I have completed this section of the trail on my bicycle, it is a really pretty section of coyote creek trail in my opinion. Great city trail section for walking, running or paved bike riding but pretty heavy trafficked whenever I have gone, so be aware to look out for people jogging if you are on your bike.

Did this walk for the first time back in August 2018...wanted a longish flat hike, as I have been having knee trouble. This didn’t disappoint. The birds were fantastic with a wide variety on display but a ton of pelicans that were just spectacular.

nice easy walk

Used to run this trail several times a week. lt’s not the most beautiful trail in the Bay Area but the views are nice in the late afternoon. The worst part is that you’re running by the sewage treatment plant on the southern end and on certain days, it’s borderline unbearable. This can be avoided by running toward the north and eastern sides and avoiding the southern end near the treatment plant. Lots of bikers can be annoying if you run along the western edge during busy periods

Great trail for my man and small pup. Lots of beautiful sights and varying terrain.

LOVED THIS TRAIL! Hiked mid morning, most of the trail has shade nice and peaceful and was very beautiful amongst the trees. We saw lots of deer!!! Definitely going to be a regular trail for me!

Nice shaded trail on a hot day. We had fun exploring the historic sites along the trail and we even saw a few deer at the end!

Beautiful agricultural open space in the middle of the big city. Gorgeous view of the hills. Easy walking paths.

Nice flat stroll through the forest at Sanborn County Park. Great for walking the dogs. Note there is very little parking at the Sanborn Rd trailhead.

Great outdoor activities

Moderate crowd of horse riders, trail runners, mountain bikers, and hikers. Steep at times. Great view of Los Gatos and Campbell. Would do it again, parts are shaded, some are really sunny.

Nice, flat, very sunny, easy walk around the Martial Cottle Farm fields. No shade, better in late afternoon or early morning.

A great trail to do with a steep incline. Shaded in some areas, really nice neighborhood to walk in.

Well maintained, clean, and fairly quiet early in the day.

Did this trail twice, turned back around where there’s a little bridge and a bench on the Tony Look Trail. Took my dog with me both times. Be ware of ticks! My dog got a tick the first time but he didn’t get anything after I sprayed him down with tick prevention spray the second time. It’s a nice trail! My dog loves it there. Only “bad” thing is you have to pay for parking.... but there are always spots!

Beautiful trail to watch the sunset.

All sun. good for early morning or cloudy days.

This trail taught me that for me moderate is hard!! The incline was really challenging for me but that probably says more about my fitness level than anything else. Still trail is not really for beginners. It was also quite dry. On the plus side though there were some great views of the valley and we saw a deer.

Very enjoyable trail! Starts off with one big incline up and after that it's easy peasy. Part of the trail is in the residential area. Seeing the big rich houses was nice. I was very thankful for this app to keep on track on the trail. You can finish this in an hour. I also saw a deer on our trail!

It’s a nice walk along the bay and chance to see where they have tried to restore some of the natural wetlands.

Dogs are NOT allowed, even on leashes, on the nicest part of the walk. The portion of the walk starting from the boardwalk, out to the levy and along the water, according to the signage is a no dogs allowed area.

We of course broke the rules.

We love this trail. It’s little hard in the beginning, the trail overall is not hard.

Loved it.!!! The great outdoors

there is a pretty steep incline or decline (depending on which way you start or end.) the views are amazing. nice hike if you're visiting the area and have a couple hours free.

Went with my 5 year old. This was his third hike, first with any significant elevation gain. He was not happy about hiking uphill, but I somehow got him to the trailhead for Black Rock falls and he gladly hiked up to see the waterfall. He was happy from that point forward. I recommend going the south fork of the waterfall loop first, since it gets the kids in the thick of the creek and offers more interesting terrain from the start. Another recommendation: bring extra socks and water shoes! My son got this shoes soaked.
Last warning from me: be prepared for lots of poison oak! It's all over the place and creeps on the trail at times. Pants are recommended for this reason.

prefer this to the quicksilver 5 mile loop trail. dense oak forests cover the hillsides. plenty of shade to tackle even on a hot summer day...
