Wonderful hike! Just enough water to make the crossings interesting and challenging.

Very nice trail. It is well maintained and beautifully constructed. The views at the top are magnificent!

Fun trail and beautiful views

Go at dusk. The sunset is majestic. Hiking back in the dark is good fun!

Very good hike. Stream running enough to make getting to end both wet and enjoyable.

Interesting when getting close to the Window, but the first few (and last few) miles can get really hot and feel pretty long.

Absolutely gorgeous view from the top. Super worth it!

Short easy trail, beautiful rock formations!

Beautiful hike! Bears are sited!

It’s was a really fun trail to explore. Beautiful scenery.

I really enjoyed this hike. I'm pretty new to hiking, but relatively fit. I live at sea level, so the altitude was a bit of challenge too.

The first leg of this hike is the most difficult. The hike up the Pinacles is steep, full of switchbacks, and long enough to make you work for it. That said, there are some stunning vistas of the rest of the Chisos mountains.

Once you complete the first leg, you get to the splinter off for Emory Peak. This was an easier leg, but still challenging, especially towards the end. I was racing a thunderstorm up the mountain, and wish I had a little more time at the top.

The last 50 feet or so was pretty challenging for me. I have a 'healthy' fear of heights, and it took a lot of nerve for me to actually get up on the mountain. The view is something else though.

After you summit, the remainder of the hike is almost all down hill. The short leg of the Colima trail has a bit of climb, but it's not bad.

I did this hike in Early October, and there was quite a bit of cloud cover. I still went through almost 5L of water. Bring lots of water. I was able to complete the loop in a little under 6 hours, but I was really pushing it on the way up.

Definitely a challenging hike but worth the views at the top! Climb to the very peak if you are brave enough - it’s beautiful! We did this on a rather warm day in September; thankfully it got cooler the further we went up, but the way back we definitely felt the heat. We started at 1030am and we were back around 4 or 430. Total time of actual hiking was about 4 1/2 hours (we are in our 30’s and do CrossFit.. we booked it on the way back..don’t get me wrong though, this was a tough hike!)

Great trail with plenty of shade along the way & not as difficult of a scramble to the peak as anticipated. Did this trail first in the morning then completed Lost Mine trail.

Good trail with great views. Also saw a black bear from a distance, but it didn't get close.

Magnificent views, and a good chance to see a black bear.

A good decent workout with great views! Saw a black bear sow and cubs. Signs of Moutain lion. Clouds swirling around Casa Grande at sunset were sublime.

Incredible hike. Great for morning. Make sure to wear good footwear and be aware that you may get wet!

Today was my second time attempting this hike. Last year, I hiked it at the beginning of August and it was about 72 degrees. It was breezy, so it was bearable! Amazing views the entire way. The top was the best part. Today we encountered a lot of clouds/ mist, so we only went up to the mile mark. However, just before we got onto the trail, we came face to face with a bear just past the parking lot. Due to the excessive rain/ time of year, the bears are more active (an abundance of berries etc)! One of the best hikes in the park!

Fantastic hike if you are looking for an afternoon or morning hike in Big Bend. There is an excellent view just a mile up or so at a saddle if you are in a big hurry, but the view from the top is even better. The hike starts with a light to moderate incline through pinyon pine forest before climbing some steeper switchbacks towards the end. In early March, temperatures were in the mid 70s with low humidity. It can get breezy since you are in a mountain gap however, so be prepared.

My awesome 9yo son John said “it was pretty cool”.

This is our first time to Big Bend. The views from the Window Trail were amazing! Had to deal with a little flooding, not a biggie tho. Overall great experience. .

Great hike with views from in the basin up towards the walls of the surrounding peaks. Spotted lots of wildlife on this trail including roadrunners, rattlesnake, and a bear. Another hiker said they spotted a golden eagle and I could hear something above but never saw it. Started from the bottom of the campground so that took some mileage off and the change in elevation is spread out over the whole hike so it never seems too tough. GPS has distance at 4.9 miles and took just over 1 hour each way.

Fantastic hike through the forested north side of casa grande. The guide said you only need to hike about a mile to get one of the best views in the park and I couldnt agree more. Ended up going all the way to the top and enjoyed the rest of the hike but the views didnt get much better since some rain showers and fog made visibility drop considerably. Took about 3 hours round trip. 2 hours up and 1 hour to come down. My GPS showed the distance as 5 miles total
