Loved this trail! We started at the Klapperthal Rd entrance(the road says no outlet, at the end there's parking)
it looks around the mounting with a beautiful view after about 3/4 mile. Just after the lookout(on your left) on the right there is a big cliff that you can climb up a small trail to an even better lookout. Be careful when going off the trail to the rocks, it can be a bit slippery because of the wet leaves!
The portion of the trail that we hiked was pretty flat, with some smaller inclines here and there.
We took out dog and she loved it!
At the "end" there is a gate where we stopped, but I believe you can follow the trail up to the right, just not sure about the terrain on that section.

Great trail

Best horseback riding

This is just a glorified asphalt walking trail in a scenic area. It’s pretty but the asphalt and crowds are a deterrent

i really enjoyed the route. it was gravel in parts, paved for some and a wooden walkway for others. you can hear the highway in all parts of the trail. nice 4 mile mid morning jaunt for us

Not really a hike but it's a decent walk around the lake, fairly flat. I've seen snapping turtles and snakes here. The boardwalks are cool but very slippery when wet. It's in the city so you do have city and highway noise.

This map is misleading as it starts you on the Exeter Trail which is 2.5 miles of flat trail next to the Schuylkill River before you get to the actual Neversink Loop. If you want to skip the extra 5 miles, look for the Klapperthal parking lot in your GPS. That said, the flat portion was lovely and a very easy walk. The day I did this I only hiked up to Witches’ Hat, and I missed a sign about a closed trail due to hunting (there was a large branch covering it). There are a bunch of side trails here so I suggest checking out the Neversink Mountain Preserve website online to see all of them. There is personal property mixed in as well, so just be aware of that.

This is a great place to enjoy nature. The path around the lake is flat and the lake is a pleasant site. Features of this trail include a short path that goes into the woods, picnic areas, views of a neighboring meadow and field, a dam, and the lake. Many people walk their dogs, go fishing, and kayaking.

An abundance of historical value while walking with my wife and two schnauzers.

great surface...great views..we ran only 5 miles on it but enjoyed the run!

A nice and relaxing trail. It's scenic and close to town.

Wish they had a bike rental store in this location. Would really inspire people to experiment the great outdoors and spectate this extraordinary historical sight.

Good hot summer day trail, lots of shade

Not well marked and not toddler friendly. My parents are also a bit older and the trails being unmarked caused them to get easily lost.

Excellent trail. Take the bus from Jim Thorpe to White Haven or make reservations on the scenic bike train to get to White Haven. Pack a lunch and plenty of water and enjoy your bike ride back to Jim Thorpe. It is a great 25 mile ride through scenic views and many mini waterfalls. My husband and I do this trip 1-3 times per year. It is well worth our 90 minute drive to Jim Thorpe from NJ.

Great place to bring kids of all ages. Trail is flat and fast. It runs along the creek. Well manicured and heavily traveled.

Easy walk with a few hills. We did see quite a bit of wildlife (deer, turtles, muskrat, frogs, birds, and fish) but the traffic noise made the trail drop in points. We completed the walk with our 7 year old and will look to explore others in the area.

it was very relaxing with a nice view of the River

Nice clean trail. Had to keep a watch out for bikers coming up from behind. Loved the goats and gnome village as well as the Dick Winters memorial and statue port o potty was full on a Saturday.

This was a good trail with minimal views the first portion of the hike is gravel and very easy flat walk to get to the trail. The hike we did was about 8 Miles not sure how somebody seems to have walked a lot further and it was labeled a 10 mile. I would recommend starting closer and enjoying more of in the woods trail portion of these trails. Don’t mind the end of my map I got in my car and left before turning off the recording. I stopped where I started.

Lovely ride. The trail is mostly flat and shady and passes under a covered bridge at the heritage center where there are bathrooms and a snack bar. The main drawback was the mosquitoes. Bring your repellent!

Conveniently in the city... with typical city background noise. Towpath Trail was fairly flat and well maintained. Lots of wildlife and vegetation to help you forget that you’re in the city. Got busier after “normal” work hours.

nice walk, nice veiws

This is not a real trail....there are no trail marks on trees to follow...this is made up

I live a long this trail and respect every aspect of living on a trail. It’s such a special thing to be a part of and I make every element of a trail a part of my life and family’s lifestyle. Beautiful trail and great for running and bike riding. I have road my bike the entire distance and love it. I have ran half of the trail which is great to run because it is shaded and cool. Great for dogs and kids too!

Our first hiking experience. It was a good trail to be the first!
