Not super hard, but if you are 50 like me you need to be in shape. I did it without issue. I have seen many average cars on the road in and they don’t have issues with it, but if you only have 3 or 4 inches of clearance don’t try the drive in.

Easy hike. You need to take the side trails for most of the waterfalls and balds. A lot of day hikers. Many camping sites but only saw one other set of campers that day/night

Pretty views of the waterfall and canyon are easy to get to! Great hike to do with kids!

Well worth the effort. Only a few other people on the trail and had the falls all to myself.

Really interesting trail, but very populated. It's an easy hike with a lot to see and several spots for the pups (and you) to swim. The bridge over the James River was a really cool way to start and end the trip. The structures and rock wall along the way were really cool places to explore and take photos. I'd say it's more of an urban walk than a hike, though. We had to park a bit up the road (parking is very limited, especially for how busy it is) and in total "hiked" just over 3 miles from start to finish.

Great trail, well maintained and ability to see 4 falls if you know where to look!

Favorite trail in pisgah! We hike this one every visit. Lots of little creek crossings and just a cool environment. Lightly traveled, we usually only come across just a few people. Dog loves it. We typically start from the Buckhorn Gap trailhead.

Went there today, 7/22/18. Could not find the trail for the falls. Checked in at the little store in the campgrounds...they said the trail was closed due to fire damage.

Great trail just to get out and about. Very easy. Make it longer by walking the Buttermilk trail to Belle Isle.

Very neat trail. Shaded and a lot of historical pieces along the trail. Bring water and bug spray!

Had a blast there this past weekend

Very pretty, loved the small waterfalls and sandy beach areas to chill. Saw a bear cub, luckily momma bear didn't appear. Diverse terrain. Lots of trails that can be confusing. Make sure you have a good map!

really excited about the hike but could not figure out the loop for anything. I'll try again with a map. trail not blazed well.

lightly marked but the paths are clear. it was an awesome day hike and I was glad to see a bunch of people out hiking the trails aswell.

Great views of the James River. Fantastic place to go for an afternoon stroll. Pack a lunch and enjoy a superb river view from downtown Richmond.

Some bouldering or mountain biking can be thrown in for an extra fun element.

Beautiful place to go to! Walk further down another trail and you can get to Martha’s falls and jump off cliffs!! Great adventure

Our family favorite

I would rate this trail an overall moderate one. Nothing too difficult, beautiful views around the lake! It's a great trail for training or trail running. The only strenuous part I'd say is the foot traffic only portion of Brissy ridge. Overall decent hike, wish there more views.

One of the only hikes in table rock state park that you won’t be surrounded by other hikers the entire time. Beginner - Intermediate level hike. Don’t miss the trail head to the falls, trail right, immediately after the creek crossing. The hike up is breath taking, steep creek with granite cliffs and boulder gardens surrounding. Don’t be a pack mule, be sure to get off trail and look around. Caves, swimming holes, and so much more to be had here .

A decent trail until you get off onto the spur. Overgrown with nettles at your ankles (hiked in June) Fallen trees block your way on the spur and it’s hard to traverse in general. No views either.

Great loop - challenging for someone new, lots of roots and turns, all canopy, really liked it.

Nice waterfalls in the Pisgah National Forest near Brevard, NC

Completed a full 7.5 mile loop with a group of 5, varying in experience and fitness level. The only “view” was of the lake, no waterfalls or anything of the like. Still a beautiful hike. Overall a good experience, will do it again.

DO NOT ATTEMPT WITHOUT A HIGH CLEARANCE VEHICLE

Trail was covered in horse scat and flies plus the trail was heavily trafficked but... it was a beautiful place and we really enjoyed the beautiful south fork mills river.

Great hike, not as easy for us older folks, but well worth it. There are a lot of trees fallen across the trail. In one spot the trail is totally obscured. We tried to follow the track on Alltrails and still ended up off trail. We eventually spotted the trail below us, the descent back down to it was steep. Following the trail back it was not hidden.
