its a good solid hike but its too rocky for me. the lake was stunning and worth it...

Gorgeous scenery and awesome hike but tougher than you’d think for 13 miles. Once you get to the first lake, keep left to go to the second lake. If you go to the right you have to do a major detour and cross several creeks. Also watch out for moose.

Incredible hike! We completed this as a long day hike, which was certainly doable, although a bit much for one day (adding in time at the Twin Lakes for fishing). We will probably pack in and camp next time. The hike is definitely longer than 10.3 RT. Not counting a slight detour where we lost the trail briefly, my tracker showed 6.25-6.5 miles in, making for over 12 miles RT. The hike in took us right around 3 hours including some stops for snacks. It is definitely work the trek, as the Lost Lakes are absolutely incredible and the meadows along the way are stunning as well. Keep an eye out for moose, and be sure to bring your fishing gear... These lakes (esp Lost Lakes) are teeming with some good sized trout!

Good trail for a day hike.

Cool

One of our favorite hikes in the Bighorns. This area is rich in scenery, wildlife and trails to hike.

Beautiful hike, steep climb in some spots, heavily trafficked

Great hike!!! Beautiful lakes!! Not many people :)

Great hike! Beautiful lakes! Wooded so not a lot of views along the way, but a great hike with very few people!

Short hike to a lake with a nice view. A little elevation gain on the way to the lake but nothing really tough. The way back is mostly downhill and relatively easy.

Bring bug spray. Overall great hike. We backpacked and stayed overnight at Lost Twin.

Nice trail, great lakes. Step off the trail a bit though for the really great vistas. If you don't leave the trail at all, you'll miss the best views.

amazing hike, a bit longer than described, nearly 3miles of boulder hoping to reach summit. views from summit were unbeatable.

ok trail, nice lakes, somewhat uninspiring.

Great trail. Not too difficult until you get to the base on the mountain and then it gets a little more challenging. Bugs were terrible in July. Bring bugs spray and nets.

Like dozens of others, used this as base camp for Cloud Peak. Be on the lookout for moose at 5am and, the even more majestic, skeeter swarms the rest of the day!

Beautiful conditions in Cloud Peak wilderness on 6 July 2018.
Since I had the dog with me, we avoided all snow since we were postholing at 6am.
Allow ample time to allow route finding since the ridge is mostly unmarked (I might have missed some cairns by switchbacking round snow) and to get off the long, boulder ridge because storms roll in early.
Go get it!

Great little hike. Bring a towel & swim trunks for a dip in the lake

My first thought in reviewing this hike was that it was ‘moderate’ in effort. It’s a far cry from ‘easy.’ The trail was scattered the entire way with lots of rocks, and there were some uphill climbs followed by flat parts. Basically if you haven’t hiked in awhile, your legs and feet might be sore the next day. With that said, the hike was gorgeous and the lakes were pristine. You start at the parking lot on 46 until you see the cutoff for trail 47. You do not see trail 47 until you pass the first lake which is Sherd Lake. Stay to the right on the trail that continues to a fork which you must follow 91 (take the trail to the left) to find Lost Lake. We did the whole route in about 2.5 hours with some time at Lost Lake for lunch.

Great hike, from Sherd Lake, take a right continue on until 47 and then left on 91. Long Lake was beautiful, one river crossing but pretty easy hike!

Well I can tell this trail is excellent. I did not make it to Willow Lake because of being called in to work. My trail on this app and my Garmin were not accurate. When you get to the trail junction at the base of Sherd Lake DO NOT take a left unless you want to be tree jumping, bushwhacking, and jumping over boulders. My Garmin with topo maps and trails, and this app showed me I was on the trail. Maybe it was an old trail location. Regardless the off trail travel was fun and adventurous if you’re into that kind of thing. Looking forward to going back. 06/24/18 off and on rain and quite a few mosquitoes. Dress appropriately.

Good trail, but hampered by the mist! Start and finish are the toughest. 2hrs 35minutes all told with a little picnic stop. Rainy lake genuinely does appear to rain in the vicinity of the lake
