Really enjoyed this trail, the first ascent is a difficult scramble. I would call that part hard, but the rest is smooth sailing. Def recommend.
Amazing! Duh!
This mostly paved trail was fun for the kids and cool to explore. I can’t believe I haven’t been there before!
Continued on with a small loop that brought us over Breakneck Brook. 3mi in all. Easy, fun and beautiful view of the Hudson.
The peak is reached at about mile 1.5-2 and the rest is a downhill, somewhat rocky, leisurely walk. Highly recommend stopping by Little Stony Point after to watch the sunset on the shore.
So fun! Lots of rock scrambling, beautiful stream w waterfall Bc of yesterday’s rain. Great stuff!
Scaling the rocks/scrambling at the first half of the hike was much more difficult than expected. This was more than "moderate". But folks along the trail supported one another which was a life saver and beautiful to see.
tough trail
Beautiful, easy trail , lots of fun stuff to explore , especially if you’re bringing a little one along . The trail makes you feel as if you’re in a storybook , very peaceful , many opportunities to educate your child about different things , nature , wildlife , the story behind the Cornish estates , etc.. there are several nice spots to plop down and have a nice picnic along the way . I highly recommend this trail .
Nice easy hike with some views
Very pretty with some lovely views and pretty woods walking. Also very popular, so be prepared for some loud groups.
Extremely busy trail. Cars lined up down the street after about 10am. Recommend starting by 8.
Easy family walk. Cool place to explore a different time.
3/27/2021. R. What a workout. Great views. Not too wet. We took white to yellow to red to blue.
Lovely trail. Brought myself, my 12 + 9 year old siblings, and my 70 year old grandparents. Physically challenging but not impossible. Beautiful views. Great hike all around and will do again :)
Well marked but crowded.
Super busy on a Saturday afternoon in march! I parked in town and walked 15 minutes to the trailhead, which was uphill on the way back. The trail felt a little bit too busy where multiple trails met, but about half way through there was a mile or so of quiet. Also checking out the ruins of the mansion on the way back was really great!
do NOT come here they blocked off the parking area with rails and blocked the side of the roads with cones and no parking signs everywhere. you cannot come here to enjoy the marsh you will be disappointed. screw whoever won't allow us here.
When you first start, the trail to the right goes all the way up the mountain which is a little hefty but we cut back to the beginning to go to the trail on the left for the ruins & it was so nice!!
Conditions were great, first hour is all incline but pretty easy after that. Muddy but doable in trail runners.
Lovely and easy ! Beautiful views ! I really recommended this trial !
Very physically challenging but if you push yourself you'll be rewarded with spectacular views.
