Great hike and not too bad if you are in shape. Did this and both bee hives plus the plain of six glaciers all at once. Roughly 11 miles and definitely doable in 1 day

Easy hike for in shape people and worth the trip. Very touristy but that’s ok.

Excellent hike and worth the views. Not all that challenging if you’re in shape. If not it will be a leg burner.

We got to Johnston Canyon at 9:00am and there weren’t many people on the trail. The trail to the Ink Pots is well marked and people were scarce on that part of the hike. However, on the way back the falls were packed with people so it’s best to start early.

There were some dips in the path which made for nice inclines so your legs can get a good workout instead of just walking on flat terrain.

The Ink Pots themselves were majestic and a great place to explore; the Upper and Lower Falls were beautiful and it was even better enjoying them without crowds of people.

Worth the effort. Incredible views, esp of the valley behind the lake.

Family stroll around lake. Amazing views, excellent trail.

Fantastic Hike. We started around 7am and only ran into 2 other people. It was cloudy when we started, but after the first 2,000 feet or so we got above the clouds and the views were incredible. I'd say it was very challenging, but well worth it. Probably my favorite hike at Banff.

Awesome hike on the way up. Steep and challenging, but well worth the trek once you reach the top. The only issue I had with this hike was on the way down. What looked to be a path was definitely NOT one. It led me off trail and into the forest for some bushwhacking. Luckily, I managed to get to a road and found myself a couple of kilometres from the EEOR parking lot. Important note: as you are descending, stay left!

Nice trail with rewarding views towards top. Not ideal to do mid-day on a hot day. Shady spots throughout thankfully. Big range of hikers on this trail. Parents carrying toddlers to 70 yrs old. Good workout!

Great hike for families even infants and old people. I’m unfit and it took me 45 minutes each way.

Slightly challenging if you’re with someone sedentary but great views.

Such a great hike! At an incline pretty much the entire hike, but well worth it at the top and at various points to see Lake Louise and Mirror Lake. We were planning on getting here pretty early, but ended up running late. As expected there were tons of people on the trail and at the tea house. I also did not realize the tea house is sit down with table service, which made waiting for a table much longer. Still worth the views. I made it to the top in about 40 minutes.

Easy walk and great way to get some pictures of the lake without all the tourists by the entrance.

Nice but crowded

If you're unfit and lazy like me, a little under half of the hike is actually pretty tough. But its completely worth it. Gorgeous views at the top and at the end there are two red chairs. If you go with a partner, make sure to bring a couple of cold ones to crack, lay back and enjoy.

Love light and respect

Some great views of the valley and a very reasonable hike.

Great hike when you are limited on time. The views were wonderful. Challenging at parts and switchbacks were a nice change.

Amazing views!!!

Beautiful view along the way to it. From lake Louise and lake mirror and further up to Agnes. Three steps to explore further and further. Amazing!

Stunning hike - not to steep, and the ground is very easy to walk on! If you want more of a challenge, continue on to the Big Bee Hive!

eine super Tour mit immer wieder tollen Ausblicken

Fantastic trail! Beautiful views and varied terrain. Watch for bears - we saw some.

10/10 views. Lots of steps. Sooo many people at the top, but you will get why, as the view is magnificent. scramble down some rocks to get picks without 100 million people in them. the color of the lake is un like anything. Watch out for thieving chipmunks.

10/10 views. Paved, very short trail with steep incline to the look out. Bathrooms in the parking lot. SOOO many people acting like fools.

The views from this hike were exceptional. Definitely do the circuit clockwise (going up to Cory Pass first rather than Edith Pass) as Cory Pass is very steep and would be challenging to descend. The trail up to Cory Pass was a bit hard to follow at points and had a lot of side trails branching off so it was tough to tell what was the correct route. Once you reach the ridge it's easier to follow though. At the pass you can follow a trail up to Mt. Edith (which I did not but it looked like scrambling was required near the top). Descending into Gargoyle Valley after Cory Pass was beautiful and once you exit the valley it's pretty easy hiking through forest. Vastly different from the other side of Mt. Edith though with lots of different vegetation. Overall a physically challenging and sometimes hard to follow but very rewarding hike!

Not a long hike, but fairly steep. It's worth going up to the Little Beehive or Big Beehive from Lake Agnes. Less chance of running into a bear with all the people on the trail :)
Parking at Lake Louise however, is a whole other story! Went on a Thursday, got there at 10am and still had to go back to the shuttles and wait 45 min to get on one.... The entire day we had to be mindful of the time so we don't miss the shuttle back... Very dissapointing that they can't build more parking.
