Really enjoyable hike. We didn’t do the loop, we did up and back because of so many motorcycles on the top of the loop. Up and straight back down ended up being about 8 miles. Good for kids if they hike often.

Great hike too many bikes.

The trailhead is at the end of Council Springs Road. About three minutes from the coordinates given here! The road ends with a gate at the end.

nice easy hike with great view
some blind spot on cyclist.

was wonderful today, April 9th. good ups and downs, enough challenge mixed with some moments of decent to get your breath back. very beautiful!

Loved this trail! It was super easy to follow, and me and my dogs really enjoyed it. We will be back soon! :)

A beautiful trail with gorgeous views overlooking the city. There was lots of run off water ruts in the trail which could cause some difficulties when biking.

Nice up-and-down loop with views of the city at the southern end. I would amend the trail description to remove "lightly trafficked", as I've been to a trailhead that is packed on several occasions. This one has been discovered and is very popular on the weekends or after work during week-days. If you can go during non-peak hours, it is great.

I use this route for trail running laps as it lets me bail if needed within walking distance to my car, plus the trailhead includes a bathroom.

One of my go to hikes. Very gradual inclines and declines. Would recommend for anyone looking for an easy hike with nice views.

Great hike! Kids enjoyed it. Great views of the city. Pretty trafficked. Several hikers and mountain bikers too.

Stayed in an Airbnb within walking distance and tried all the trails surrounding us. Loved it!

Gorgeous. Went up to theNordic Lodge and snowshoed Streamside Trail. I think we got lost because that was a steep decline and a killer uphill return!

Happened upon this trail and hopped out to give it a try. Very nice, heard lots of meadowlarks. Pretty spot.

great moderate hike!

Looking great today!

A few areas pretty muddy today in 3/11/18 but not as bad as Sweet Connie. We only got out 4.28 miles before we had to turn around in Sweet Connie. Love this little loop on a beautiful morning.

Tough first mile, then beautiful ups and downs.

It’s an easy to moderate trail with beautiful views of the treasure valley and bogus basin!

Easy gentle ascent.

Easy unless you’re out of shape like me. Great views.

Nice - typical Boise foothills. Good views on a clear day, a nice easy loop.

This was a lovely hike next to a mountian creek. We saw some wildlife and lots of other hikers. Watch out for bicyclists, most of the time we didn't have to worry but be cautious around corners and blind spots.

Great hike with amazing views! Some muddy spots, but do-able with boots.

Beautiful and scenic trail. Currently muddy but still fun to run

Jan 1,2018 little mud and ice to be expected but this trail has beautiful views, cut thru on Doe ridge also. Great start to new year

We followed the directions to the trail head but there was no parking there. You basically had live in the neighborhood in order to hike the trail.

Well developed trail with good changes in elevation. We did see a number of deer while on the hike which was a nice bonus. Well marked and has a couple of shortcuts if you want to shorten it some. Overall an enjoyable moderator level trail
