d rate this trail 9/10!

Beautiful in early spring

Perfect for a quick hike with the kids.

Definitely an easy hike, took about 20 minutes in and out.

It's so green right now! Nice hike. There are 2 small steam crossings at the beginning (water your dogs!), but nothing higher up.

Really enjoyable hike. We didn’t do the loop, we did up and back because of so many motorcycles on the top of the loop. Up and straight back down ended up being about 8 miles. Good for kids if they hike often.

Great hike! Lots of other folks with their dogs, mountain bikers, runners, walkers — you name it. I will definitely be doing this again!
