Great trial. Probably would rate this moderate instead of easy. With all the leaves on the trial. It’s hard to see all the rocks on the trial.

Took the Orange trail up to the summit. My sister and I found it kinda difficult but we only go hiking once a month or so. Great views once your up there. Took the white and blue trail down and did a couple miles. White and blue were not hard. All the trails are very well marked!

We were visiting Gettysburg and found this trail via AllTrails app. Was a great Spring hike.

Nice trail, heavy rains left a stream to cross. Lots of rocks to walk on.

Beautiful views on the blue trail! We got a little turned around at the white rock viewpoint but eventually found our way back to the trail. Would definitely hike this trail again!

Loved this hike! The trails were very well marked and signage was posted accordingly. I would rate this as moderate. I started off counter clockwise and found this helpful as I went up the rockier parts and did not have as many rocks going down. That being said it is still a rocky trail. Loved seeing chimney rock and wolf rock. I would definitely like to return.

Easy quick hike with a couple of great over look spots and picnic tables right on one. Great for children and dogs.

Great hike clear markings
Got the hike in before the rain

Beautiful park and scenery!

Doing this counterclockwise is the best suggestion. But, don't tell anyone that isn't on AllTrails! Good, challenging hike. We did this in 6.7 miles / 3hr 43min because we did a few side excursions. Highly recommended.

We hiked the blue trail and it was a lovely hike!

Great hike. Loved some of the views. The markings could have been a lil better but over all would do this again.

Some nice views and facilities. The trail is very well marked.

After a friend of ours bought property in the Catoctin mountains, my husband fell in love with it. Few months ago, we took a trip to Gettysburg and decided to spontaneously get tattoos. He got Chimney Rock inside his tattoo even though we have never seen it. Last weekend, we took the trail and saw it for the first time and it was breath-taking.

Nice variety of trail loops with same great views.

Nice, shaded walk. It's a loop, so half of the hike will be pretty flat/downhill/easy, while the second half heads back uphill and is challenging. Picnic tables along the way for lunch, and not heavily trafficked. We brought our dog and she loved it.

Good trail, good view. But too many mosquitoes, and the markers are inapparent and confusing.

This was a fun trail. Definitely not as hard as the label would make it out to be.

very nice trail, ample parking to be had. went on a sunday morning and the main area/main overlook was PACKED. if you want some time to yourself and pictures i suggest going off weekend. once you get out of the main overlook the trails are good and much less congested. the two overlooks in the back had no one there and i was able to eat lunch solo. sugarloaf also gets points for trail markers along the trails not just at the crossroads. that was a nice touch.

Beautiful nature but poorly marked blazes on parts of the blue trail. At one point we may not have been on the trail at all as the path was very overgrown and narrow on the east side of the mountain.

I did this trail while rehabbing my knee after injuring it on a trampoline and I did well with two hiking sticks to aid me. The views were pretty awesome and I saw a blue heron fly upstream when he was spooked by the fire and rescue boats that were doing rescue drills. There were only a few rock scrambles along the way which weren't that difficult to navigate. I started early, beating the steady flow of tourists that came later, even on a Monday.... loved having the trail and lookouts mostly to myself. I did meet a few nice people along the way. The history of the falls and the canals was pretty interesting.

Great hike. If you take the left trailhead it’s about a mile uphill. Good workout. Great bouldering at wolf rock and beautiful view at chimney rock. Lots of rock jutting out on trail. We took time outs at both wolf and chimney and did the loop in 2 hr 30 min. Will be back!

Beautiful hike. I got lost but managed to find myself back on a trail! Found a rattle snake so be aware of your surroundings. Happy hiking :)

This is a beautiful forested trail with some moderate climbs. We tacked on a portion of the Thurmond Vista trail for some additional distance and views, cutting back to the visitors center before Wolf rock (roughly 6 miles total). It took us about 2hrs 40 min with some stops to take in the views and the falls. Recommend going counterclockwise.

Good level of challenging, some steep parts but such a well made path it was no problem. Ample parking (with video security), free (with donations recommended), great views and different path options. Overall great hike!

It was a nice hike, well paved. I did get lost a few times and had to backtrack but otherwise it was fun.

Great hike. Fairly easy, but White Rocks( north and south) has scenic views. I will agree some of the markings(blazes) were difficult to see. My wife and I did lose the trail at one point. However, given this property is part of a foundation, I am very thankful we have access to it. Worth the hike.

My husband and I are beginner hikers, we hiked up to Wolf Rock, and really enjoyed it a lot. Chimney Rock is the next destination on this hike!
