Crowded, nice walk and views. Some trails not shown on the maps are not open to the public and they’re fun to explore.

Definitely counterclockwise direction. It was a smooth way back down to parking lot. Mud, cow poop and wet grass is abundant depending on (writing this down in January) climate. We did enjoy this hike. Bring proper shoes and walking sticks were also helpful.

I highly recommend completing the hike counterclockwise. The trail was fairly muddy so I’d recommend shoes that can be washed easily. There is a lot of wildlife on the trail including ground squirrels and cattle. Horses are allowed to use the trail so watch your step. Dogs are not allowed. Keep in mind half your hike is uphill. Enjoy!

We went for a weekend hike in November and really enjoyed it! Did the counterclockwise route as suggested and would recommend it as well. For most of the walk we didn’t run into others. Nice open spaces, Wild turkeys, and good views at the top.

Clear skies, very windy, great views of the Bay and the ocean. Some incline and some decline but plenty of gentle grade.

Great walk. Somehow in hilly SF, there are a lot of flat nature hikes and walks. This one has more incline which is nice. I suggest walking there and back rather than walking the loop so you can enjoy the coastal breathtaking views instead of the road. We decided to not turnaround or take the loop and instead we kept walking to Baker Beach, then through the Presidio and finally into the Marina for lunch. It took about 2 hours 15 mins or 7 miles and my Fitbit recorded I burned 780 calories!

It was a blast and we were exhausted after, but I couldn’t believe all the fantastic views we had! After, we Lyfted back to our car, but we could have Scooted or Jump Biked because the ride was through the Presidio and neighborhood streets. Excellent trek!

Beautiful views of ocean and bridge and lots of fun landmarks to see. We did this hike as the loop, part of which is the road, and if we did it again, would stick to an out and back on the coastal trail- this is where the best views were and felt more like a hike (vs. a walk along the road). Detour to labyrinth/beach was worth the stairs!

Love this trail! My husband & I have hiked these trails a bunch of times. Nice views & history. Simple hike & close to home.

This trail was perfect for a beginner had a little of everything.. views, shady trees, rough areas, we loved will do it again

Must do in San Francisco. Lands End is a unique stand out among the stunning west coast (obviously there are plenty of other amazing spots as well) that’s incredibly accessible.

6 or 3 miles hikes loop! amazing views and it was fun and challenging getting across some big rocks on the trail. Would definitely do it again!

Great place for great views. Friendly for hitting, jogging. Easy “hike” for most kids, but there are some steps that need to be navigated so some could struggle a bit.

On a clear day we were even able to see bits of Monterey Bay from this trail.

dog friendly but on leash, good trail well kept, decently marked.

Short and easy and not too crowded. The hills being reflected in the lake look great at sunset. Better trail during winter or non sunny days.

Love this app! Makes hiking easy and fun!

I really enjoyed this ike. Loved the views, reminded me of England

Amazing scenery where you could both see the Pacific Ocean and Bay Area. Friendly to hiker and biker. Worth to visit again!

It took several hours, nice view! However, the weather is too dry, a lot of dust on the trail. Will suggest to try after little rain.

Arguable the most beautiful trail I’ve ever hiked. Period. If you are not afraid of heights, definitely try to climb on some of the rocks that can help you see the view better.

beautiful trail, it was in the easier side.

Good trail but only problem is a lot of poop on trail. So winter time is ok but summertime is smelly Except that it is good hiking place near Bay Area

Can have some steep points that are closed depending on weather. viewing the old garrison areas is enjoyable and a nice place to sit for a snack.

Just a little strenuous and good views. Usually not too crowded.

Beautiful and cozy trail and it’s mixed with the nature. Very relaxing.
