When I first moved to Colorado 4 years ago, I rode from Westminster to Golden in the first week. I remember entering this trail and cruising toward the mountain on it, in and out of the trees, and just being in awe of this state's natural beauty, even in the city areas.

One of the best places for a leisurely bike ride in Longmont. Not many people. It passes right by Golden Ponds, so that is a fun detour. On a still day, the ponds photograph really well with Longs Peak towering in the distance. The long stretches at the eastern end, right before the Weld County side, can be quite exposed and intimidating in the summer heat.

Fun dirt trail through many cities/neighborhoods of the Front Range. Good views of the mountains and nice terrain to keep a good pace.

Super dope! So many trails and beautiful scenery!

Amazing hike, wonderful people and peaceful.

great tranquil area. fun to sup if you go during the week or paddle to the far side of the reservoir. you can park in the neighborhood and there's gates so you don't have to pay!

I went at the beginning of October. There was little traffic and the weather was very cooperative. Lots of amazing views!

Absolutely beautiful drive with stunning views, especially at the top. I drove with my windows down and was disappointed in the smell from all the car fumes.Alot of traffic so go during the week and early.

Views were great, but there was a lot of traffic. Very easy drive.

Road bike is pushing it, hybrid or mountain bike better suited. Thick loose gravel in parts. Nice ride overall with beautiful scenery. Saw a few snakes on the trail but they were small, no need to let that scare you off.

Great ride with beautiful views! Went clockwise on trail which has you coming down the long hill on highway instead of going up. Free parking at Marina or a trailhead behind Holiday Inn.

The summit for Mount Evans is close to 14,200 feet and is apparently the highest paved road in North America. There are tons of beautiful lookouts on the drive and we completed this as the leaves were beginning to turn. If you are afraid of heights (like me), definitely let someone else do the driving...

Whoa, what a find. Lovely morning ride, the trail has a little bit of everything—wooded river bottom, urban detour, farmland, open fields— and cap it off with a lunch at Vern’s before heading back! Highly recommend for great leisurely ride.

A very good trail for a north/south route to cycle through the city safely while avoiding traffic. Pretty well maintained, though the further south you go, the more numerous the homeless camps become. For the most part, a side from their trash, I've never had any issues with any of the transient population. A big improvement would be if there were a connecting trail from the Greenway Trail to the Centennial Campus of PPCC. The only ways there now involve dangerous traffic on roads with minimal shoulder space.

well maintained, lovely, pretty mellow -- kids may need to walk parts

This is a pretty nice trail. Nothing spectacular, but it’s a good time.

I never tire of the view from the top. Great drive. Even better climb, but I am sure that it is somewhat of a sore spot when you go through all of the hard work to summit this 14teener only to see a giant parking lot at the top. Ha-ha!

Didn’t love the road noise. Trail was broken up and went through town. Had to cross the river to find any real trail, but then I wasn’t near the river.

We started at Littleton and walked North towards Denver on a Saturday morning. While there is gravel next to pavement for the duration of the trail, this is heavily used by road bikers. Don’t expect great nature or scenic views but instead focus on the ease of walking. We had a stroller with us so no complaints from a family with a small child. These is extremely sparse shad so make sure to bring your hat and sunscreen.

I started at Palmer Lake this morning at 7:30am going South stopped at Ice Lake at the Air Force Academy ate my PB & J sandwich while overlooking the Lake (so serine) mounted my bike and continued South to my Rondevu point Trader Joe’s parking lot where my wife scooped me up . It was approximately 20 miles it took 2 1/2 hours taking my time.. no problem whatsoever traverse then on to the Air Force Base it is permissible as long as you’re not carrying weapons and stay on the trail... this trailer is very nice for runners individuals like myself just getting some miles in on my bicycle.. I would most definitely do it again ...

This was such a fun and gorgeous trail. We will definitely look forward to coming back.

Very nice, wide concrete trail. Some moderate hills. Next to an unincorporated area with very large lots and interesting homes. Historic trail with a fun story.
