Great places to explore the old dunes of the island.

Not the longest trail but most definitely a great time. Has some decent technical sections, a jump line, and a really awesome drop in that leads to a wooden berm that’s like riding a roller coaster. Always a fun time and worth checking out.

I love this trail! The trees are beautiful and the bridges add a nice touch. The trail is pretty shaded in the afternoon. There are a few steep hills that are a great end to a work out if that’s what you’re looking for. My doggies also love to walk on this trail! Perfect for fur babies.

Great trail for all activities. Shady, toilets , birds and friendly users. Easy terrain but many hills.

Short and mostly flat. Wear good shoes as there are lots of surface roots. After a rain the trail is muddy in spots. About halfway through there is a platform overlooking the sound. There wasn’t.a lot of wildlife out at the time except for an abundance of frogs along the trail.

I completed this trail in the beginning of April on a mountain bike. I am new to mountain biking and found it was great for beginners. The trails were not marked the best but the views along the creek were absolutely gorgeous.

This is a beautiful trail with mix of hikers and mountain bikers. Travel is single track and bi-directional. There are elevation changes on the beach side with great views of dunes, beaches, and ocean. The sound side offers a canopied trail with numerous boardwalks and nature sitings. Two or three laps of this 3.2 mile loop make a great workout.

Beautiful creek

We took our grandchildren on this hike....We had a picnic also.. the kids loved it and so did we!!

Enjoyable loop trail through a maritime forest to a salt marsh with a view of the sound beyond it where several shorebirds feed. There is an elevated deck overlooking the marsh and sound that would be a good place to set up a spotting scope. Poison Ivy is abundant along the trail but the trail is wide and it isn’t much of a problem. I’ve never seen so many Fowler’s Toads in one place. They were hopping off the trail every twenty or thirty feet. There is plenty of parking at the trailhead.

as far as rail trails go, I thought this was a nice one. It is shaded in most places which is nice in the hot sun around here. It was quiet and I didn't find it boring or creepy. Did 3 miles with the dog. Did see quite a few people but they were far between so it didn't feel like a busy trail.

pretty boring trail. Thought I was getting a nice river walk, but the trail is seperated from the river by a thick row of trees so you don't get that river walk feel. Had meant to walk the whole length but got very bored with no interesting scenery and ended up turning around after just 3 miles. Busy little trail with lots of cyclists, walkers, and runners.

Nice easy stretch of pavement for decent running without leaving the city. Easy parking at the soccer complex.

Badly marked trail. Not maintained very well. Lots of ticks.

Easy hike...went at 430 pm on a Wednesday and there wasn't anyone else around

going there to night to camp out and go fishing

Great little park. Very nice trails. They have horse and bike trails that go all the way up to the Neuse River, plan to try these next time. They also have live (rescued) birds of prey and reptile and amphibian exhibits.

it a good place I went there to find all the camp sites but only found 2 the one that had of the map thing on the trials was not there but it's very nice going camping and fishing there soon

Great trail for distance running or biking but nothing too extravagant about this one. Perfect for dog walking.

Really nice trail! Great views, trail is super easy to follow and on top of it you can check out Fort Macon while your there!!

I go on this trail all the time, great trail, dog friendly

kind of boring.

Nice easy trail near where I live so it was a nice find on the app. Flat terrain except for a few tree roots exposed on a few of the trail routes. A few of the trails had a few puddles from the rain the day before but nice none the less. Highly recommend for a nice quiet hike with a group or just alone as I did it.

This trail is a flat hard packed sandy soil surface trail that runs 5 miles between Erwin and Dunn, NC. The address I got off this site was not correct. The correct address to find the trailhead in Erwin is 115 E. H St, Erwin, NC. The 13 St address takes you somewhere else.

This flat trail is probably about 8 feet wide and has markers at every 1/10 mile telling you how far you are from both the Erwin and Dunn ends of the trail. If you start from Erwin there is parking right there at the trailhead in front of some businesses.

I don't have an address to give you for the Dunn end but we did drive to it and couldn't find any good parking and a family member who lives in Dunn says there are sometimes loose dogs on that end of the trail. I didn't see any loose dogs when I checked it out.

For jogging, walking, or biking this is a nice trail.

Was everything I hoped for in challenge and scenery! Only 2 complaints: I didn’t see any recent reviews mention the $3 daily fee, so wasn’t prepared for that. And only the first loop shows on this app——there’s at least 11 miles to travel, at least 5 untracked in this app. But glad it’s listed here...great find!

I love these trails. Been on the trails out here since the late 90s, they have grown and made constant improvements over the years. Nothing is overly technical or difficult throughout, yet a good challenge if you push your speed. For eastern NC, and as close as the trails are to Greenville, I consider myself lucky.

Big thanks to the folks on the trail management squad from ECVELO, BicyclePost, and all others who have dedicated their time/resources. In the near future, I will be volunteering to assist with trail maintenance.

Beautiful meandering trail through the thick maritime forest, marsh and dunes. Easy hike with diverse terrain and lots of sweeping views. At the midway point, hop over to the public swim area for a beach front lunch break. Easily completed in 1.25 to 1.50 hrs.

Very nice trail. Dog friendly, bike friendly, good scenery and well maintained. Great Job Fayetteville.
