I thought this might be easy because it was so short, and it was, but dang that’s some steep sand in places. I threw my shots in the back of the truck on the way back because they were so muddy with sand. That being said, do not come to Pacific City and skip this hike. It gorgeous! I hiked on a very cold and rainy day, so the trail was mine alone. Watching the sun go down over haystack rock was a gratifying experience. This is so much more than a beach walk/hike.

Always a fun family hike and enjoy the beautiful views!

love this beach, it's about a 35 minute drive from Forks. Easy to locate, grate place to walk my dog. Best during low tide when you can walk out to the tide pools and checkout the starfish and other critters in the tide pools, beautiful scenic views. (the old logs that used to make access to the beach difficult have been cut down to make a path)

Pretty muddy most of the year so bring some good hiking boots and an extra towel if you have a 4 legged companion! Otherwise, the views are spectacular are more than you could ever ask for a hike under 5 miles and essentially no elevation again.

Always a fun hike to do! Scenic and a fun discovery each time. Go down the coastal trail and end up at China Beach! A must!

Not much of a hike, but amazing views! The sunsets can be amazing if it's not too overcast. Also - the stars are so bright! No light pollution.

Chill well populated hike. Mostly flat. Take detour to beach

Views of Pacific and GGB, mostly within forest

Beautiful spot as always..no rain today like 2 yrs ago.trail wet and muddy in a cou0ke of spots not too bad..beautiful pics!

Really fun and fairly easy trail! I will say that the second half of the trail becomes very, very rooted. I went the day after it rained and it was very slick and muddy in some spots, so make sure you bring a pair of sturdy shoes that are waterproof.

I only saw a couple of other people on the way out (started at 10:30am Sat), but ran into many groups of people coming back. Parking lot was full when I left at 1pm.

Also, beware of the lifting chain link on the trail if you bring a dog or small child. Some parts of the links were lifted and could have cut a paw or tripped a kid. Would not suggest letting your dog off leash, although many people did let their dog roam free.

Overall a nice hike with great views. Recommend getting there early and coming prepared for mud.

Fantastic hike. Unbeatable views of the great Pacific. We saw jelly fish and sea lions! My fiancé completed this entire trail 6 months pregnant! The roots are intense at times but it’s not bad if you take it slow. We were blessed with perfect weather! Here is a video of our hike - https://youtu.be/rkmfI9EKhFg

Enjoy the trails!!!

Cheers!

Lush green trail. About 30 minutes in you get a spectacular view of the coast! Definitely want to do more of this trail.

Amazing scenery right around the corner from the lodge. Hiked (I guess you could call it that since it’s pretty easy relative to 2nd or 3rd beach) once in the dark of night for some astrophotography shots and then again in the morning. Even though we had hazy weather the scenery was fantastic with great reflections off the beach.

Beautiful but surprisingly more difficult than expected due to being on sand and pebbles. Crowded but understandably so due to the views and starting right on the beach.

Had a great time hiking Land's End Trail and walking at the beach. This hike is fun and easy. We ate lunch at the Cliff House. Food was fine but I threw up after consuming 1 glass of alcohol. That must have been my body telling it did not want alcohol after a good hike.

Beautiful place

Beautiful

Beautiful trail but does have 2 pretty large inclines.

Beautiful view

One of the most beautiful views.

This trail was great! Some ocean views along the way and a superb ocean view (108* view) at the end of the trail. Some parts were pretty muddy and some of the big root sections had little ponds of water so I was glad I wore my extra tuff tall boots. Brought my dog with me and she loved the trail too :-) when we got to the end of the trail it was sunny and warm, felt like summer! Fun trail and definitely would recommend!

Super peaceful walk, just you and the birds.
I went when the lighthouse was closed maybe that’s why nobody else was on the beach?

Such a beautiful
Location. The rock formations are stunning. It’s a nice mix of beach, water, and natural rock. Great walk with pup

Incredible wild trail and one of the best parts of San Francisco.

Steep scenic hike down a neon pink ice plant covered cliff with several benches enabling you to take your time when coming back up to take in the perfect views of the rocks and wild beaches. Lovely large multi-colored pebble like sand. Large wild waves crash on the beach - it's not a beach you'd want to try and swim in. Large beautiful Greyhound rock that's fun to climb on to get even closer to the waves.

Easy beach access, and a beautiful place to watch the sunset
