loved the trail. It starts at high elevation, think about 9300 but didn't feel any different. The views are just fantastic. Blue lake is beautiful but had lots of people around. We went further to Dingleberry lake which was amazing and a lot less crowded(adding a little unintended detour on the way as well), clocked about 9.8 miles. It was too late to continue further to midnight lake but that is just another mile or so further for those who start out earlier than we did.

A second trip to this wonderful place is in store with the family. Went with the Fresno Fly Fishers for Conservation and this hike to long lake was awesome. Highly recommend for all ages.

I loved this hike so much. Not difficult at all, absolutely beautiful, bring a picnic and hang out! However, I would call this heavily trafficked, not moderately. I went on a Sunday and parking was a nightmare. Definitely go early.

Great, well marked trail. A bit of variance as far as distance; we both logged 7.0 miles RT but it was super fun. We left at noon and were back at 3:45.We saw exactly 5 people on the way up and 0 on the way down. A couple had dogs who seemed happy! We had a bit of rain on the way down but it made it all the more adventurous. Gorgeous scenery, lakes and wildflowers. A real nice day hike.

We had a beautiful day on this trail! This was our second year doing it but the first year we went to Donkey Lake (awesome!). Today we hiked past Blue Lake and on to Dingleberry Lake. We started at 11:00 and got back to the trailhead at 4:30. (8.66 miles). GPS is a little off from what is listed in the description (about 3.0 miles to Blue Lake).
Lots of backpackers heading up and back while we were there. The trail was absolutely gorgeous and lined with wildflowers and smelled like vanilla, honeysuckle, sage and pine. We had some rain when we reached our end point so turned back. Be prepared for light or moderate showers in the afternoon, even if it says 20% chance! Great trail for people who are in good shape and love the outdoors!

Great trail. Not too bad of a hike. It was a little further than the 2.5 miles it says it to be one way. It’s closer to 3-3.5 one way. Beautiful the whole way.

I logged 3.4 miles in and 3.2 miles out. this is not 5 miles round trip like it shows. I was closer to the trailhead than where this track is actually located, so if anything it should have been shorted. the hike was pretty easy. I had about 30-40 pounds in my pack. didn't have problems with the elevation until I got to the top and sat down. Started getting light headed and dizzy. the hike up is beautiful and the view at the top is gorgeous. next time up there I am planning to camp overnight.

Great Trail! Lots of ferns and shaded areas. The bridge is still down passed Bailey’s Bridge. Bring a lot of bug spray and I highly suggest mosquito nets, they are BAD!

stunning views, clear blue skies with some big white cumulus- essentially no mosquitoes. Did have difficulty finding the trail after the first 2 lakes- essentially hiked up edge of water fall with some bushwacking where bushes have overgrown trail- well worth the effort

Nice easy hike that’s relatively flat the entire way. The highlight of this trail is Bailey’s Bridge. Lots of sandy river bed areas to enjoy a break and a swim. We started at the trailhead by the Road’s End ranger station and went up to Mist Falls. After descending from Mist Falls, we decided to return by taking the other half of the loop on the south side of the river. Lots of gnats and mosquitoes though.

great hike and excellent fishing. snow in the spring and multple water falls.

Decent amount of parking. Was warm but not too hot. Trails aren't marked too well but is easy to follow. A few spots to fill up on water on the way up. Lots of amazing views all around.

Beautiful hike! The trail is nice in that it has some switch backs that are spread throughout some meandering paths. Lots of water with at least one waterfall and stunning views of Sabrina.

Definitely need to stay hydrated - even though much of the hike is in the trees it is draining. Blue Lake is over 10,000 feet, so be careful if you are not ready for the altitude.

Has anybody done Bishop Pass or Treasure Lakes recently? I'm worried about the air quality. Does anybody know how it is up there?

Tough hike with heavy packs due to steep elevation climb (2k gain in under 3 miles), seems to be much more enjoyable when just day hiking. took us 5.5 hrs to get to the 3rd lake due to our pack loads. once arrived we found the perfect camp site close to a good moving stream that connects all the lakes. good fishing, brown and rainbow trout. dog friendly area, not much foot traffic, limited camp sites which in turn means not too many people should you be looking for a place of solitude. mosquitos were not bad at all as long as you bring a good bug spray (we used deet free bug repellent and had no problems). second day we ventured to the 4th lake and went swimming and fishing.....was too tired to try lake number 5. this is a must backpacking trip with lots of scenery and wildlife.

Tough hike with heavy packs but seems to be much more enjoyable as a day hike. Took us 5.5 hours to get to the 3rd lake due to our loads. Once arrived we found the perfect camp site close to a good moving stream which provided our water source for the duration of our stay. Good fishing, rainbow and brown trout. Dog friendly area and lots of day hikers with dogs. Mosquitos weren’t as bad as I was led to believe. Bring a good bug Spray and you’ll be fine.

My favorite hike of our vacation. Beautiful scenery.

We arrived at 8 AM on a Thursday at the end of July and the parking lot was half full.

Such a beautiful trail! Well groomed! Beautiful wild flowers surrounding all over + the lovely sound of the rushing water. And then the most spectacular views at the lake! This is a must trail for all!

Great trail! Easy with kids. Absolutely gorgeous views. We stopped along the way and our boys drank water from the stream, swam in the lakes and wadded in the streams. It was a great time.

Great hike for me and my three boys. Intended to get to Upper but outflow was higher than I wanted. Hiking in soaking shoes and socks would not have been fun. Caught lots of 6-7 brookies on elk hair caddis.

Gorgeous lake, beautiful scenery, easy hike, great fishing what more could you ask for?

it's a beautiful hike into God's country.

just love this place . it's a beautiful hike into God's country.

Rain and hail so be prepared

Easy hike to a beautiful lake.

Challenging in the heat, but worth it for the views.

I saw a sign with madlock on it but no flower lake sign. It was a moderate but beautiful hike for me
