I walk this loop 3-5 times a week primarily early in the morning when it is the least crowded. Stone Mountain is such a beautiful place if you like to run or walk. I have taken so many beautiful sun rise pictures. Just love this special place.❤️

be ready to ascend and descend some extensive trails

Nice and Easy !

A completely different side of Stone Mountain Park. Get away from the crowds and enjoy the scenery. You might just forget you’re at a park.

Epic!!!! Don’t miss this incredible adventure!!!

A fun hike, but it lacks a view and a “payoff” for the climb.

Really enjoyed my walk here. Beautiful scenery. Lots of people but still quiet enough. Loved it!

Great easy trail. A little hiking on the wildlife trail. I came across two Doe a deer, a female deer ... you know the rest

We have hiked up and down 2miles, then around the mountain on the Cherokee white trail. This weekend will be 4 weekends in a row. It has some good variety. 6.61miles total is a good morning workout. Then we head to Decatur for a Farm Burger. Makes a great Saturday.

You will love this mountain! Exhilarating and lots of amazing pictures! Don't miss the laser show and don't bring the family in the rain!

Great trail. Many options to take on the trial. Visiting from another state. I would recommend it but put mosquito spray on before you ride. They were out today.

I doubt I would be paying to an entrance fee to ride my bike. Not worth it with so many other trails nearby

very beautiful trail in woods with lake / river view.

great views easy climb

Great place to ride-at least on a Monday afternoon. Solitude.
Started at Stonecrest Mall but was away from hustle & bustle quick.
Lots of visual distraction. Wildlife, geology, hum of tires. No photos due to phone mounted & riding, but lots of wow.
New to biking, do terminology may be off. Steep & short hills so I got off the seat a lot. Nice change of pace from silver comet,

Nice shaded path for running. Very busy on the weekends, but the trails are wide enough for everyone. Off the wide main paths, there are smaller trails for biking and people who want a more strenuous hike.

very well marked trails. we started on the Cherokee trail (not too many people) and used the connection and when up the mountain and the continue with the rest of the trail 7 miles. Beautiful sceneries it will be worth it.

This a great trail filled with changing scenery. Staying on the white blaze to the green and to orange connector is a much easier hike as opposed to going across the mountain to complete the loop

Park as soon as you turn off Old Alabama for the 1.4 mile hiking trail - easy walk in wooded area. Drawback was the drone of traffic in the background and rather monotonous scenery.

You can definitely tailor this trail to your liking with regards to length and intensity. There are several hiking and mountain biking trails off the main gravel path (where this trail starts and ends) where you can play with the intensity of your hike. This connects to the Sope Creek and Cochran trails to the north. I would highly recommend taking the side paths, it’s beautiful through the woods!

Another user commented about the grave site. Sarah Ansley and her sister are the two visible graves. Apparently there are another 3-4 that have since crumbled but which memorialized her husband and their children. The sisters outlived their husbands and lived on the spot until their deaths. Interesting!

Nice, easy, and scenic. We went on a chilly day, so the paths were rather empty.

Awesome trail, extremely pretty, but not very well marked, except around the lake and boardwalk, although it is still fun to navigate with AllTrails. The lake is beautiful and the hike is a gradual incline. If you do this loop you will definitely enjoy yourself. Basically a smaller Stone Mountain with more greenery and a lake. Just be careful not to step in the little pockets of silt on the mountain, those actually contain seeds of a little red plant called diamorpha.

Great place go several times a week and do the trail two times! Great place to do everyday training for thru hikes when you live in the city. Strap on your full pack and do a 10 plus mile shack down!

Super cool and unique hike. The face/surface of the mountain is like a different planet. Dog loved splashing through all the little pools of water

This is a nice trail. it is well marked. You go from level to uphill to downhill. You walk over gravel, dirt, granite and roots. It intersects the walk up trail which is a nice feature. I will hike it again.
