Snowy today and a bit slippery in parts. Be sure to wear layers, hat, gloves, proper hiking boots, and bring poles if you are not steady. Was able to complete the hike in an hour. No views today because of the weather.

Great hike to upper falls. Overcast and misting rain. Here at 8:30 and alone most of the way up. Heavier traffic on return.

Easy path, beautiful canyon and thrilling waterfall at the end.

One of my all time favourite views.

Pretty easy trail. The trail is well travelled so it's nice and wide open. Great views from the top. Good short hike if you're looking for something that's not hard but still gives great views

We arrive around 1pm today, Lot 1 was full, but lot 2 had space. The hike was nice, a little crowded, but not bad. My only disappointment was that I couldn't get down to the "cave" to take photos of the giant rock from below. The area was closed due to nesting of the Black Swift. Hopefully next time.

Was a great little hike. Took about 1.5 hours including picture stops. Some snow today and a bit of mud, but not too bad and still good footing.

The crowd is worth dealing with to see the many beautiful falls on this lovely trail. Hope to go again and be able to go all the way to the ink pots

Definitely not a hike, rather a walk to a view point of Morraine Lake. Great views from the top of the lake and surrounding mountains (though we went today 9/13 and there was heavy snow and limited visibility so the view was very obstructed). Parking is extremely limited and unless you get there early will need to park elsewhere and take a shuttle (for a fee I believe) or be part of a tour group. The one huge drawback (other than lack of parking) is the large number of tour groups that show up and inundate the trail and view points. To me really takes away from the beauty of the place when are trying to enjoy it and people are jostling to get past you to take their millions of selfies. It seems that many would rather take pictures of themselves there then taking in the beauty of it all.

Good, but too full

Short hike, with a few larches and fireweed :) nice lakes.

Pretty walk through the woods. A tough scramble at the end to get close to the lake. The lake itself was nothing special. Especially after just seeing Moraine Lake!

The view from the top is of course spectacular, but this is not a hike. Just a short climb up a series of rock staircases.

As many will say best time to go is early or late. We arrived at the parking lot at 9 AM on a Tuesday in Sept and the lot was only 1/3 full. By the time we got back to our car at 11 (after going to the upper falls) both the primary and secondary lots were completely full. The trail itself is a paved trail with may catwalks all the way to the upper falls, but still interesting with great views all the way up. Make sure to take your time to enjoy the views and don't get stressed by all the people and go into it realizing you will need to wait at some of the best viewpoints to get your videos and pictures while others take theirs. Not a technically challenging hike at all, but round trip is about 3.4 miles with a solid elevation gain so make sure you have comfortable shoes on (many wore sneakers). Definitely glad we did, but not one I'd be anxious to do again mainly because of the crowds.

A fairly quick (1-1.5 hours at a casual pace) hike with some great views of the Bow Valley to the East and West (including the town of Banff). Certainly can be done by people of all ages and abilities, but there are some steeper sections could tire some people out that are not in great shape so would recommend going slow if you are fairly new to hiking. Experienced hikers and those in good shape can get up pretty quickly and as some have mentioned there are usually some people running the trail. Some of the best views are on the way up especially to the East side of the mountain over the Banff Springs Golf Course and Rundle Mountain.

Easy! Go earliest you can or late evening to avoid the crowds. Tour buses give only enough time to make it to the lower falls so upper is even less trafficked. It’s beautiful and worth seeing but I prefer less crowded and a little more challenging.

when I arrived the tea house I realized there was no view from this level.
Most of the ascent to the tea house was in the woods and there was a little view all the way.
The only view is from the little beehive that was 1km ascend.

A super easy fast hike with a great view of some falls at the end. The canyon is fascinating, I really enjoyed this hike, I did it at dusk and got some gorgeous pictures.

I recommend everyone check this out. Easy to fit in after a long hike or while passing through!

This hike is really crowded but the views are great and the tea house is lovely. You can help out the tea house by bringing down trash bags to help them out.

This trail was great for us with a three year old and 20 month old. We took the baby in a backpack but could have easily used a stroller at this time of year. Our three year old managed the hike to the upper falls with minimal complaints. We knew that this trail was likely to get very busy so set off early (around 8.30am) and on the way up the route up was really quiet and we only saw a few people. However, by the time we were coming back down, busloads of tourists had arrived and it was much busier. There is a lovely shop/cafe at the base of the trail.

The beautiful colors of the lake really look gorgeous

So epic!

Very nice hike, you have a great view on Lake Louise and pass Mirror Lake before arriving at Lake Agnes.

Waterfalls were great but the crowd puts a dent in the rating. A paved trail. Certainly not natural.

It's a very nice hike. Definately well worth the trip. We went end of August.

its a. busy hike ..it is a little smoky still but nice ..p.s if u want to take an alternative route down thats quieter take the horse trail down..its muddy but super quiet ....

I love this hike, I do it every time I visit. An easy walk or run up, and you get great views! Perfect to do with a doggo at your side.

This is a pleasant, easy hike with decent views provided you go early in the morning when it’s not absolutely jam packed with people.

The waterfalls and canyon were nice, but if you’re willing to put in a little more time & effort you can find much more interesting and dramatic scenery in the area.

This hike took us 2hr up and 1.5 down at a fairly moderate pace. The last portion after the boulders was a bit of grind but you can't NOT go to the top, the views are amazing and make the trip fully worth it. NOTE: the boulders are not the ones when you first come out of the trees, you must continue up the small trail along the scree field and then climb over the boulders to get to the final portion, it took us 20 min from the boulders to the top. Enjoy :)
