Gorgeous views of a classic New England lighthouse. Easy, short hike with lots of rocky nooks and crannies to explore.

This is by far my favorite trail in the Boston area especially for evening walk. The sunset view from here is simply sublime and the views is unbeatable. And on windy days you are treated to wind surfers doing stunts on the bay. There is a nice children's playground and a really cool clam shack called Sullivan. I also enjoy watching planes go by at really close level from here.

And from the pier you can see all kinds of boats go in and out of the harbor. I enjoy watching those dinner or party boat cruise go by. The only minus is that it gets much windier than anywhere else in Boston.

I definitely enjoyed hiking here. lots of nice trails to explore

Fun for kids!

If you feel as though you aren’t seeing marks on the trees, don’t worry, keep looking...especially if you see many fallen trees around!

Wasn't at all what I expected. ztook the shuttle, walked .6 miles to parking lot and then down to the shore. Could only see lighthouse if you climbed around others on the rocks. The poor people living there must feel like they are on exhibit. Been there, done that. Wanted ride pools, but there is no way to really see that here.

This is by far my favorite trail in Massachusetts. It's a very easy, relaxing walk with one of the most incredible scenery in the state.

The panorama view of the quarry farm is absolutely breathtaking. I only wish swimming is allow there. And the rocky beach is a sight to behold as well especially for sunset. It is always cool and refreshing at the beach and the water is so rejuvenating.

Again it is too bad you can't swim here. It is much too rocky so you can only wade a bit into the water. I also enjoy just watching sail boats and fishing boats go by.

Wonderful property. Started on north side and went into Trustees property too. All in there must be around 4,000 acres to explore. Worked my way around the pond then headed south to the reservoir and camping area. I wonder why that one area is closed off? Some of the single track is too rooty and rocky for my taste but it's good stuff. Will be back.

Fairly flat walk around Chestnut Hill Reservoir with occasional views of nearby buildings.

This was a little disappointing. Tons of people which makes it hard to see.

Entered at the Pennybrook Road entrance (ample parking) and explored the Undercliff Path, Dungeon Road, Cooke Road, Cornell Path, and Jackson Path. Easy hiking, although watch your footing on some of the rockier trails! Dungeon Rock is very interesting. There is a metal door in the crevice of the rock. The metal stairs inside lead down to a winding tunnel carved out in the 1600s and 1800s (look up the strange history of this place). If you’re going to go down into the tunnel, wear good footwear (slippery) and take a headlamp (dark). Steel Tower is cool too with great views of the surrounding area (including the Boston skyline).

I was in Boston for a conference and looking for a nice, easy trail to ride a rented bicycle. This was a perfect little excursion. It was very easy to get to, the trail is paved, and there are accessible beach areas. There are also public restrooms and a snack bar. Very nice!

Awesome walk along the sea shore on a bunch of slippery rocks. This is the iconic lighthouse of Maine not far from Acadia

Very pleasant, why not?

Light house is at the end of short path. Sunset is nice there but it was swarmed with people and photographers. If you’re peoplephobic this is not the spot to watch the sunset.

We were there mid day during the week at the beginning of May. Only two other people there. Very good opportunity to get some pictures if you climb out on the rocks.

can't believe I spent most of my life hearing about this place but hadn't visited. I really like it... water views, city views. nice place to picnic. play area for kids. paved paths. watch plane activity at Logan.

Super short walk down the stairs. Can be an absolute zoo anytime near sunrise or sunset with cars lined up for a quarter mile waiting for a parking space to open up. Save your sanity and just leave if the cars are lined up on the road.

pretty nice hike, paths aren't fully marked and lots of unleashed dogs.

Great place to take a run or sit on the bench and read a book...

Short trail. Crowded at sunset but worth it to catch an iconic glimpse of Acadia.

Really enjoyed the trails. Ended up doing a 5 mile hike zig zagging down many of the trails that cut through the main circle loop shown on the map.

excellent trail with self-guided info about the quarry. We walked through after a snowstorm... Beautiful.

Love walking here with the pups no matter what time of year!

I run this route regularly and love the ocean views. There were a few puddles along the route today that were leftover from (I'm guessing) a snowstorm that happened a few weeks ago. A lot of families will walk around this route when the weather is nice enough (e.g. today there were a lot of families and it was 45 degrees and sunny). I don't usually see wildflowers, but sometimes there are kite surfers (who can be carried maybe 20 feet up in the air) and Fort Independence is a cool place to visit too.

Excellent easy hike. Didn’t do this exact trail but did 4.5 mile loop so hit the metal (fire?) tower & stone tower

Can you swim in the quarry?

Highly recommend a visit and hike. Also dog friendly for dog walks. Every season is different and has something to offer. Fall is my favorite, especially late September to late October. The 2nd to 3rd weeks in October on Cape Ann here usually the peak weeks for the autumn foliage display.

Great MTB trails and awesome pump track. The good mountain bike trails can be difficult to find but after a couple of trips it is easy to get the lay of the land.
